Kuhu Kuhu ' Part III Kannada Karaoke of Dr.P.B.Srinivas songs was released by Dr.PBS recently. This Karaoke CD consists of eight mellifluous songs of PBS sung by other singers and it also includes the instrument tunes for learners. The advantage of Karaoke is that there is good opportunity for budding singers to match their singing in between the tunes. There are eight instrument tunes and eight songs sung by budding singers. Singers like Srinath Bharadwaj, JyothiRaviprakash, R.Mahender and Subbulakshmi Chinnappa have lent their voice. The popular songs like Olavina Priyalathe'., Belli Modadha Anchinda'., Thutiya Mele Thunta Kirunage'., Neerinalli Aleya Ungura'., Ninadhe Nenapu Dinavu Manadalli', Endu Ninna Noduve'., Naane Veene', Badi Hodha Balliyinda'., from the films Kulavadhu, Bellimoda, Mana Mechchida Madadhi, Bedi Bandhavalu, Raja Nanna Raja, Eradu Kanasu, badhuva Dhari, Eradu Kanasu respectively are for the film music lover are in this CD. Sadhana studio, Bangalore has recorded this CD. The price of CD is Rs.75. This is the third karaoke style CD brought out by Gururaj of 'Kuhu Kuhu'.
Dr.Vishnu in '73 Shanthinivasa'
Kannada superstar Dr.Vishnuvardhana is playing a guest role in the last scene of actor cum director Sudeep's second directorial venture 'No.73 Shanthinivasa'. It is in this film of Sudeep hat trick hero superstar Shivarajkumar is appearing in a dance number in the beginning of the film. 'No.73 Shanthinavasa' is the home banner of actor cum director Sudeep. Sudeep in fact wanted to direct a film 'Appa Maga' starring himself and Dr.Vishnuvardhana but that is in clod storage. It has been multi star attraction in Kannada cinema today with newcomers making very good progress on the one side. Sudeep has acted in Dr.Vishnuvardhana and Suhasini starring 'Mathad Mathadu Mallige' that is slated for release in the month of May. Darshan and Upendra are teamed up in 'Hari Hara' a remake of 'Pitamagan', Darshan and Aditya are in 'Snehana Preethina', Dr.Vishnuvardhana and Aditya in 'Kshana Kshana', Darshan played guest role in his home banner film 'Jothe Jotheyalli' starring Prem and Ramya, Upendra and Shivarajkumar teamed up in 'Lav Kusha', Ravichandran and Jaggesh are in 'Tata Birla', and some more are in the offing.
Dr.Raj remembered
The immensely popular icon of Kannada cinema Dr.Rajkumar was remembered all over the Karnataka state on 12th of April on his first death anniversary. Fitting tribute was paid to the icon in Bangalore. Hectic activity with tight police security in Bangalore started early morning of 12 th April. People thronged the Samadhi of Dr.Rajkumar at Kanteerava studios from various parts of Karnataka like Hubli, Dharwad, Gulbarga, Mangalore, Raichur, Mandya, Mysore and other districts. The film industry attendance was seen at the Samadhi and at the residence of Dr.Rajkumar in the afternoon. The huge family of Dr.Rajkumar visited the Samadhi at 10 am. Smt.Parvathamma Rajkumar broke down in tears at the Samadhi place. The floral decoration was very colorful at the Samadhi and its surroundings. Here we give you what are the other activities that took place on the first death anniversary of Dr.Rajkumar. * Dr.Rajkumar family members headed by Smt.Parvathamma Rajkumar met the media in the afternoon and set a deadline till 24 th for government to finalize on the work at Samadhi. Smt.Parvathamma Rajkumar has given seven points memorandum to government of Karnataka on what should be done at the Samadhi. * Karnataka chief minister H.D.Kumaraswamy has declared that there will not be any further delay in setting up the requirements at Samadhi. * The eldest son of Dr.Rajkumar ' Shivarajkumar confirmed the formation of Dr.Rajkumar Trust. The youngest son Puneeth Rajkumar said he has completed 40 percent of the writing of the book on his father Dr.Rajkumar. Raghavendra Rajkumar the second son of the icon wondered why the government has not taken right steps quickly on the conversion of Samadhi as memorial. * Nearly 2000 persons signed the papers for donating their eyes after death. It may be recalled that Dr.Rajkumar donated his eyes after death. * The Karnataka film industry was present at the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce at 10 am to remember Dr.Rajkumar. * Mass feeding was held at Kanteerava studios where the Samadhi of Dr.Rajkumar is situated. * The guests, industry friends, media and others were given good hospitality at Dr.Rajkumar residence in Sadashivanagar. * 'Kannada Kanmini' book written by Nandini Basavaraj was released by Smt.Parvathamma Rajkumar. * Hundreds of businessmen had a very good business in and around the Samadhi place. * 13000 civil policemen, 30 KSRP troupe, 2 Company RAF, 35 troupe CAR police personnel were pressed in to action for security arrangements.
