Popular producer KS Ramarao, who had produced several hit films with Mega Star Chiranjeevi, was elected as chairman of the Film Nagar Cultural Centre (FNCC) unanimously in the elections that were held recently. KS Ramarao had produced several films on the banner of Creative Commercials some time ago. The last film he produced was 'Chukkallo Chandrudu' with Siddhartha as hero. Presently, he is making another film 'Bujjigadu' (Made in Chennai) with Young Rebel Star Prabhas as hero under the direction of versatile director Puri Jagannath. musicmazaa.com wishes all the best to KS Ramarao on the occasion of his election to the FNCC as chairman.
'Tenali Rama Krishna' under Creative Commercials banner
'Tenali Ramakrishna' of Akkineni Nageswara Rao was proved a massive hit those days. The Telugu audiences gave a wide applause to his performance. KS Rama Rao gave several hits with Chiranjeevi on the banner of 'Creative Commercials' banner. He had also made 'Chanti' with Venkatesh which was also proved a major hit. However, his recent film 'Chukkallo Chandrudu' failed to click. But he is returning with a big bang and is getting ready for a film with Prabhas in the lead under the direction of Puri Jagannath. The film is likely to go to sets in June 2007. Meanwhile, the producer had registered a title 'Tenali ' Rama ' Krishna' with the Film Chamber recently on Creative Commercials banner. Good times, at last
After a pitiful 2005, this year has started pretty decently for Tollywood. The year has so far seen more hits than the corresponding year last year. Style is a certain hit. Happy with Allu Arjun is a hit. Ranam has opened to good collections. Chukkallo Chandrudu had its moments at the urban centers. Two other Sankranthi releases Lakshmi and Devadasu are close to completing 50 days across several centers. Devadasu's YVS Chowdary is over the moon at the good response that his film has elicited. He told newsmen yesterday that Devadasu has vindicated his belief that people always back a good entertainer. The film's music has been a great hit.
Sada's big plans
Sada has looks. Has style. Has talent. Has professionalism. Yet, having started with a bang with a commercial hit like Jayam, the beautiful actress has not had the success to show for her efforts. And it is not because she has not tried enough. Sada has in fact given it all. But somehow big time has eluded her. Though she has it in her to make it to the top, she is still wallowing at the middle level. But the year 2006 will hopefully be different. The year has started promisingly. Chukkallo Chandrudu has brought her good name. In fact, Sada has managed to hold her own against two other heroines ---Charmi and Saloni. Now Sada has pinned a lot of hope on the movie that she is doing with Balakrishna. Produced under the Ambika Cinema, the movie is a typical commercial entertainer. But Sada, who has to again vie for beauty honors with Tanushree Dutta, is certain that the movie will bring her good name. She feels that her role in the movie is well etched. The film's shooting is progressing very fast and veering towards a close. The audio is slated for release this month and the movie itself may make it to the cinema halls by April.
Saloni moves elsewhere
Despite the good show in Chukkallo Chandrudu, Saloni has not got the right breaks in Telugu. Saloni was ravishing in Chukkallo Chandrudu with her sculpted figure (the tennis player outfits were stunning). But she has nothing much to show for her efforts here. The news is that she is looking for opportunities elsewhere. Sources say Saloni is moving towards Tamil. The young actress has been cast as the heroine in a film named Madurai Veeran. Ramesh (the hero of the Telugu film Vidyarthi) and the son of producer R B Chowdary plays the hero. Incidentally, the movie is a remake of the Telugu hit Nuvve Nenu
