Kavya Madhavan says that her life experiences have taught her a lot and that she has now become more mature and understanding. She says that she understood the real nature of friendship during her days of struggle. She recalls that she had lost a lot many friends when she came back after her divorce. Later, the allegations of her relationship with Dileep had also affected her friendships in the industry. The actress says that it was her family who stood by her in her times of trouble. her parents and her brother and sister-in-law had lend her rock solid support in everything.
Friendship between Dhanush and Bhoopathy
Dhanush and director Bhoopathy Pandian share a deep and unique friendship. So much so that the friendship is unlikely to be affected despite a tussle between the director and Dhanush's father Kasthoori Raja. Here is a small flashback to give you an idea of what had caused the trouble. Kasthoori Raja has recently sold the Telugu remake rights of Dhanush starrer 'Thiruvilaiyadal Arambam', directed by Bhoopathy. It is said that he hasn't given any share to the director by selling the remake rights. Bhoopathy worked in the film on mutual faith without entering into any agreement. Now the director has filled a complaint against Dhanush's father Kasthoori Raja in the producers' council. He has sought the council to enable him to get his share (40 percent). Now the council is conducting a trial with both the parties. The case, Bhoopathy says, will not affect his friendship with Dhanush. 'It will continue irrespective of the result of my complaint', says the director. Dhanush, it is said, wants to act again in Bhoopathy's movie. It was Bhoopathy who gave him hits like 'Thiruvilaiyadal Arambam' and 'Devathaiyai Kanden'. Bhoopathy too is willing to make another film with Dhanush. The two friends have admirably chosen to look beyond the tussle over the financial issues.
For Friendship, Action speaks more than words
All the lovers of Hindi films will be remembering the film 'Ghulam' for four reasons. One is just because the film had Aamir Khan as the leading man presenting an excellent performance in the role of a typical Mumbai guy seeking revenge from the villain who killed his beloved brother. The second one is because the movie catapulted the talented actress named Rani Mukherjee as the new girl to watch out for. The third reason is that the film had a song titled 'Aati Kya Khandala' which is still remembered. The last one is that 'Ghulam' was the directorial debut of Vikram Bhatt who is still very much active sincerely working on stories that he believes in. The film maker will have only one reason other than his first movie being a super duper hit to fondly remember the time during the late 1990's when the movie was made. It was during the making of 'Ghulam' that Vikram Bhatt's friendship with Mr.Perfectionist started. Vikram had known Aamir long before 'Ghulam' happened as he had worked as an assistant director for some films in which Aamir was the hero. During the making of 'Ghulam' they came to know each other more. The relationship became stronger and has grown as the years passed. A good example of comfort level Aamir shares with Vikarm can be understood when 'Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na' will be released. A 40 second promotional video of the new movie titled as '1920' is attached with Aamir's third home production. This film is Vikarm Bhatt's dream project and when he requested Aamir if the promos of '1920' could be shown with Imraan Khan's debut film, Aamir without asking any further questions readily gave a positive answer to Vikram. A movie will certainly turn out to be a good one and the audiences will be able to see the level of comfort of the actor in his performance when a film maker and an actor who care and like to see each other attaining greater heights are involved in it. So Vikram, it's high time that you seriously think of making another movie with Aamir and we as the members of the audience would also like to see a movie that can surpass the success of 'Ghulam'.
'Kuselan' Friendship Day Celebrations in Bay Area, USA
'Kuselan' continues to make waves in the United States as one more promotional event is being planned on August 2nd and 3rd by Pyramid Saimira USA and Narmadha Travels in association with Madras Groceries and Madras Caf© in Bay Area. August 3rd is International Friendship day for 2008 and ironically, 'Kuselan', the much awaited flick which is getting released worldwide on 31st July is a movie which emphasizes the greatness of friendship. Jayavel Murugan who is marketing this movie in the USA is upbeat about ticket sales. Weekend shows have been receiving thunderous responses at the box office. For the sake of friendship
It is well known fact that young directors Bala and Amir were good friends and that they parted ways following some serious difference of opinion between the two. The less known event in the episode is something pertaining to comedian Karunas. Karunas, who has deep respect for his mentor Bala, got hurt when Amir wrote an article criticizing Bala in a leading magazine. He then severed his ties with Amir and decided not to have any contact with him in future. He stuck to the decision even when he got an offer to act in 'Paruthi Veeran'. Bala, as a sign of gratitude to such a loyalty, is planning to make Karunas as the lead actor in a film produced by him. It is said that the erstwhile Kollywood queen Simran has accepted to act opposite Karunas. The film revolves around the predicament of 'ugly husband ' beautiful wife' couple. Though putting Karunas as hero might be seen as a risk, Bala is raring to go unmindful of the results. Such is the power of his sense of gratitude.
Vishnu-Hansika off-screen friendship helps film
Refuting rumours that Vishnu Manchu stormed out of the sets of his yet-to-be-titled Telugu multi-starrer as he was upset with Hansika Motwani, the film's director Srivas said "their off-screen friendship adds intensity to the film". "A gift to a director is the chemistry between the lead actors and these two (Vishnu and Hansika) share a great chemistry. In fact, their off screen friendship adds great intensity to the film. This makes them a hit pair on screen," Srivas said. Hansika and Vishnu have teamed up for the second time after the highly successful Telugu comedy "Denikaina Ready". "I have worked with them since the first day of shooting. Both have surpassed my expectations with flawless performance in every scene," he added. The film, which also features Raveena Tandon, Manchu Manoj, Manchu Mohan Babu, Praneetha, Varun Sandesh and Tanish, is racing towards completion. It is being co-produced by 24 Frames Factory and Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures.
