'Dil Se Pooch' ' is a tale of relationships of people who keep their faith in life and innocence intact despite being torn apart by circumstances and events that happen around them. 'Dil Se Pooch'' is a movie that deals with the fundamental question of whether an individual creates a society or society moulds an individual. This story deals with a series of violent events, which happened during the early nineties and changed the course of many lives. Among these lives are the protagonists Avinash and Aliya who were separated during this period and meet after a gap of few years only to find each other as a police officer and a prostitute, in a situation where one has to deal with the system and other has to deal with oneself. The movie is all about the difficulties Avinash and Aliya face in leading their lives and how they get along with it. 'Dil Se Pooch'' is the story about their journey. The film, directed by debutant director Shrirang Ramchandra Dhawale, a National School Drama product and a National Award winner for Marathi film Pudcha Paol is set against socio-political scenario in Mumbai from 1993 to 2005. Talking about the film, Shrirang said, 'It is a relationship-oriented film with the lot of socio-political under current. It is about how people get shattered by socio-political events around them even though they may have nothing to do with them (the events) The underlying essence of the film being that the country has a life laced with events that affect the political and social fabric of the country and parallel to that are the lives of the individuals living in that nation.''
Rajpal's 'dil' searches for a 'til'
Talking of bizarre plots for a film, can anything be more bizarre than this? In his upcoming film 'Ladies Tailor', Rajpal Yadav plays the character of a small town simpleton who is informed by a 'jyotishi' that he would be marrying a girl who has a 'til' [mole] on her lap!!! Now if this was for one of the comic sequences of the film then it would still have been understandable! But a complete film revolving around this? Yes, that's true! And as soon as Yadav comes to know about it, his search for such a female starts immediately! From this point on you know what to expect on screen as scenes unfold one after another. Directed by R Udaykanth, the film stars Kim Sharma as a saree clad female lead opposite Rajpal Yadav. Others in the starcast are Mukesh Rishi, Shahbaaz Khan, Manoj Pahwa and Razzak Khan.
Sukhwinder Singh - Says it again 'Dil Se'
After crooning away to glory with 'Chaiyya Chaiyya' in 'Dil Se' around a decade back, Sukhwinder Singh is all geared to do it again, this time all for himself. A few days from now and Sukhwinder Singh's latest non-film album 'Is Dil Se' will hit the stands. The album has some of his choicest original songs rendered by him with lyrics by Sameer. Arriving on T-Series, the album boasts of an up market look throughout and appears to be a compilation of songs belonging to varied genres. One hopes that this album carries as much punch as hit album 'Nasha Hi Nasha Hai' that arrived 6 years back and created a big sensation with its title track. On Bollywood front too Sukhwinder has been having a great time with his superhit title track of 'Omkara' still being widely popular. Earlier this year he had a hit 'Ankhiyon Se Gal Kar Gayi' [Shaadi Se Pehle]. His title song of 'Apna Sapna Money Money' has picked up in a big way too and has managed to bring the film into limelight. Another title song that he has sung but has sadly been widely ignored is for Jimmy Shergill starrer 'Rehguzar'. Since the film has been revived and is being readied for release, one hopes that the song too would get its due. One especially feels sad for 'Jeena Te Pyaar' from 'American Blend'. The song had merely picked up before the film's aborted run at the box office took away whatever prospects the song carried with it. Also not many are aware that even on Hollywood front too, Sukhwinder has become quite a popular name, courtesy the song 'Chaiyya Chaiyya'. The number has been used as it is with due credits given in this year's release 'Inside Man' [Denzel Washington, Clive Owen, Jodie Foster]. The song makes a stunning impact as it appears in full length during the opening and the end credit rolls and has been strategically placed in the visuals.
with love... Sukhwinder's 'Dil Se'
The Chaiyya-Chaiyya guy is back with love through his latest album 'Is Dil Se : love never dies'. He has the soulful voice, the creativity and a unique style of his own. But who's he? He's the one who has been engaged in giving superhits one by another. Any guesses Ok! Ok! One more hint.. Recently he bagged the prestigious Bollywood Music Award at Atlantic City, New York for title song of 'Omkara'. He's none other than the stylish munda of Bollywood and Indi-pop industry Sukhwinder Singh. He was in town recently for the launch of his latest album 'Is Dil Se : love never dies' released by T-Series at a function held at five star hotel Le Meridien. On the occasion along with Sukhwinder, Ekta Mission's President Pawan Monga, Event & Art Promoter Sanjay Malik, reporters from printer and electronic media were also present there. Although like others Sukhwinder also struggled a lot to taste the success but once he gets it, he never looked back again and today achieves the place of his own. All the credit goes to A.R. Rehman and Maniratnam who provided him the opportunity in Dil Se to sing 'Chaiyya Chaiyya' for which he also bagged the Film Fare award of best singer. For Sukhwinder, the success was like 'hungry lion tastes the blood'. Today he has to his credit songs like 'Chaiyya Chaiyya, Hai Hai Mirchi, Tu Mujhe Choo Le, Kambakht Ishq, Naach Meri Jaan, Nasha Hi Nasha, Aaj Mera Ji Karda, Omkara' to name a few. Most of the songs sung by Sukhwinder make audiences danced to his tunes. On this occasion Sukhwinder said, 'Is Dil Se' has eight tracks which has been penned by Sameer. According to Sukhwinder, this album is the first ever in the history of Indian Music Industry to have eight tracks of different mood and situations. The album has got the subject on Romantic Story. The best part of the album is the choice of original songs handpicked and compiled by me that belongs to varied genres and this is the one specialty of this album which makes it different from regular pop albums. He further added that today viewers also want to watch the video and keeping in mind the same they have made the video of title song which is being aired on different channels. Other than 'Is Dil Se : love never dies', once again he and Sukhwinder gets together with A.R. Rehman for Oscar nominated 'Water', play written by Shekhar Kapoor and produced & directed by Andrew Loyed entitled 'Bombay Dreams' & Hollywood project 'Inside Man'. In his forthcoming projects 'Rehguzar, Kaafila, Ek Dastak' and many others are lined up.

Ranveer missed Bhansali on 'Dil Dhadakne Do' sets
Every day was like a party on the sets of Zoya Akhtar's "Dil Dhadakne Do", but by the end of it, actor Ranveer Singh craved for some "Bhansali action". "Dil Dhadakne Do" is about a dysfunctional family's cruise trip, and the entire film shoot was a sort of a picnic for the star cast. Ranveer is happy to have worked in Zoya's style of cinema, which more of "slice of life" and entertaining, but it didn't give him the opportunity "to scream, to sweat, to lose out voice and all" -- making him miss his "Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela" and "Bajirao Mastani" director. "By the end of Zoya's film, I was like 'I need to go to Bhansali' because acting in her (Zoya Akhtar) film is so casual and candid. You are sitting on the sofa and talking... sitting in the bar and talking... if we are walking, then also we are having conversation," Ranveer said here in an interview. "So it is a very candid and casual. During the shoot, I had jokingly said to PC (Priyanka Chopra) that 'I can't resist myself. I have to go to Bhansali. I want to shout out, do action stuff, do aggressive scenes and cry"... and this is not in Zoya's films," Ranveer, who did intense scenes in Bhansali's "Goliyon Ki Raasleela - Ram Leela", said. While in Zoya's film Ranveer plays a rich and classy urban guy, in Bhansali's "Bajirao Mastani", he will be seen as Maratha warrior Peshwa Bajirao and will also pull off some intense scenes and action. However, Ranveer is happy to work with the two directors "who are poles apart with different styles of acting and filmmaking". "Dil Dhadakne Do" is slated to release on June 5.
