'Ek Chalis Ki Last Local' director ties the knot

Sanjay Khanduri, director of 'Ek Chalis Ki Last Local', got married in a small yet exquisite event in New Delhi this 21st November. The girl's name is Prabhmit who is fondly called Ashu by her friends and family. She is an Electronics Engineer and works with one of the leading MNCs in Delhi NCR. The marriage was first done in Gurudwara and later in a temple. For the reception, held again in Delhi, the newly married couple came down from a swanky white S class Mercedes. On questioned about the marriage, Sanjay said, "It's more of an arranged marriage as both our families knew each other from a long time. I wanted marriage to be a quite and a personal affair, so very few selected people were invited." Well, it's good that you have caught your life's 'local' Mr Khanduri. Our wishes are with you!

'Ek Police' shooting nearing completion

Shooting of 'Ek Police' directed by Kodi Ramakrishna and produced by NH Bhaskara Reddy and MV Krishna Prasad with Nagababu playing the lead role and Lakshana playing the female lead would be completed by July 10. Producers say, 'Nagababu is playing the role of a sincere police officer who works for the welfare of people. What kind of challenges he faced and what kind of decision he has taken was the subject. We are making efforts to release the film in August.' Director says, 'It is the police who would be among those who look for the welfare of people. If the sincere police officials given a day's time with complete freedom, they could bring in a peaceful society. This is the theme behind our movie.' Vijay Samrat, Bhushan, Surya Charan, Dheeraj, Lakshana and Gayatri Rao are in the lead, while Ali, Pruthvi, Satya Prakash, Dr Siva Prasad, Ashokkumar, Sudarshan, Visweswara Rao, Kanumuri, Siva Subrahmanyam, Sadanand, Aravind, Koti, Ravi Acharya and others are in the cast. Story is by Vallabhaneni Janardhan, dialogues are by Swamiji-Vijay, music is by Koti, while Baby Rushya Reddy is the presenter of the film.

'Ek Police' audio launch on September 10

The audio release of the film 'Ek police' starring Nagababu as the hero, directed by Kodi Ramakrishna is planned to be released on Sep. 10th. The production work is done by N.H. Bhaskar Reddy on the banner of 'N.H. Dushhya Productions'. The music is composed by Koti who is currently working on the re-recording for the movie. Producer N.H. Bhaskar Reddy is making efforts to release the audio on 10th of September and the movie on 1st of October. Speaking on this occasion the director Kodi Ramakrishna said, "Unlike my earlier movies which was based upon police themes, this film is made with a unique treatment and it tends to disclose the shortfalls in the system. Further, we are not going to feature any satire over the current present politics in this film. However, we are focusing our attention to narrate the main shortfalls in the system and present a few solutions for them. This film is not made for any political party, but for the people in general." "Koti is presently working on the re-recording work for the movie.The audio will be released on 10th September and utmost effort is being implied to release the film on 1st of October. We will make it happen at any cost." said the producer N.H.Bhaskar Reddy.

‘Ek Tha Tiger’ to release 1 June, 2012

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ under the direction of Kabir Khan has got a release date. YRF today announced that the film will be releasing June 1 next year. The film on the lines of a romantic thriller will see Salman Khan playing a character based on a real life. EK Tha Tiger filming will be taking place in international locations and as a part of this process the unit will move to Iraq next month to shoot action sequences for a period of eight days. Aditya Chopra has penned the script while screenplay & dialogues have been written by Kabir Khan and Neelesh Misra. Aseem Mishra, who handled photography of New York, will also handle Ek Tha Tiger. Pritam is given the mantle of scoring the music. This is the first film of Salman Khan with YRF considering his career which spanned more than two decades.

Ek Villain mints over Rs.16 crore on opening day

Mohit Suri’s "Ek Villain” saw an “awesome” opening day when it hit around 2539 screens in India Friday. The romantic thriller that stars Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh and Shraddha Kapoor, has earned well on the first day. “#EkVillain Fri (Rs.) 16.72 cr nett [2539 screens]. India biz. Second highest opener of 2014. In terms of screen average, it's HIGHEST. AWESOME!” tweeted trade analyst Taran Adarsh. The movie has been produced by Ekta Kapoor under the banner of her production house Balaji Motion Pictures. Ek Villain hits a jackpot, Shraddha Kapoor relieved

"Ek Villain" success soared up and crossed Rs.100 crore mark at the box office and brought a sigh of relief to the film's leading lady Shraddha Kapoor. Released June 27, "EK Villain", which came out of producer Ekta Kapoor's stable, crossed Rs.100 crore mark at the box office. If people liked Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha as the lead pair, they equally appreciated Riteish Deshmukh in his villainous avatar. "As an actress, it's extremely relieving to receive positive response from the audience," Shraddha, whose last film "Aashiqui 2" was a blockbuster too, told IANS. "The film has done really well at the box office, which gives you a lot of confidence to do more films. I have been celebrating the success of the film from day one when it opened well at the box office. I am feeling extremely relieved," she added. Interestingly, director Mohit Suri helmed both “EK Villain” and “Aashiqui 2”. "I am fortunate enough to have got an opportunity to work with Mohit. Mohit is a dear friend and he is a gem of a person. It's always a pleasure to work with him because he has a clarity on whatever he is doing," said the actress.
