Sources say that after listening to several scripts and stories, Chiru has more or less okayed one. It is being said that Prabhu Deva, who is doing Pournami now, may direct the venture. Masses man Chiranjeevi lived up to the reputation again. Chiru's daughter's wedding with Vishnu Prasad was the event of the week. All the top dignitaries in Andhra and all the leading names in South Indian films were at hand for the marriage. But the megastar knew that his support base is the public, the man on the street. So the true mass hero that he is, he threw a massive reception for the public yesterday. It was a grand party and every bit enjoyable that he threw of the big names. Held at Cyber Gardens, more than 5000 fans turned out for the gala event.

The night of March 29 will go down the history of Andhra Pradesh (mind you, it is not just for the Andhra filmdom) as a memorable one. It was when Chiranjeevi formally received his Padma Bhushan award from the hands of President A P J Abdul Kalam. A rare honor for a film artiste, Chiranjeevi was humility personified when he received the award. It was a proud moment for the entire Andhra Pradesh. Befittingly, the Andhra filmdom has planned a huge felicitation function for the monarch of the industry for getting this honor.

Life is at best for hero Chiranjeevi at the moment. His popularity has reached every corner of the country after bagging the prestigious Padma Bhushan Award this year. Now, he has fans everywhere. He was mobbed by hundreds of fans recently during the shooting of his latest film in Tamilnadu. The megastar has been shooting in and around Chennai city for the last two weeks for his film 'Stalin'. Thousands of fans flooded the sets of the film to have a glance of the actor. Hundreds of fans mobbed him while shooting with Trisha at Mayajaal. Director Murugadoss is happy with the pace at which the film is progressing, 35 percent of its shooting is completed in record time. Meanwhile, Telugu film industry is planning to organize a big function at Hyderabad on April 9 for Chiru for bagging the prestigious Padma Bhushan Award. Various organizations in the film industry are organizing this grand event for the living legend.
Chiru function put off
The Telugu film industry was eager to celebrate the Padma Bhushan award to Chiranjeevi. That is why it had organized the mega felicitation function on April 9. But now more big names from elsewhere maybe participating. The news is that Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan will be participating in the event. In the event, the felicitation function has been put off to April 23. The decision was taken by a team of Telugu film producers. Zee Telugu, which has bagged the telecast rights, will beam the show live.
Chiru provides the fun
It was a grand show in Dubai and the local Telugus there went home happy as Chiranjeevi, the biggest star of them all, was at hand to add meaning to the function. The occasion was World Telugu Federation meet and Chiru was a special guest. The meet also had a special cultural show with the likes of Lawrence, Mallikharjun, Sunitha, Abhinaya Shri at hand to provide the music and dance. The Federation presented a Swarna Kamalam to Chiru on the occasion. But Chiru whole-heartedly gave it back for it to be used for the betterment of Telugus living in Dubai.
