Adnan Sami now plays GODFATHER
Move over Marlon Brando, Adnan Sami is here! 35 years back, Marlon Brando had made Don Vito Corleone a legend of sorts as he enacted the title role of all time classic THE GODFATHER. Now Adnan Sami too dons a similar wardrobe (literally) as he does his own take on GODFATHER for his upcoming music album. GODFATHER in a music video? So what's the connection? Well, in accordance to his exclusive tie up with one of the leading music channels of the country, Adnan has begun publicity of his album by acting in specially designed promos where he features as Godfather. The resemblance is simply unbelievable here as not just he dresses up like Marlon Brando, he even has the make up done in such a manner that his looks too match. Add to that the tone, voice, mannerisms and an entire body language being so similar that one can't help but one wonder if we have yet another musical talent ready to be explored as an actor!
ANR The Godfather of Telugu cinema's birthday
Akkineni Nageswara Rao is a niche for the title godfather of Telugu cinema who prevails in the industry since almost the first talkie made in Telugu. Being an encyclopedia of Telugu cinema, the veteran actor celebrates his birthday on September 20th. Akkineni Nageswara Rao can aptly be referred to as the god father as he is the man behind the relocation of Telugu industry to Hyderabad from Chennai. It was undertaken in an attempt to make movies in the native and bring Telugu cinema to lime light. On seeing deterioration in the number of films made, he started his own production house Annapurna Studios to bolster the industry. The era is even referred to as the akkineni era in which he gave a new dimension by introducing the concept of dance in the films and captivated the audience with his foot taps. He has played hero for a whooping number of 254 films. He made his debut venture as a lead in 1944 and continues to act in the recent 'Sriramadasu' which was released in 2007. Exaggeration is not the word that could be used if said there is a single role left untouched by the thespian. 'Devdas' performed by Akkineni Nageswara Rao is a mile stone in his career which is being remembered for ages. The movie was restated by adept actors Saigal, Dilip Kumar and Sivaji Ganesan in their respective languages yet they confessed their inability to portray a slick performance as the former. The era didn't conclude with 'Devdas' but continued in 'Laila Majnu' as a jinxed lover, a keen devotee in 'Vipranarayana, Bhakta Jayadeva' and the likes. Nageswara Rao was awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his life time contribution to the Indian cinema. He is also the recipient of the Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri awards. The laurelled actor is a boon to the industry for his contribution paved way for the Telugu industry which now serves as the home for a plethora of technicians and artists. musicmazaa wishes many more happy returns of the day to the thespian Akkineni Nageswara Rao on his birthday.

Saranya- The Godmother
Saranya has been around in Kollywood for long doing a variety of roles that has today earned her a name of a highly versatile and natural actress who slips into the skin of her character with ease. The actress who played the role of Kamal Haasan's heroine in the super hit 'Nayagan' today appears in the big screen mostly in the role of the Hero's mother. She was highly appreciated for her role of Jeeva's mother in the film 'Ram' in which she always faces some kind of troubles due to her son. In Cheran's 'Thavamai Thavamairudhu' and 'Em Mahan' also she enacted the roles of the leading man's mother and came out with superb performances. In the recently released Ilaya Thalapathi Vijay's 'Kurivi' she gave life to the role of a very quite sister in law. In the new film 'Thenavattu' she will be again seen in a mother's role. This role even though is a mother's character that the experienced actress has now become an expert in handling comes with a difference. She will not be seen as a polite and helpless mother who breaks down into tears so fast. Saranya will be seen as a very hard hitting and rough mother of the hero Kottasami played by Jeeva. The story of the film is set against a backdrop of a rural atmosphere. Saranya as usual will make this role also memorable and this mom role with the difference can also show the actress in a new style which can eventually lead her to getting roles that will dig more into her acting potential.
