Collection King to play special role in Siri Creations movie

A film is likely to be launched with Collection King, Padma Shri, Dr Mohanbabu, in a special role on the banner of Siri Creations with M Satyanarayana is the producer. Producer Satyanarayana's son is being introduced as hero through this movie, which is to be directed by Sai Balaji. The character in this film was designed in a different style by keeping Mohanbabu's image and body language in view. It is worth mentioning here that it was the next film after the prestigious film 'Yamadonga' in which he played a mythological role as Yamadharma Raju. The film is all set to go to sets very soon.

Stalin collects over Rs 30 cr in 30 days

It was once again proved that Mega Star Chiranjeevi is an emperor in Tollywood. His latest flick 'Stalin' had rewritten the entire 75-year-old Telugu film history by getting the highest ever collections by crossing Rs 30-crore mark in 30 days. Never in the past, there was such a big hit at box-office which had made the mark so far. The movie had recovered the cost of the budget in the second week itself and with this share the movie has recovered the selling cost of the buyers, with the latter entering the profit zone. Another interesting point to note here is that this is the fourth time in the Telugu film history a hero scored Rs 30 plus crore shares, with the earlier films such as Indra, Tagore, Shankar Dada MBBS and now Stalin. The figures are being given to substantiate the victory ' Nizam Rs 9.40 crore, Ceded Rs 6.50 crore, UA Rs 3 crore, East 1.75 crore, West 1.44 crore, Krishna Rs 1.50 crore, Guntur, Rs 1,75,42,950, Nellore 1,00,42,000, Karnataka Rs 2.25 crore, Tamil Nadu Rs 40 lakh, North India Rs 60 lakh, while Overseas Rs 2,25,00,000. All put together it amounts Rs 32,04,14,938.

Stalin collects record Rs 24 crore for two weeks

Mega Star and Padmabhushan Chiranjeevi, who gave sensational message-oriented hit films like 'Indra' and 'Tagore' has again set another new record with his latest flick 'Stalin' directed by Murugadoss and produced by K Nagendrababu. The film is creating new records in terms of collections. 'Stalin' had collected over Rs 6 crore share on the first day itself, which is a record in the history of Indian film industry. The film had again collected Rs 17 crores during the first one week, which is a new record in the south Indian film industry. According to latest reports, the film had collected Rs 24,42,80,110 shares for the first two weeks. The details of shares area-wise is as follows: Share in Rs: Nizam ' 7,09,35,155, Ceded ' 4,18,86,650, north Andhra ' 2,26,14,390, Guntur ' 1,58,20,960, East ' 1,41,62,720, West ' 1,27,77,505, Krishna ' 1,35,40,580, Nellore ' 88,07,450, Karnataka ' 1,75,15,600, Overseas ' 1,92,00,000, Chennai ' 30,02,520, North India ' 45,16,580. All put together the total share is 24,42,80,110.

'Annavaram' collects Rs 23 cr in 3 weeks

The Pawan Kalyan-Asin starrer 'Annavaram' directed by Bhimaneni Srinivasa Rao, presented by RB Choudary and produced by NV Prasad and Paras Jain on the banner of Megaa Super Good Films was released on December 29 and proved a mega hit film. The movie is creating wonders in revenue collections. It is going to create a new record over all previous films' collections in very few days. The film had collected Rs 13 crores in the first week all over the world. It has gone up Rs 18 crore in the second week and Rs 23 crore for the third week. The producers were of the opinion that their film would rewrite the records of collections of the 75-year-old film history if the collections continue in the same trend. Another speciality is that the film is being watched in the same pattern in all the A, B and C centres. Moreover, the film is collecting more revenue than the earlier hit film of Pawan Kalyan, 'Khushi'. Another highlight in the film is that it is still being screened in 15 theatres in Hyderabad alone even in the fourth week after its release.

'Desamuduru' collects Rs 12 crore for first week

The Allu Arjun-Hansika Muthwani starrer 'Desamuduru' directed by Puri Jagannath and produced by Bhagawan and Danayya on the banner of Universal media was released on January 12 and proved a mega hit. The film is collecting huge amounts area-wise. The details of collections given by the producers are as follows. Nizam ' Rs 4,25,17,526, Ceded ' Rs 2,20,57,565, Vizag ' Rs 1,06,00,609, Guntur ' Rs 92,69, 321, Krishna ' Rs 70,04,538, West ' Rs 58,67,279, East ' Rs 82,82, 921, Nellore ' Rs 52,56,691, Karnataka ' Rs 65,20,269, Other areas share ' Rs 24,32,821, Overseas ' Rs 60,35,539. The total gross collections are ' Rs 12,58,45,079.

'Yogi' collected Rs 18 crore share, say producers

Directed by VV Vinayak and produced by Ravindranath Reddy on the banner of Eswari Films with Young Rebel Star Prabhas and Nayanatara in the lead, 'Yogi' was released as Sankranti gift. The film based on mother sentiment had completed 50 days on March 4 in 186 centres. Addressing the press briefing director VV Vinayak says, 'Though the film was declared a flop in the beginning, the audiences slowly realised the greatness in the film and made it a big hit. We are proud for giving such a big commercial hit.' Producers say, 'The film had collected Rs 25 crore gross and Rs 18 crore share in 50 days time in over 186 centres. These figures prove that the audiences made the film a big hit. We are proud for producing such a good film which was also successful commercially.'
