Murli Sharma, who is reputed for donning the bad roles on big screen, is to be seen in a comic role for the first time in the movie One, Two, Three. Murli will be seen a man crazily in love with Esha Deol. "I had an amazing time playing the nice, crazy guy for a change. Esha Deol is absolutely fun to work with. And the director Ashwani Dhir is an old friend. We go back to knowing each other right from our TV days." Interestingly the character in the movie also happens to be called Murli. Previously Murli was seen in a role by the same name in Apaharan. What's with the name game we wonder!
Ash all set to drive menfolks CRAZY!
She may have won the hearts with her sensitive performance in 'Umrao Jaan' but box office had some different plans for her as the film struggled to even take off well at the theatres. But Aishwarya Rai has still reasons to smile as 2 weeks down the line she would have another release in the form of 'Dhoom 2'. And doesn't she appear in a role that men folk always wanted her to be seen in? Hot leather pants, designer tops, a little skin show and loads of attitude - these factors are enough to drive the audience 'crazy' and this is what she intends to do through her hot'n'sizzling dance number 'Crazy Kiya Re'. Crooned by Sunidhi Chauhan, this Pritam composed number is one of the reasons why the album is still one of the top selling albums at the stands. Pleased with the response the makers have unleashed the number on the satellite channels. This is a first in this direction since all this while only the action promos were beamed at both the theatres and the small screen. Will this song turn out to be the 'Dhoom Machale' of the second edition of 'Dhoom'? Come November 24th and we should have the answers!
Crazy is happy
Crazy Mohan is thrilled at the prospects of his pet project Jerry gracing the theatres this weekend. Featuring Ramesh, Maadhu Balaji (crazy's brother), Mumtaz, Sruthy and Meera Vasudevan, the movie is directed by S B Kanthan (actor-diretor Mouli's brother). "Though I have worked with big names like Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth, working with a host of artistes from my Crazy Creations gives it a family feel", he says. Dwelling further on the movie, Crazy Mohan says, "It is my pet project. It has shaped out well and to my satisfaction. All credit to producer Viswanathan for keeping faith in our abilities. All the artistes have given their best and Maadhu Balaji should make a new beginning in filmdom." Quickly completing Jerry, Crazy Mohan is off to commence penning dialogues for Kamal Haasan's Dasavatharam.
Crazy Star Ravichandran Is Back With A Bang!
Although Ravichandran has kept himself busy over the last 24 months by taking up projects as an actor, Ravichandran the director was last seen in 2014, when he helmed Crazy Star. But the 54-year-old filmmaker-actor is back as a director with his upcoming film Apoorva, in which he plays a 61-year-old, who romances a 19-year-old girl. According to a report, the entire story of Apoorva unfolds inside an elevator, when the two central characters of the movie get stuck in it for two hours. "It is a film that is designed by Ravichandaran. It is written and directed by the mind, supported by situations and calculations and framed by the eyes," the Crazy Star has said when asked about the film. The Love You Alia actor has been working on the movie for a very long time. "After a long time I am happy to say that I am 110% satisfied with the way this film has turned out," he has said.
Crazy Star Ravichandran's Apoorva Cut Down By 20 Minutes!
Crazy Star V. Ravichandran's dream project Apoorva released to mixed responses, last Friday(May 27). Most of the cinegoers were of the opinion that the movie is very slow, this feedback impacted the collections of the movie in the weekend as well. Owing to the responses, the director and producer V. Ravichandran has trimmed the movie by 20 minutes. When the movie was censored a few months back, the duration was 139.52 minutes. Now the duration of the movie is close to two hours which is a reply to the fans/audiences complaining about the pace of the movie. Speaking to a leading publication on the occasion of his 55th birthday, Ravichandran has said that the English quotations shown at the start of the movie and a few unimportant scenes from the second half have been edited. He further said, there is a group which is working against him, creating negative buzz for the movie but he is not bothered about this, as the collections are good. He also stated that he was not happy with the movie being trimmed by 20 minutes but did it, respecting the views of cinegoers. The edited version was screened from yesterday(May 31) and team is hoping for a positive response. Apoorva which was released in over 150 theaters by Ravichandran's own banner Eshwari, through Jayanna Combines opened to fantastic response at box office despite mixed reviews. New girl Apoorva played the title role. Kiccha Sudeep and Kempegowda Ravishankar's cameos is one amongst the various factors liked by audiences. Vijay Raghavendra and Spandana Vijay have played their real life characters of a husband and wife, this being debut movie for Spandana Vijay. GSV Sitaram is the director of photography, Gautham Srivatsav has assisted Ravichandran in composing and background score apart from singing all the songs in the movie. Crazy Star apart from starring in the movie, is the director, producer, distributor, music composer, editor, art director and choreographer for this movie.
