Devotional 'Sri Ramadasu' biggest Telugu draw

The devotional film "Sri Ramadasu" starring Nagarjuna is drawing huge crowds in theatres across the state. The top five Telugu films are: 1. "Sri Ramadasu" - Veteran director K. Raghavendra Rao shows how to hold the audiences with a gripping screenplay. M.M. Keeravani's music has enhanced the film's appeal manifold. 2. "Ranam" - Action hero Gopichand joins the big league with the film. Despite playing a light-hearted hero, in contrast to his intense roles, he has made the film a winner. 3. "Laxmi" - After comfortably crossing the 50-day mark, the film faces a challenge from new releases. Director Vinayak has made a contrived plot work at the box office. 4. "Ram" - Nitin's youth-oriented film has had a better opening than his previous releases. Hit pair Nitin and Genelia look good together. Besides entertaining the audience, director Shankar's film carries a message as well. 5. "Devadasu" - Filmmaker Y.V.S. Choudury's teenage romance is gradually improving its box-office performance. The film launched actress Illeana in a big way.

Devotional Arya

In his film, Arya might say 'Naan Kadavul' (I am the God). But in reality, he is a humble man who surrenders before God. He finds time for that even amidst tight schedules. Many would have known that young hero Arya is a Muslim and his original name is Shamsuddin. But not many would have known that he is so pious that he makes it a point to perform his daily prayers (5 times a day) without fail. Though he is acting as a Hindu god man in Bala's 'Naan Kadavul', he performs his prayer in the prescribed timings. Bala, on the other hand, is a man, who doesn't believe in God. But he respects Arya's sentiments and stops the shooting to facilitate him to do the worship.

Rajini’s devotional gift to Dhanush

We all know Dhanush is a director’s actor who doesn’t use the name of his legendary father-in-law to get his things done. At the same time he follows the advices of Rajini to the hilt. Dhanush can be spotted these days wearing a valuable ‘rudraksha’ mala. Sources say that was a gift from the super star to his son-in-law on his third wedding anniversary. Dhanush holds this special gift very close to his heart. He never removes it except doing while doing intimate scenes on camera for his films. That was the clear advice given by the super star and Dhanush religiously follows it. The ‘rudraksha’ was in fact given to Rajinikanth by Dayanandha Saraswathi and the super star gifted to his son-in-law later according to sources very close to the families.

Nag From Devotional To Horror

Unlike many young heroes, Nagarjuna is doing films at rapid pace and scoring consecutive hits. What's more, he is accepting different films off late. The actor is presently doing a devotional film Om Namo Venkatesaya under the direction of K Raghavendra Rao and he will now shift to horror mode. As we reported earlier, Nagarjuna has accepted to do a horror comedy film Raju Gari Gadhi 2 to be directed by Ohmkar and the sequel to 2015 hit film will be launched tomorrow in Hyderabad. It is heard that, Nagarjuna has given green signal for the project since he liked the first part and also script of the sequel. "Nagarjuna is keen on doing performance oriented films off late. He was really impressed with the way his characterization in Raju Gari Gadhi 2 has been designed, so has immediately nodded to star in it," informs a source. Prasad Vara Potluri will bankroll the project which will go on sets after Nagarjuna wrapping up Om Namo Venkatesaya. More details about the movie will be unveiled soon. - See more at: http://www.gulte.com/movienews/53854/Nag-From-Devotional-To-Horror#sthash.NMvLwQMx.dpuf

Jeevan: Devotion and superstition

Young hero Jeevan, who had studied in abroad, is quite religious and he doesn't hesitate making it public. You can always see the sacred ashes in his forehead. He has inherited this trait from his family, which is quite religious. He frequently visits to the temples like Kapaleeswarar Temple, Apparsamy Temple, and Saibaba Temple in Chennai. He has special devotion towards Kamakshi Amman, Vinayakar, and Perumal. The devotion, however, is mistaken by some in the industry. The gossipmongers have gone to the extent of saying that he seeks the horoscopes of the directors before accepting the project. 'It is disgusting to see that the devotion is associated with superstition', says Jeevan.
