When the members of Tamil film industry gathered in a huge number in Chennai for the hunger strike over the issue of Hoganekkal water project, a small unit went on fasting on the same day for the same cause in a different place. The unit of Tamizh Desam, which was shooting in Perambalur, decided to sit on fasting in the shooting spot itself. The cast and crew of the movie went on fasting in front of the Engineering Collage, where the shooting was being held. Everyone including Hero Raghuvannan (son of Manivannan), heroine Varshini alias Aadhira, and director Thamizh Selva raised slogans against Kannadigas in the hunger strike. The protest immediately attracted the attention of the local people and the local units of leading Tamil TV channels. The protest became a sensational one following the gathering of lot of people and the media persons.
'Desamuduru' cans song in Vizag
Canning of a song is in progress for 'Desamuduru' directed by versatile director Puri Jagannath and produced by Bhagawan and Danayya on the banner of Universal Media with Allu Arjun and Hansika Muthwal in the lead. The film unit is now in Vizag to choreograph a song in and around Vizag since December 18. Chakri provided tunes for this flick and the audio is likely to be released on December 24. This is the only film which is a youthful entertainer to be released during the Sankranthi season. The producers are making efforts to release the film on January 12.
'Desamuduru' in DTS mixing
Directed by Puri Jagannath and produced by DVV Danayya and Bhagawan on the banner of Universal Media 'Desamuduru' with Allu Arjun and Hansika Muthwal in the lead had completed its shooting recently. This youthful entertainer had tunes from Chakri and the audio which was released into the market is getting a tremendous response. How the hero won the love of a girl who was a sanyasin is the typical subject of the film. Presently DTS mixing work is in progress at Prasad Film Laboratories. The film is all set for release on January 12.
'Desamuduru' completes censor formalities
The first copy of 'Desamuduru' directed by sensational director Puri Jagannath and produced by Bhagawan and Danayya on the banner of Universal Media with Allu Arjun and Hansika Muthwal in the lead was ready and was submitted for censor certification. The Censor Board had given U/A certificate for the film which is slated for release on January 12. Allu Aravind is holding the distribution rights for East and West Godavari districts, while his associate 'Bunny' Vasu and Co holds rights for Guntur and Nellore regions. It may be mentioned here that Allu Arjun is playing a never before role in this film as a MAA TV reporter and the film has a love backdrop and was shot in Himachal Pradesh, wherein the heroine is a sanyasin. How the hero was able to trap her and won her love is the subject. The audio of the film was already released and remained a chart buster. The audiences, who were watching the promos on the small screen are sure that the film would be a definite hit.
'Desamuduru' to hit in 37 theatres in Hyderabad
The Allu Arjun-Hansika Muthwani starrer 'Desamuduru', directed by Puri Jagannath and produced by Bhagawan and Danayya on the banner of Universal Media is all set for release in 400 theatres across the state on January 12. Chakri provided audio for this film and is getting positive response. The producers are of the opinion that there will be repeat audiences for their film to watch the fantastic dances and performance of Allu Arjun. The film is getting released in 37 theatres in Hyderabad alone.
'Desamuduru' collects Rs 12 crore for first week
The Allu Arjun-Hansika Muthwani starrer 'Desamuduru' directed by Puri Jagannath and produced by Bhagawan and Danayya on the banner of Universal media was released on January 12 and proved a mega hit. The film is collecting huge amounts area-wise. The details of collections given by the producers are as follows.
