Jeyam Ravi's next venture has made people get up from their seats with eager eyes! The film would be directed by Jananathan of 'Iyarkai' fame. Sources say, that the film's title was previously 'Vetrikondaan'and then has been titled as 'Paeranmai' Plans are on to cast five prominent actresses in the movie. Shooting is to take place in Thekkadi and Chalakkudi. Jananathan is to also shoot the film in south Srilanka at Nuwara Elia as this film is set in a forest and its surroundings! Shoot for the film is expected to start early next year. 'Dham Dhoom' which featuring Kangana Ranawat opposite Ravi and 'Santosh Subramani' which is a remake of Telugu hit 'Bommarillu', featuring Genelia opposite Ravi are the current projects of Jeyam Ravi.
Bitten by foreign bug
The latest trend in Kollywood is to shoot movies abroad. The producers and directors hitherto shot a couple of song sequences abroad. But much recently they are bitten by the foreign bug and shooting a major sequences there. Kamal Haasan's Dasavatharam has been shot extensively in USA, Unnale Unnale was canned in Melbourne, Australia, Shaam starrer Thoondil is being shot throughout in London. The cast and crew of Vegam starring S Ve Shekher's son Ashwin Shekher in lead role have been to Malaysia to shoot the film. Buzz is that Vikram's Kandasaamy would be shot in Kenya and Tanzania. Director Jeeva is currently busy with Dhaam Dhoom which Jeyam Ravi and Kangana Ranaut in prominent roles. A major portion of Dham Dhoom will occur in Russia. Sources in the producer's council say it is cost effective to shoot in abroad. More over, obtaining permission to shoot in Tamilnadu from the authorities concerned is a difficult task and the disturbances from the fans do not arise.
Unnalae Unnalae ready to weave romantic web
Cinematographer-director Jeeva has completed shooting for his Unnale Unnale and is all geared up to release the movie this February. The movie featuring newcomer Vinay also features Sadha and Bollywood actress Kajol's sister Tanisha in the lead cast. Says Jeeva, 'The post-production works are getting over. The major highlight of the movie would be the dubbing voice for Tanisha. I tried several voices for her. Unfortunately nothing worked out as I had expected. Finally I happened to hear playback singer Chinmayee's song from an album. Immediately impressed, I urged her to dub for Tanisha.' Already the songs of Unnale Unnale, set to tunes by Harris Jayaraj, are popular among the music-lovers. Close on the release of Unnalae Unnalae, Jeeva will commence work for his next Dham Dhoom featuring Jeyam Ravi as hero.
