Mega hero Allu Sirish revealed the story behind the title of their home production Geetha Arts. Many people think that Geetha from Geetha Arts was the name of his mother. However, Sirish has made it clear that Geetha was the short form of 'Bhagavadgeetha'. "My Dad was so inspired by the holy book that he named our co Geetha Arts. Many ppl think its my mum's name, her name is Nirmala," tweeted Sirish. In the meanwhile, Allu Sirish's new movie 'Srirasthu Shubhamasthu' is running with steady collections everywhere. The makers are planning to re-release the film this weekend in the US. Lavanya Triprathi has romanced Allu Sirish in this romantic and family entertainer. Thaman has scored the tunes of the film. The movie was directed by Parasuram. Mega Producer Allu Aravind produced the film on Geetha Arts.
Geeta Basra to pair with Sundar C
Popular Delhi based model Geeta Basra who has starred in Hindi movies such as 'The Train' and 'Dil Dosth' will make her debut in Tamil films opposite Sundar C. in the film 'Vaada'. Director G. Venkatesh who is currently shooting 'Durai' with Arjun is slated to direct the film. With 'Durai' almost nearing completion planning for his next film has already begun. Since Geeta Basra, like so many other heroines in the Tamil film industry, does not know Tamil, a language expert has been appointed to teach her the language. 'Vaada' would also feature Vivek, Jairam, Aasish Vidyarthi, Kalabhavan Mani and Shayaji Shinde in prominent roles. The film is produced by Screenplay Entertainment and shooting would start on August 16. Interestingly, the film will start its shooting in a Sivan Koil in Rishikesh. Despite many Hindi and Telugu films being shot there this will be the first time a Tamil film will be shot there.
Geetha Arts plans Audio Company
Geetha Arts, one of the leading film Production companies in Tollywood owned by the leading producer Allu Aravind is planning to step into the audio business as well with starting an audio company. The company which has till now have produced over 25 film under its banner extended its business to Bollywood recently. The Hindi movie 'Ghajini' having Aamir Khan as the leading man and directed by Murugadas is produced by Geetha Arts. The film is currently under production. The rights of the Hindi film which is under production have been sold to 'TV18' and Indian Film Company. The revenue created by the hit Tollywood film 'Jalsa' produced by Geetha Arts is already considered a record in the Telugu Film Industry. According to the grapevine, the successful film production company wants to take the first step into the audio business in a grand manner and the company is planning to release the music of the hit maker Rajamouli's latest film Ramcharan as its first product in the market.
Geetha Arts forages screenwriters
Established in 1974 by renowned producer Allu Arvind, Geetha Arts is the most reputed banner of the South India cinema. The movie house has delivered super hits in all the South Indian languages and also in Bollywood starring the superstars of the respective industries. The pricey movie makers are now venturing in to small scale production. Geetha Arts is a seasoned production house for making high budget films among which most of them are blockbusters. This year, the latest projects include 'Jalsa' starring Pawan Kalyan and the Hindi remake 'Gajini' starring Aamir khan in the lead. The company has generated an astounding revenue of more than 100 crores this year itself. Occasionally, they have also made low budget and mid budgeted movies. Ace producer Allu Arvind is known for giving back to back chances to young directors if his deals go well. Earlier he has roped in Maruthi for Sirish and then repeated him for Bhale Bhale Magadivoyi. Seems like another director is getting similar deal now. It's none other than Srirastu Subhamastu director Parasuram, who got a positive response from audience for his latest film that has Allu Sirish and Lavanya Tripathi in the leads. Going by reports, even Parasuram's next will be with Geetha Arts and which hero will act in the film depends on which hero will like his subject. It may be a mega hero or an outsider as well. And coming to Srirastu, today is a crucial day for the film as the collections on first Monday decides the fate of film further at box office.
Naga Chaitanya in Geetha Arts Banner!
Naga Chaitanya who has become an overnight star with his latest release ‘Ye Maya Chesave’ will be soon seen in Geetha Arts film. According to sources, Allu Aravind is planning to rope in Naga Chaitanya for a film under his mega banner, Geetha Arts. Naga Chaitanya who is currently enjoying the success of his ‘YMC’ is getting ready for his third film under the banner Kamakshi Kala Movies with D.Shiva Prasad Reddy as producer. Details of Geetha Arts project are not revealed yet and the project is in the first stages of discussion. Naga Chaitanya’s seems to be going great in the industry by bagging offers from top banners in tollywood.
