Munish Makhija, Pooja Bhatt's husband and ex-VJ, would have a part to play in soon to be released DHOKHA. Though the film revolves around the characters of Tulip Joshi and newcomer Muzammil Ibrahim, it also has heavy wight supporting characters like Anupam Kher, Gulshan Grover and Ashutosh Rana. In addition, the film also stars Munish Makhija who has faced the camera for the big screen earlier too. Incidentally both his earlier films, PAAP and ROG, were Pooja Bhatts productions as well. Also notable is the fact that in each of the two films, he played a cop. Come August 17 and it will be seen if DHOKHA features him as a cop third time around!
Shagufta Rafique - Bhatts' regular writer continues with DHOKHA
After WOH LAMHE and AWARAPAN, 42 year old Shagufta Rafique has penned the screenplay for Bhatts' upcoming film DHOKHA. A regular with Vishesh Films now, Shagufta Rafique started off her career as an assistant to Mahesh Bhatt around 14 years back. But not many know that in her personal life, Shagufta has seen the worst since she had to work in beer bars of Mumbai and Dubai for survival. As a bar singer, she earned her living for a few years before she decided to get into Bollywood again. This is when she met Mahesh Bhatt and ideas were exchanged. Results were there for everyone to be seen as she bagged not less than 3 projects with the production house. Her work in WOH LAMHE was much appreciated for it's sensitive handling while AWARAPAN too received accolades from all due to it's taut thriller appeal. With DHOKHA, Shagufta gets into the zone of intrigue, suspense and betrayal once again and one expects yet another quality work from the talented writer.
Neha, Katrina, Preity and Sikandar get hot on 'Dhokha'
The stars of 'Woodstock Villa', Sikandar Kher, Neha Uberoi, Shibani Kashyap, Aryans and Anchal, rocked the stadium at Bangalore for the T20 IPL Match between Royal Challengers & Kings 11 Punjab on Monday. Neha Uberoi kick started with the world class cheerleaders of Royal Challengers on the 'Dhoka' song. The crowds lapped up the performance and joined with the chorus line 'Dhokha'. It was an interesting performance to see the cheerleaders match step with Neha Uberoi live on a Bollywood number 'Dhokha' for the first time. Sikandar Kher, then made a starry entry, which had the girls raving about the handsome hunk, who will be making a spectacular debut with this film. The singers of Woodstock Villa, Aryans, Shibani Kashyap, and Anchal took over as the stadium rocked with their chartbusting numbers. The visit of the celebrities to the Bangalore IPL was to promote the film 'Woodstock Villa', as a synergy with cricket and entertainment which was a resounding success. Sikandar Kher and Neha Uberoi then joined Katrina Kaif and Preity Zinta, as they cheered their respective teams.
