Everything and anything about Sivaji managed to get media attention. The release of trailer on Wednesday in few satellite channels has kindled the curiosity more among Rajnikanth fans. It's packaged well. 'I was floored after seeing my star so young and refreshing', says an avid Rajni fan. The trailer features few punch dialogues by Rajnikanth besides the actor appearing in flashy costumes. An office-bearer of the Rajnikanth Fans Association says, 'We hope the trailer is just a sample. The release of the movie is just round the corner. We are eagerly waiting for the D-day'. A shrewd film-maker Cheran chose to go away from his traditional rural based themes for his next Mayakkannadi. Quite appropriate to the title, the actor-director has planned differently to release the audio of the movie. The movie is based on a simple theme - 'Seeing is Believing'. To catch the attention of the industry men, Cheran has come out with invitations printed using 3D technology. The audio set to tunes by Ilayaraja would be released tomorrow (8 March) at Albert theatre. The who's who of the industry would take part in the celebrations.

The whole of Chennai is now going gaga over Chennai 600028, a movie that dwells on youth and cricket. Released on Friday, the movie featuring a young brigade led by RJ-turned-actor Shiva, has witnessed full houses in all the places where it has been screened. Yuvan Shankar's peppy tunes have caught the admiration of audience. Youngsters shake their legs in theatres for Saroja Saman Nikalo song which appears towards the climax. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, Chennai 600028, the movie has a right mix of fun, sorrow and romance. Says an avid film-buff,'It is a perfect entertainer for this summer. The racy narration and interesting sequence of events makes a pleasant viewing.'

Going gaga for remakes
Remakes are ruling the roost in Kollywood. Yesteryear classics like Naan Avanillai and Billa are classic examples to it. Joining the list is KB's blockbuster hit Nootrukku Nooru released in 1971. The movie starred Jayashankar and Lakshmi in prominent roles. Now Balachander has come forward to remake the movie. He has picked Selvah to direct the remake for his home production 'Kavithalaya'. The search for the cast and crew is on. Interestingly it was Selvah, who directed the new version of Naan Avanillai, which featured Jeevan in the lead role.
Prakash gaga over 'Kuselan'
It was music composer G. V. Prakash's birthday yesterday and the young music composer chose to celebrate his birthday watching Kamal Haasan's 'Dasavatharam'. G. V. Prakash hit the limelight after coming up with several chartbusters. He is currently going gaga over his forthcoming album 'Kuselan'. Interestingly 'Kuselan' features Rajinikanth in the lead role and it is a dream for every music composer to do a movie with Rajini in their lifetime. G V Prakash has managed it so early in his career. A great news that reached him on his birthday is that 'Kuselan's' audio rights have been lapped up by Anil Ambani's Big Music for Rs 2.25 crore. A thrilled Prakash says, 'It is so far the best album of mine and I am confident that it would reach out well to Rajini fans'.