Dr.Raj statue at KG Road

Karnataka Chief Minister H.D.Kumaraswamy unveils the statue of Dr.Rajkumar in the presence of entire Smt.Parvathamma Rajkumar and sons of Rajkumar. In the morning Ms Hema Prasad render the old hits selected from Dr.Rajkumar films and in the evening the light music by blind students is arranged says Sa.Ra.Govindu. The corporation of Bangalore City has given the permission for the installation of statue within a short period says Sa.Ra.Govindu who is also a famous producer and Vice President of KFCC.
Dr.Vishnu couple in guest role
The Kannada film 'Gnanajyothi Sri Siddaganga' that has a history of 700 years has a very special appearance of Dr.Vishnuvardhana, Bharathi Vishnuvardhana and actor Anirudh in an important religious activity scene. For the century old Sri Shivakumar Swamiji who is the pillar of 'Siddaganga Math' a 'Pada Pooja' celebration was held recently by Dr.Vishnu couple that is a part of the film produced by Mahanthappa and directed by Omkar B.A. 'I am really blessed in doing this sacred 'Pada Pooja' to Sri Shivakumara Swamiji' said Dr.Vishnuvardahana couple. On this occasion producer Mahanthappa gifted a car to director Omkar B.A. This is because the director completed the entire shooting in just 35 days. Omkar besides directing this film has also written the story, screenplay and lyrics for the film. PKH Das is the cameraman, G.murthy has scored the music. Sridhar, Thara, Srinivasamurthy, Vinayaprakash, Chetan, Shivadwaj, Ramesh bhat, Govinda Rao, Suchendra Prasad are also in the cast.
Dr. Raj sons in 'Om'
The Pyramid Saimira Group has made a prestigious catch. The three sons of icon of Kannada cinema Dr. Rajakumar ' Shivarajakumar, Raghavendra Rajakumar and Puneeth Rajakumar are teamed for the first time in an off beat film for the direction of Ravi Srivatsa. The film is titled as 'Om'. The similar title film was made by Dr.Rajakumar family banner in 1995 that was starring Shivarajakumar and Prema in the director of Upendra. That was a big blockbuster and it made the 'Omkara' for series of underworld subjects on Kannada screen. Now this 'Om' is entirely different. Only the thread of the story is ready says Raghavendra Rajakumar speaking on behalf of his brothers. The announcement to this effect was made by Pyramid group managing director P.S.Swaminathan at The West End Hotel in Bangalore on last Saturday. This one is Rs.8 crore mega productions going on the floor on the April 24th 2008 ' the birth anniversary of Dr.Rajakumar says Swaminathan. Pyramid group that has ventured to theatre revolution in Karnataka an exercising control on 123 theatres forayed in to film production from 'Avva' in the direction of Kavitha Lankesh. The company has also signed top stars like Darshan, Vijay in the forthcoming ventures. It has also taken up distribution of a few films. The films like 'Naanu Neenu Jodi' starring Vijay Raghavendra and Madhumitha, 'Nee Tata Na Birla' starring V.Ravichandran and Jaggesh with five heroines, Ganesha Maththe Bandha' starring Vijaya Raghavendra, Pragna, Vishal Hegde, Neethu and 'Minchina Ota' starring Vijaya Raghavendra, Murali, Lakshmi Rai. The script of the film 'Om' would be ready in three months time says Ravi Srivatsa. It is on the sets of his 'Madesha' film shooting he discussed the thread with Shivarajkumar. Immediately Shivarajkumar spoke to Raghavendra Rajakumar on the story line and then the tie up was made. I am going in for a different style of movie making from 'Om'. I am inspired from Ramgopal Verma films and you would not see the usual pattern says confident Ravi Srivatsa.
