More news →'Deepavali' in final touches
Final touches are being given for 'Deepavali' produced by Teegala Kripakara Reddy on the banner of Anna Adarana Art (AAA) Creations under the direction of Haribabu, with Venu and Megha Nair in the lead. Arthi Agarwal is playing a special role in this film. Producer says, 'We have completed the talkie part and recently canned the last song at Ramoji Film City to wrap up the shooting. A little bit of patch work remained pending for the completion of the shooting. At the same time, we are undertaking the post-production works simultaneously and they are also nearing completion. We will soon announce the release date.' Brahmanandam, Bhanuchander, Vinodkumar, Ali, Raghubabu, Chalapati Rao, Ali, Jeeva, Prabhu, Brahmaji, Satyaprakash, Gundu Hanumantha Rao, Sriharsha, Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao, Ananth, Hema, Sudha, Ramya and others are in the cast. Dialogues are by Diamond Ratnababu, camera is by Prasad K, art is by Mouli SV, editing is by Ramgopal Reddy, while music is by Ramana Ogeti.
'Deepavali' in post-production
Dubbing was completed recently and re-recording is in progress for 'Deepavali' directed by Haribabu and produced by Teegala Krupakar Reddy, with Venu and Megha Nair in the lead. Director says, 'An incident that occurred on the 'Deepavali' day is the base for the subject. Each scene would be quite thrilling and interesting.' Venu says, 'I am confident that the film would earn me good recognition.' Producer says, 'We are planning to launch the audio in the third week of June. We are making efforts to release the film in the second half of July.' Bhanuchander is playing a police officer, while Vinodkumar is playing the villain's role. Subbaraju, Satyaprakash, Brahmaji, Ali, Brahmanandam, Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao, Chalapati Rao, Sudha, Hema and others are in the cast.
'Deepavali' to release in mid August
The movie 'Deepavali' is gearing up for release in August and Venu features in the lead role. The movie is produced by Theegala Krupakar Reddy and the director is Haribabu. Meghana Nair is being introduced as heroine with this movie. Speaking about the movie, producer Krupakar Reddy, said that post-production work is going on currently and efforts are on for its release in the first half of August. He also added that the movie is mostly entertainment based, and that the story has many surprising twists. Vinod kumar, Subbah Raju, Satya Prakash, Brahmaji, Ali, Brahmanandam, Kondavalasa, Chalapati Rao, Sudha, Hema form the rest of the cast.
Deepavali as a treat
Director Ezhil began with a bang in Thullatha Manamum Thullum. He is now keen to bounce back with his Deepavali which stars Jeyam Ravi and Bhavana in lead roles. Thanking director Lingusamy for giving him the opportunity, Ezhil says, 'It is a story of mixed emotions. Action, romance and comedy are mixed well in this commercial entertainer. Young guns like Jeyam Ravi and Bhavana have given their best try'. On his part, Ravi said, 'I am a local guy who speaks the typical Madras language. A huge set put up by art director Selvakumar resembling Royapuram market is a major highlight of the movie. It is an interesting role for me, which I relish doing'. The rest of the cast includes Vijayakumar, V M C Haneefa and Vaiyapuri among others. Music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography by Vijay Milton. Deepavali would hit the screens early next year.
Deepavali releases - Rains no dampener
Chennaiites are happy now thanks to monsoon which set in early and brought with it showers. Last couple of days has seen good rains and wet roads everywhere. But the intermittent rains have not dampened the spirits of film-goers. Theatres continue to get good crowds for their Deepavali releases. Even on Monday, major theatres witnessed full houses. Movies including Varalaru, Vallavan and E have been witnessing good crowds. People have been thronging theatres in spite of heavy spell of rains. Says Anand, 'An avid film buff, since I knew that week-ends would be crowded, I chose to see Varalaru on Monday. But could see the same crowd on the working day too.' Same has been the case in several theatres. Packed houses, avid fans cheering their stars were a common sight even on Monday.
Deepavali in Pongal
Deepavali, the movie starring Jeyam Ravi and Bhavana will hit the screens for Pongal. Confirming its release, producer Lingusamy said, 'My maiden production venture will grace the theatres this Pongal'. Deepavali will be directed by Ezhil and music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. 'I was tense in my directorial venture (Anandham). Thanks to the experience, I am confident of tasting success as a producer. I know I can bank on a talented cast and crew.' Lingusamy was all praise of Ezhil. 'I was highly impressed of his screenplay in Thullatha Manamum Thullum. I am sure that he will repeat his magic.' Thanking Lingusamy for the opportunity, Ezhil, said, 'The story was conceived almost a year ago. I should thank Lingusamy for keeping faith in me and given me the opportunity to direct this movie'.
