Trust Ramu to keep people entertained. While his films have entertained audience for more than a decade, his interviews too have always carried the required spice. Now he is having a great time reacting to dozens of comments that he is receiving in response to his blogs. View RGV Video Interview View RGV Video Interview We produce some real gems below where Ramu has reacted to quite a few reactions in his own characteristic wit and sarcasm. Read on and have fun! 1. Is failure not being able to achieve your goal? Ans: I think there's no such thing as achievement for the simple reason that as soon as you achieve it its boring. It's the run towards it is what is exciting. 2. Instead of answering yes or no why do you subject us to your gyan? Ans: Sorry sir. 3. Make good movies and let your work speak for you. Ans: Ok sir. 4. From your actress Amrutha am expecting good performance apart from cleavage show. Ans: You mean you want both? 5. Why did the people in Sarkar Raj celebrate if they were supposed to be ambiguous? Ans: That was a mistake. I hoped that you would not catch it. 6. Was it a conscious decision to not have dark antagonists in Sarkar Raj? Ans: My intent was to create a new set of characters. To like them or not is your prerogative. 7. Please write about the making of Company. Ans: Will do as soon as I get time. 8. How is it that Hollywood recognizes talent better? Ans: Because they have better brains and for a change I am not being sarcastic. I mean it. 9. You say that Satya released in 97, the promo says 98. Ans: Does it matter that much to you? 10. What role did you play in Dil Se? Ans: None. Both mine and Shekhar Kapoor's names were there just in a friendly level. 11. What do you think of Chiranjeevi's political entry? Ans: Nothing. 12. Get rid of those 4-5 people around you. Ans: Thanks for the brilliant suggestion. 13. Did you ever cry on a girl? Ans: Yes. I pretended. I believe that nobody genuinely cries. We all pretend to draw attention to our cause. 14. I didn't expect a back flip of that guy with the use of wires from Contract a quasi-trilogy of Satya and Company. Ans: To start with Contract is not a realistic dark moody film like the earlier films. Also the protagonist is not from the underworld. It's more in the genre of a Rambo kind of film but packaged in a very rustic and realistic setting. The scenes and characters are designed to create a slightly tongue-in-cheek entertainment. If Satya is a mix of Goodfellas and the Scarface in its treatment, Company is from Godfather, then Contract is derived from the tone of Luc Besson films. View RGV Video Interview View RGV Video Interview 15. Sorry to say I will not watch Contract. Ans: Thank you sir. 16. I am trying to get hold of a copy of Drohi. Ans: Now why the hell would you want to do that? 17. Contract will be a warning to those who thought Ramu is out and dead. Ans: Or it might put him out and dead. 18. I think all the time you are just having fun. Ans: Yes. 19. How were you in your childhood? Ans: Like an adult. 20. What kind of horror movies do you like to watch? Ans: The kind which lets your imagination scare you. 21. Is Phoonk copied from Exorcist? Ans: Exorcist was about demonic possession. Phoonk is not. 22. Why don't Gods or their prophets just make an appearance and put a lock on every atheist's mouth? Ans: Superb observation. Let's just hope that the Gods read this blog and take a cue. 23. My mum comforted me saying people have hit you for making Raat and scaring children. Ans: Ha Ha. 24. You are the prestidigitator of movie making. Ans: Whatever that means, it sounds obscene.
Sameer signs 5 film contract with Nikhil Advani
After writing lyrics for more than 6000 songs for more than 564 Hindi films, 22 Bhojpuri films, 32 private albums, having more than 25 years of experience in the film industry, achieving three Filmfare awards for best lyrics, nominated for 9 Filmfare, 3 IIFA, 1 Zee Cine, and 1 screen awards, Sameer is all set to write history again. Director-Producer Nikhil Advani has signed Sameer for his 5 upcoming movies. It is happening for the first time in Bollywood's history that a lyricist is been signed by any director for writing lyrics for his upcoming movies on this scale. It is because of Sameer's proficiency and hard work that he is one of the most prolific Bollywood lyricists. Sameer's versatility and imagination has dropped five upcoming movies of Nikhil Advani in his pocket. Nikhil Advani, a well known director of movies like Kal Ho Na Ho and Saalam-e-Ishq has done wonders on silver screen and now after signing Sameer for his five films, some more wonders are also expected. Sameer is pleased with his latest achievement as he wants to write more melodious songs which are meaningful along with making people happy. He has the ability of expressing most precious emotions in words. On the other hand, Nikhil is also very happy that Sameer will write songs for his films. Sameer has worked with the maximum number of music directors and whatever his critics said; he proved his excellence in work. He has done a maximum number of films i.e. 146 with the music director duo of Anand Milind, writing for approx 899 songs for them. Although Sameer wrote his first song 'Gori pareshaan hai kali pareshaan hai'' for the movie 'Bekhabar', it was with Dil that Sameer became the hottest new lyricist on the block. The turning point of his career was Ashiqui for which Sameer occupied centre stage. His melodious words in Ashiqui created the biggest impact on the hearts of listeners. After that, Sameer firmly established himself as the first choice of music directors. Nowadays he is working with the top notch composers and directors. His latest ventures are Race and Mere Baap Pehle Aap in which he has proved his brilliance. 'Pehli Nazar Main' song from the movie Race has registered the top position for a long time for him and now his new song 'Ishq Subhaan Allah' from the movie Mere Baap Pehle Aap is a dance track which has made everyone hit the dance floor. Sameer has taken the music of Hindi motion pictures to a level ahead. Sameer has been honored for three Filmfare awards for his movies- Aashiqui, Deewana and Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke and for the movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, he has won Zee Cine Award also. Sameer had to go through his share of toil and hardship to achieve this position. His father was also a well known lyricist whose name helped him to get an audition with music directors but beyond this it nearly proved to be his under doing. Sameer says, 'I have learned from my father that nothing succeeds like success in the film industry and once the ball is set in motion, there is no stopping for it.' After the recent triumph in his professional life, Sameer seems to have reached an elevation in his career. A lyricist, who says that pain has to be first felt to be able to express it, says that now is the most creative time, and is doing fewer but quality oriented movies including this new venture with Director Nikhil Advani.

