Ganesha returns again on 22 August

As popular as to be telecast 53 times, almost once per week, with in a year of release, My Friend Ganesha a children genre blockbuster coming with a sequel on 22 of August. The popularity of INDIA's First composite animation film is so tremendous that Mr. Ajhai Acharya of BABA Arts Limited has joined hands with the entire team & have completed its sequel ' "My Friend Ganesha II" which is scheduled for release this July, and they are so confident of the movie that the work for "My Friend Ganesha III" has already started. "My Friend Ganesha II" features, besides animated Ganesha, Master Ali, Harsh Chhaya, Bhairavi Goswami, Suhasini Mulay, Sulbha Deshpande and Upasana Singh. In "My Friend Ganesha", the animated character Ganesha had learnt a few English words. Now, in the sequel, he plays a Westernised Ganesha; with a guitar in hand, donning bermuda shorts, a tattoo and a cap, speaking more English words. Recently a huge set was erected at Filmistan Studios where director Rajiv S Ruia and choreographer Lollypop were picturising a song for the film. Director Rajiv S Ruia, who had also directed the first version, was saying that children would love the song sequence as well as the film. It was evident from the reactions from the children who were participants in the song; they were thoroughly enjoying the song sequence. Rajiv S Ruia says that more or less the entire technical crew, which was associated with the first part, have been retained; only the sequel is produced by renowned banner Baba Arts Limited, known for its multi-starcast blockbusters. "While making the first part I and my writer Sachindra Sharma decided that if the film becomes a hit we will go for its sequel. Since the film was a big hit, we made the sequel and now we will launch the third part," says Rajiv S Ruia.

Ganesha vs Chanda

The coming Friday (16th November 2007) two prominent Kannada films 'Ganesha' and 'Chanda' are releasing. Jaggesh and Ananthnag for the first time to titillate the funny bones in a fun riot by the stylish director Dinesh Baboo's 'Ganesha' is the first venture of producer Srinivasulu of Hospet. Comedy in every scene in Jaggesh starring cinema is a known factor. For this versatile Ananathnag known for wittiness on and off the screen present in this film has added extra dimension to draw the family audience and comedy lovers. Manikanth Khadri son of national and international fame saxophone instrument player Khadri Gopalanath makes debut in film music in Kannada from 'Ganesha'. Ajay Rao, Rangayana Raghu, Harish Rai, Ranjini, Vanishri, Vanitha Vasu, Meghana, Dharma are also in the cast of 'Ganesha'. 'Chanda' by director S.Narayan who is also producing the film in 'Cheluvambika Pictures' banner is releasing on this Friday has already gathered good remarks for the contents in the film. Vijay of 'Dhuniya' fame and director S.Narayan combination in this power packed film is anxiously awaited by the audience and media because the film has kicked up a row with 'Yuga' starring Vijay that is running at the third week all over Karnataka. Director S.Narayan has scored the music for the first time. Jagadish Wali is the cameraman and P.R.Sounderraj is the editor of this film. Shuba Punj of 'Jackpot' is playing the female lead in this film.

Sivaji Ganeshan's grandson as hero

Nadigara Tilakam, Padma Shree Sivaji Ganeshan is well known among the Telugu audiences. His performance in 'Veera Pandya Katta Brahmana, Bangaru Pathakam, Chanakya Chandragupta', enthralled the audiences. His son Prabhu is also well known among the Telugu audiences with his hit films Gharshana, Chandramukhi and Bharani. Now, Sivaji Ganeshan's grandson, whose name was also Sivaji, is being introduced as hero with 'Singa Kutti'. A Mumbai model is playing heroine in the movie. A Venkatesh is providing story besides direction. Vivek, Sripriya, Saranya, Asish Vidyarthi, Izhavarasu, Sampath, Srinath and others are in the cast. Prasanna Sekhar, who gave tunes for several films of Ramgopal Varma's movies in Hindi is scoring music for the movie. Let us wait and watch how far this debutant hero would uphold his grandfather's name.

A hardcore fan of Ganesha

The fast rising actress Bhiravi Goswami believes that the big idol of Ganesha kept in her home answers to all of her prayers. The Bollywood babe says that Ganpati Pooja has a special place in her heart and that she totally believes that whenever she worships him Ganesh gives answers. She also says that nothing except peace is asked to the lord. Her belief in her favourite deity got stronger as her acting career is in the upswing after she did the critically appreciated role in the film 'My Friend Ganesha 2'

Krishna 100 Ganesha 50

Two Kannada films with popular God names ' 'Krishna' - starring Golden star Ganesh, Pooja Gandhi, Sharmila Mandre directed by M.D.Sridhar for Ramesh Yadav production and 'Ganesha' starring Jaggesh, Ananthnag, Rangayana Raghu, Ranjini in the lead roles directed by Dinesh Baboo for the maiden production of Srinivasulu of Hospet have completed 100 and 50 days respectively. In five theatres 'Krishna' completed 100 days while in 25 theatres the film has completed 50 days shows the gritty innings of Golden star Ganesh in Kannada cinema. Producer of 'Krishna' Ramesh Yadav has cleared all his earlier loans from this film and going ahead with three more films in his career. On the 100 days of 'Krishna' (10th January 2008) he is starting another film 'Kencha' starring Prajwal Devaraj in the direction of P.N.Sathyaa. Ramesh Yadav has two films on floor 'Akka Thangi' starring Shruthi and Rashmi and 'Januma Janumadhalu' starring lovely star Premkumar and Andrita Rai in the direction of Dinesh Baboo. Meanwhile the minimum guarantee hero of Kannada cinema Jaggesh starring 'Ganesha' has completed 50 days in Bangalore earning 75 percent of the investment. Due to lack of availability of theatres producer of 'Ganesha' Srinivasulu released the film in low key. Srinivasulu has another film all set for released 'Mr Garagasa' that has finished shooting in just nine and half days by directed by Dinesh Baboo. On the new Year day the censor board has watched 'Mr Garagasa' and said it is a family entertainer with 'U' certificate. Mr Garagasa is based on 'Dinner Game' says executive producer of the film KVR Krishna.

BAL GANESH - One more film on Lord Ganesha

After MY FRIEND GANESHA, get set to watch yet another film on Lord Ganesha that is titled BAL GANESHA. Coming under the banner of Shemaroo Entertainment, the film is completely animated, unlike MY FRIEND GANESHA which was a mix of live and animation sequences. Produced by Smita Maroo and Pankaj Sharma (who also directs the film), BAL GANESHA is about the Elephant God who is prayed to, revered and loved by all of us. It is about the God who even as a child took on all the Gods single handedly. He had the intelligence and strength of an elephant, rose to the ranks of a God, was naughty and a prankster like all of us, innocent and yet the coolest. He is Bal Ganesh. The movie relives Baby Ganesh's antics form his childhood. Spiced with foot tapping music, delicious modaks and naughty Mooshak, this 3D animation film promises to be a visual treat for all ages.
