Director Selvaraghavan married Geetanjali yesterday at the Le Royal Meridian Hotel in Chennai. The reception for the newlyweds will take place at 6:30 pm today at the Mayor Ramanathan Hall in Chennai. Several film personalities including Suhasini, Chinni Jayanth, AM Rathinam, Prabhu, Ram Kumar, Mani Ratnam, and Aravind Samy were present at the wedding to bless the couple. Selva’s brother Dhanush, wife Aishwarya, sons Yatra and Linga were at the wedding. It may be mentioned here that Selva was married to actress Sonia Agarwal but this marriage ended in divorce.
Trisha Might Replace Anjali In Geetanjali Remake
Geetanjali was one of the Telugu sleeper hits of 2014, and it starred Anjali in the titular role. The horror-comedy, which appealed to both masses and the classes, is now being remade in Tamil. The remake was initially planned to be made with Anjali, who is quite popular in Tamil too. However, we've learnt that the opportunity has been passed on to Trisha. The makers are said to have recently approached Trisha, who is on a spree of signing horror films. Having recently starred in Aranmanai 2 and upcoming Nayaki, she has also signed another horror flick with director Madhesh, and it will be predominantly shot abroad. Geethanjali To Start From July 6
One of the most anticipated Malayalam movies of recent time, “Geethanjali” will start shooting by this July 6th. Mohanlal appears in the main role with the character named Dr. Sunny. Movie also marks the return of Priyadarshan to Malayalam movies after a short hiatus. Under the banner of “Seven Arts”, GPVijayakumar produces the movie. The script of the movie has been scribed by Dennis Joseph.Movie starring many veterans like Madhu, Siddique, Harishree Ashokan, Seema has newcomer Keerthi appearing in the heroine role. Nishan too appears in an important role. Veterans like Vidhyasagar and ONV are behind the music and lyrics of the movie respectively. Thriu is the director of photography.
Geethanjali Is Not a Comedy Film
Priyadarshan’s new film ‘Geethanjali’ is not a comedy film. All expect that it is a comedy film as before the Mohnan Lal- Priyadarshan films. But it is a horror thriller. Four characters are taken from ‘Manichithrathazu’. Mohan Lal is coming in the role of psychiatrist Dr. Sunny . Shobana’s character Ganga is coming in the role of guest actor. The characters of Innocent and Ganesh are also in ‘Geethanjali’. The film is planned to release on October.
Mamtha in Geethanjali
After the movie 'Ladies and Gentleman' , actress Mamtha Mohandas will once again join superstar Mohanlal for the new film 'Geethanjali.' This new flick by Priyadharshan takes out the character of Dr Sunny from the famous 'Manichithrathaazhu' and places it in the lead of this new movie,which will be another comedy caper. Mamtha appear as Geetha in the movie while Keerthy, the daughter of Menaka comes up as Anjali. Mohanlal will join the sets of this movie by the next week..
Nishan bags 'Geethanjali'
After doing some fine films in Malayalam like 'Rithu' and 'Ee adutha Kalathu', the non malayalee Nishan has bagged another excellent role in the new movie 'Geethanjali'.Directed by none other than the most sought after Indian director , Priyadarashan, the movie will offer Nishan the role of second hero, while superstar Mohanlal appear in the lead as 'Dr Sunny', the psychiatrist. Nishan will have new comer Keerthy as his heroine. The shoot for the movie which is keeping much of its developments as top secret , has already kick started at the capital city.