Contrasting outings for Devgan this July
Trust versatile Ajay Devgan to keep throwing one surprise after another. After two back to back releases in December last year, 'Apaharan' and 'Shikhar', he would now be in a similar situation as two of his flicks 'Golmaal' and 'Omkara' release on 14th and 28th July respectively. The only differentiating factor being that unlike 'Apaharan', which was a hit and 'Shikhar', which was a flop, both 'Golmaal' and 'Omkara' appear to be certain successes at the box office. While there are no doubts about 'Omkara' taking a bumper opening at the box office, what with numerous factors such as unique setting, interesting characterizations and overall good pre-release buzz for the film going in it's favor, 'Golmaal' too doesn't seem to be lagging too far behind! Reason? It has the magic genre of 'comedy' associated with it, something that has been working phenomenally well for Bollywood in last year and a half. Also, due to a multi-starcast appeal, hit music by Vishal-Shekhar, some genuinely funny promos and presence of Paresh Rawal [who plays a blind man] in the film, 'Golmaal' should only gain at the box office if the word of mouth is good after the first weekend. After Kajol, who delivered superhit 'Fanaa' along with Aamir Khan and Kunal Kohli a few weeks back, its turn of hubby Ajay to repeat the fate with 'Golmaal' and 'Omkara'
Role in 'Kshanam' total contrast to my TV avatar: Anasuya
Known mostly for her bubbly and glamorous avatars on television, actress Anasuya Bharadwaj hopes to impress audiences in the contrasting role of a gun-toting police officer in upcoming Telugu thriller "Kshanam". "My role in 'Kshanam' is so different from how I've been accepted on television all these years. Audiences who have gotten used to seeing me on television are definitely in for a surprise and I hope they like my new avatar," Anasuya told. It was the film's lead actor Adivi Sesh, who approached her with the role. "About a year and a half ago, Sesh came to me with the role. I wasn't keen back then as I was busy hosting Devi Sri Prasad's concert in the US. Sesh met me again after I returned to India and this time made me read the script. I really liked my character," she said. "Kshanam", directed by debutant Ravikanth Perepu and produced by PVP Cinema, also stars Adah Sharma, Vennela Kishore and Satyam Rajesh in important roles. Transforming into the police officer had its share of challenges, admits Anasuya, popular for hosting "Jabardasth". "Right from my body language to the way I speak, hold a gun or stare and even the minutest of the expression had to be changed. This is a character with very minimal make-up and I've never faced a camera without make-up, yet I had to do it for the sake of the character," she said, and added that she's happy with the way her character has turned out. How did she prepare for her role? "Although I watched a few cop films, it was only to feel the intensity of the character. I avoided watching many films because I'm good at imitating and I didn't want to merely ape someone else on screen. I wanted to be me when I was playing the character," she said. Unlike "Mardaani" and "Jai Gangaajal", she plays a police officer who has the elegance of a woman but at the same time is authoritative. She also doesn't don khaki in the entire film. Ever since the first look of her character was released, she's been getting plenty of offers to play a police officer. "Out of the offers I've got so far, I'm considering one project. It's too early to comment but the story will revolve around me and the film will be produced a popular production house. Apart from that, I may also do a comedy-thriller," she said.
If hope dies, contact BIG BROTHER
"If hope dies, contact BIG BROTHER!" And no, this is not what Shilpa Shetty is saying post her win at the namesake show. It is actually the punch line of the film called BIG BROTHER that stars Sunny Deol in the title role. Playing a 'big brother' to many a men and women in trouble, Sunny Deol gets into his 'janta ka maseeha' role once again with BIG BROTHER after enacting such roles in half a dozen odd films in the 90s. With a tagline of "Every family has a hero", the film which was earlier titled 'Deodhar Gandhi', is being presented to the audience as an action drama that would appeal to youth and families alike. Directed by Guddu Dhanoa, the film stars Priyanka Chopra as the female lead.
