'Bommarillu', the debut venture of Bhaskar with Siddharth and Genelia in the lead produced by Dil Raju on the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations with a delicate storyline on the relationship between a father and a son, became a tremendous hit and completed 100 days in 51 centres. The film is also getting ready to celebrate the 100-days function in Australia and Dubai. Again, one more film is going to come up in the combination of producer Dil Raju and director Bhaskar and the story discussions are in progress. A popular hero will play hero in this film. However, the film would go to sets after the completion of 'Munna', being produced by Dil Raju.
Dil Raju thanks Prakash Raj, Sunil, Devi Sri Prasad
The 100-days function of 'Bommarillu', directed by Bhaskar and produced by Dil Raju on the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations, with Devi Sri Prasad giving melodious music and with Siddhartha and Genelia in the lead, was celebrated at Melbourne and Sydney of Australia and in Dubai under the aegis of ATMD Company. After successful completion of these functions at respective places, Dil Raju met the film journalists to share his experiences. He says, 'There is nothing to hide in this and everyone knows that 'Bommarillu' was a massive hit. The ATMD, Rajesh & Co., Babu & Co., had organised these functions at Dubai and Australia. However, our hero Siddharth could not participate in those functions due to unavoidable circumstances. When we felt bad for holding the functions in the absence of our hero, it is Prakash Raj, Devi Sri Prasad and Sunil stood by me and made the programmes a success. I thank them in this regard. We will hold the 100-days function here also, at the availability of our chief guests in view.'
Dil Rajus bold gamble
With the cricket season and exam fever set to have an impact on film watching, some major releases may get delayed. Of course, it takes supreme confidence and extreme courage to get the movies out into the theatres at such a time. Dil Raju seems to be a man of such immense courage. He is making bold to get his Munna released some time in the middle of March. It shows his faith in the film and the way it has shaped up. Munna is said to be a powerful action-packed entertainer with Prabhas in the lead. Industry men are talking in awed tones about the action sequences that Prabhas has done. It is all high-octane, says one sources of the Hollywood-style action sequences. The music of Harris Jayaraj is also being talked of highly. Vamsi Paidipalli is directing the movie. Dil Raju has always found success in summer. This season too, the sun of success is likely to shine on him.
Dil Raju to distribute 'Aata' for Nizam area
Directed by VN Aditya and produced by MS Raju on the banner of Sumanth Art Productions, 'Aata' with Siddhartha and Ileana in the lead is all set for release soon. Devisri Prasad is giving tunes for the movie. The audio was launched into the market recently through Aditya Audio and Maruthi Audio and evoked a very good response. The producer is releasing the film on May 9 after completing all the shooting and post-production formalities. Meanwhile, the distribution rights for the film for Nizam area were bagged by 'Dil' Raju, and the film would be distributed through Sri Venkateswara Creations. Dil Raju is known for taking careful steps while selecting a story and watching its movements for all the films he had produced so far and achieved successive hits. Bagging rights of 'Aata' by Dil Raju earned more craze to the film and it received hit talk due to Dil Raju's interest towards the film. At one stage, Dil Raju says, 'As a producer, I am inspired at MS Raju's films. I always thought of making films on the lines of MS Raju. I am very happy for securing the distribution rights for MS Raju's film.'
Dil Raju presents 'Sri Venkatesam' audio album
A collection of devotional songs on Tirumala Tirupati Sri Venkateswara Swamy are being compiled in the form of an audio album. Veenapani is providing melodious tunes to the devotional songs and the audiocassette would be released soon with a title 'Sri Venkatesam'. The speciality of the audio album is that Narasimha Reddy, a relative of Dil Raju had scripted those songs, after he continuously visited the Lord of Seven Hills for three consecutive years. Dil Raju says, 'The songs consist of Narasimha Reddy's feelings during the visit to Tirumala, besides various pujas and sevas being offered to the Lord. The album consists of eight songs and the audiocassette would be released through the hands of Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy at a function to be held at Harihara Kalabhavan in Hyderabad on September 16.'
Dil Raju saved self from cheating
There was an attempt to swindle amount of Rs 50000/- from the popular producer Dil Raju through imitating voice of his close relative over the Telephone. The cheaters provided a bank account number to deposit the amount. Getting suspicious over the request Dil Raju, obtained the details about the caller(s) and reported the matter to Banjara Hills police on Monday through his staff.
