Devashish, You got the right break

From working in Radio Mirchi 8.3 FM for three years to working with his father Pandit Suvashit Raj and R.J.Rahat on the show "Sun Taro Ki Dhun'and straight to the acting stage with a role in the famous serial 'Karishma Ka Karishma" Devashish Sargam has come a long way. When T-series signs up a new singer, isn't it proper to say that the new artist has almost reached the threshold of ultimate fame and glory that every new singer or actor dreams of. The music giant recently signed up Devashish Sargam to release his debut album 'Bewafa Yaar Tha' on its label. Bhushan Kumar and Ajay Kapoor of T-Series provided him the services of music director Nikhil of Nikhil/Vinay fame and renowned lyricists like Nusrat Badr, Prasant Vasl and Praveen Bhardwaj whose lyrics the new singer will give life to. This vocalist has music in his blood and at the tender age of 7 was initiated into the vast sea of rhythms, melody, ragas, swar and taal starting his training under his mother Smt. Shirpa Raj and later on with other music gurus. Devashish got a taste of team work and some lessons in acting too when the video for the song "Khat" was shot. The singer who is featured in the video has to get into the skins of different characters like a joker, a policeman, and even a drunkard. A professional coach was hired by T-Series to assist and give guidance to get the best out of Devashish while enacting the different roles. The singer's co stars Chandana and Rufy Khan also helped him a lot to give perfection to the video. The new singer also has been offered a song in a Bollywood film which is still in its pre-production stage. In the present time of media boom where singers are being introduced like never before, not just talent but loads of confidence and variety is also needed to make it big. Devashish Sargam, hope u have enough of originality and attitude to make it big.

Devagan On the thin needle of Life and Death

Not so pleasing was the horrendous scenario where he was wedged between. Known for carrying through the high-risked stunts with an ease, Ajay Devagan had to face an awful situation while shooting for one of his forthcoming action flick. It was a chasing sequence across the deep-watered sea where Ajay Devagan and other 4 stuntmen were performing a jet-ski chase. To add on more to the technical aspects with finesse, these sequences were shot with the camera adhered to a chopper for a perfect bird's angle view. Indeed, the chopper was very closer to the performer to capture the good shots. "Things were quite chilling, until the unexpected stormy weather started freezing our senses", expresses Ajay on his website who had providentially flew the coop from worst consequences. He continues adding, "The filming was as perfectly done initially with good cooperation of stuntmen as they were channelizing way to the destination of a rocky island Maya Bay. But, with few yards away, the weather started to change as the winds started taking their best stunts on us. The strong winds had hit everyone and of the course, the chopper was not an exception. As they were closer to us, we could feel the flogging winds the helicopter" says Ajay Devagan who wouldn't forget the bleakish adventure.

Ajay Devgan's Bhojpuri film well received

Actor Ajay Devgan has done several films so far but the opening of the film Dharti Kahe Pukar Ke, which also marks his debut in a Bhojpuri film albeit in a small role, is something he will never forget. Of course the reasons are good. The film opened in Mumbai at Navrang Cinema, Andheri. It unexpectedly got a very huge opening here. The crowd that turned up for the film was so huge that the police had to come into action to control the crowd. The crowd had assembled in huge numbers to watch the first show of Ajay Devgan's first Bhojpuri film Dharti kahe Pukar Ke. The film was released all over India with more than 13 prints in Mumbai alone. The 12 pm show witnessed such huge crowd that went simply uncontrollable after which the police had to lathi charge them to bring the situation under control. The co producer of the film Manoj Tiwari is quite happy with the unexpected response the film has got. A similar action was seen at Ajanta Theatre in Borivali. So it is good news for Bhojpuri cinema that its films have begun getting acceptance in a mega metro like Mumbai. Word is that Devgan did the film at no cost as a favor to its producer.

Ajay Devgan changes colors again

Trust Ajay Devgan to proves his versatility time and again. Last year in December he was seen in two diverse roles in a matter of weeks. While in 'Apaharan' he played a simpleton turned gangster, in 'Shikhar' he played a builder who wanted to be the BEST in the business. Now July will see him playing two diverse roles again in a matter of a fortnight as his Golmaal [July 14th] and Omkara [July 28] arrive. While in the former he plays a grown up youngster who chills out of three cool dudes Arshad Warsi, Tushar Kapoor and Sharman Joshi, in the latter he plays a rustic gang lord attached to his roots and love. Needless to say, the genre of the two films is completely different with 'Golmaal' being a comedy belonging to the fantasy world while 'Omkara' being rooted to reality and belonging to drama/tragedy genre!

"Devadasu" is 100 Days old

Y.V.S. Chowdary's film "Devadasu" has successfully completed 100 days. On this occasion a press conference was organized and Y.V.S. Chowdhary, the Producer and Director of the film spoke about the film. "I am very happy that this film besides tough competition from many big films has completed 100 days. This is a very risky project having no star cast and totally dependent on the story line-up and songs. I believe that the story, music and other technical aspects are the foundation for a film and audience have proved this once again. Initially, the film got good response but subsequently due to release of some good films, collections have come down. As it got all the essentials of a good film, it stood stubborn and completed 100 days. I thank the audience for their belief that my films will be entertaining and that is the main reason for this success. We are planning to organize the centenary celebrations in a big way as it is like a festival to the unit members."
