Risk is not a Chor Police Story, says Vishram Sawant

'Risk' is all set to hit the theatres this December. This thriller with the family backdrop stars Randeep Hooda as Suryakant, Vinod Khanna as Khalid and Tanushree Dutta as Shradha in the lead roles. It also stars Seema Biswas, Makrand Deshpandey and Yashpal Sharma is supporting roles. The movie Risk is a story of an honest and upright cop Suryakant, who is struggling through a dilemma. One risk can change his life. But he realizes his job is full of risks and doing his duty honestly is the toughest job. He is standing at the crossroad of a dilemma of serving his duty or be committed to his family or his love Shradha, as they pay a heavy price for his honesty. 'Risk' is the other side of the cop's life. It's the jeopardy his family faces for standing by him and his commitment to his uniform. His victory has a heavy price attached to it. This thriller with family backdrop is shot in various locations like Bangkok, Dubai, Austria and Mumbai. Randeep Hooda plays the righteous and courageous 'Khaki bearer'. Carving a strong, confident and gutsy police officer that stands by commitments to his uniform. Tanushree Dutta plays opposite Randeep, a dancer in the movie and Veteran actor Vinod Khanna plays the lion in the den, with a new, stylized avtar as a don. Director Vishram Sawant, speaking on Risk expressed, 'Its not the typical 'chor-police' play, but brings forward the serious aspect of a cops life - 'duty'. A strong willed, dedicated cop, whose priority is his duty and at any cost. This movie is the other side of the story, an honest cop standing of a crossroad of a dilemma to take a risk. His job itself is a tough risk and doing it honestly a tougher job. It's a movie with a very strong character and hard-hitting story, which conveys a message and not the motives.' He added, 'Risk salutes the courage of those honest officers who are strangled in this system and still doing their duty in true sense not for the name or fame. It's about dedication for your work & courage of doing something right.'

My role in 'Bank-Chor' unlike stereotypical comedian: Kapil Sharma

Stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma, who is ready to make a film debut with Yash Raj Films' (YRF) "Bank-Chor", says his role in the movie defies the stereotypical portrayal of a comedian. The 32-year-old has signed a three-film contract with YRF. "Bank-Chor" will be produced under the production banner's Youth Films Division Y-Films, which made "Mere Dad Ki Maruti". "It’s a privilege and a dream to be part of the YRF family and have my launch with their Youth Films Studio, Y-Films. The script is the most exciting part since it's the kind of role that's very unlike the stereotype of a comedian or what people could typecast me as," Kapil said in a statement. He says that he has already started "working on the nuances of the character". "I've always loved and watched thrillers and this is a thriller comedy, so it's even better," said the star comedian, who has become a rage courtesy his hit chat show "Comedy Nights With Kapil". He is excited about turning over a new leaf with the movie. "I’ve done serious theatre for years before comedy. Finally with YRF’s vision, I’ll get to do this again after a 12-year break and this script has equal scope of comedy. It’s sure to surprise my fans," he said. "Bank-Chor", directed by Bumpy and produced by Ashish Patil, is a comic caper that tells the story of three people who pick a wrong day to rob a bank. What happens when the trio is inadvertently caught in a crossfire of cops, industrialists and corrupt politicians, forms the rest of the story.
