Former actress, dubbing artist and behind the success of Sihikahi Chandru ' Sihikahi Geetha has now taken up direction of mega television serial 'Point Parimala'. On the invitation of Kasturi Channel chief Smt.Anitha Kumaraswamy and lovely cooperation extended Sihikahi Geetha is following the footsteps of her husband Sihikahi Chandru. 'Sihikahi' the brand name of the star couple is the first television serial that earned popularity in Bangalore Doordarshan in the early days of television revolution. Now with the brand name 'Sihikahi' Geetha has launched the new banner 'SK Vision'. "All these years I was backing my husband and now my husband is backing me in this new venture" said Sihikahi Geetha. 'Point Parimala' slated to go on air from 21st of January in Kasturi Kannada satellite channel at 7 pm has the backing of M.S.Narasimha Murthy the eminent writer in the comedy department. He is interspersing the day today activities for his episodes that has one story every day.
Geetha Arts plans Audio Company
Geetha Arts, one of the leading film Production companies in Tollywood owned by the leading producer Allu Aravind is planning to step into the audio business as well with starting an audio company. The company which has till now have produced over 25 film under its banner extended its business to Bollywood recently. The Hindi movie 'Ghajini' having Aamir Khan as the leading man and directed by Murugadas is produced by Geetha Arts. The film is currently under production. The rights of the Hindi film which is under production have been sold to 'TV18' and Indian Film Company. The revenue created by the hit Tollywood film 'Jalsa' produced by Geetha Arts is already considered a record in the Telugu Film Industry. According to the grapevine, the successful film production company wants to take the first step into the audio business in a grand manner and the company is planning to release the music of the hit maker Rajamouli's latest film Ramcharan as its first product in the market.
Geetha Arts forages screenwriters
Established in 1974 by renowned producer Allu Arvind, Geetha Arts is the most reputed banner of the South India cinema. The movie house has delivered super hits in all the South Indian languages and also in Bollywood starring the superstars of the respective industries. The pricey movie makers are now venturing in to small scale production. Geetha Arts is a seasoned production house for making high budget films among which most of them are blockbusters. This year, the latest projects include 'Jalsa' starring Pawan Kalyan and the Hindi remake 'Gajini' starring Aamir khan in the lead. The company has generated an astounding revenue of more than 100 crores this year itself. Occasionally, they have also made low budget and mid budgeted movies. The acclaimed production house is now scouting for talented script writers preferably with experience in the film industry, from a film school or with a literature background. The story could be of any genre but should be entertaining. A recommendation has been made for the story to be registered in a recognized body before sending them. Geetha Arts will repeat this director?
Ace producer Allu Arvind is known for giving back to back chances to young directors if his deals go well. Earlier he has roped in Maruthi for Sirish and then repeated him for Bhale Bhale Magadivoyi. Seems like another director is getting similar deal now. It's none other than Srirastu Subhamastu director Parasuram, who got a positive response from audience for his latest film that has Allu Sirish and Lavanya Tripathi in the leads. Going by reports, even Parasuram's next will be with Geetha Arts and which hero will act in the film depends on which hero will like his subject. It may be a mega hero or an outsider as well. And coming to Srirastu, today is a crucial day for the film as the collections on first Monday decides the fate of film further at box office.
Geethanjali To Start From July 6
One of the most anticipated Malayalam movies of recent time, “Geethanjali” will start shooting by this July 6th. Mohanlal appears in the main role with the character named Dr. Sunny. Movie also marks the return of Priyadarshan to Malayalam movies after a short hiatus. Under the banner of “Seven Arts”, GPVijayakumar produces the movie. The script of the movie has been scribed by Dennis Joseph.Movie starring many veterans like Madhu, Siddique, Harishree Ashokan, Seema has newcomer Keerthi appearing in the heroine role. Nishan too appears in an important role. Veterans like Vidhyasagar and ONV are behind the music and lyrics of the movie respectively. Thriu is the director of photography.
Geethanjali Is Not a Comedy Film
Priyadarshan’s new film ‘Geethanjali’ is not a comedy film. All expect that it is a comedy film as before the Mohnan Lal- Priyadarshan films. But it is a horror thriller. Four characters are taken from ‘Manichithrathazu’. Mohan Lal is coming in the role of psychiatrist Dr. Sunny . Shobana’s character Ganga is coming in the role of guest actor. The characters of Innocent and Ganesh are also in ‘Geethanjali’. The film is planned to release on October.
