After a pitiful 2005, this year has started pretty decently for Tollywood. The year has so far seen more hits than the corresponding year last year. Style is a certain hit. Happy with Allu Arjun is a hit. Ranam has opened to good collections. Chukkallo Chandrudu had its moments at the urban centers. Two other Sankranthi releases Lakshmi and Devadasu are close to completing 50 days across several centers. Devadasu's YVS Chowdary is over the moon at the good response that his film has elicited. He told newsmen yesterday that Devadasu has vindicated his belief that people always back a good entertainer. The film's music has been a great hit.
Good time for Sumanth
Sumanth maybe getting his timing right. His Godavari under the direction of the classy Shekar Kammula is almost ready. The audio should be out in a couple of days. The film in which Sumanth is sharing screen with Kamalini will be an interesting love story. And just on the heels of completing the film, Sumanth has been signed up by director Kanmani, who made the critically acclaimed Naa Oopiri. Katragadda Lokesh will produce the flick. The movie will have its muhurat later this month. So it is all happening for Sumanth.
Good times elsewhere
It seems that Telugu films are finding favor among Malayalam movies. Not long ago, we had films of Meera jasmine being remade in Malayalam for obvious reasons. Meera's Telugu hits like Ammayi Bagundi and Bhadra were released in Kerala. Then we had Buuny Allu Arjun's Arya dubbed in Malayalam. The songs were a huge hit there. Now Devadasu maybe dubbed in Malayalam. Sources hint that director Surya Kiran, who is also the husband of actress Kalyani (she was a Mallu actress by name Kaveri) maybe getting it released there. Good response to 'Viyyalavari Kayyalu' audio
The audio of 'Viyyalavari Kayyalu' directed by E Sattibabu, presented by Ramalakshmi Cine Creations and produced by Lagadapati Sirisha Sridhar on the banner of Larsco Entertainment under the supervision of Lagadapati Sridhar, was released into the market recently. Ramana Gogula scored music for the movie and there was massive response to the audio. The audiences, who listened to the songs through raaga.com, a popular music website, gave excellent ratings to all the songs. Of the 5 star rating, three songs had got four after five stars, while four songs have got five after five stars. Especially the song, which is a remix of an English song 'Neelaala Nee Kallu'' has become very popular among the audiences. Ramana Gogula expressed the opinion that his latest film 'Lakshmi' became a big musical hit and the audio sales were tremendous. This film would definitely surpass the 'Lakshmi' audio sales, he added.
Good response to 'Rainbow' audio
The audio of 'Rainbow' which was released into the market recently is getting a very good response, says its executive producer Kiran. Directed and produced by VN Aditya, who had earlier brought out several hit films like 'Manasantha Nuvve and Nenunnanu', the film is presently busy in post production works. Rahul and Sonal Chouhan are playing the lead in the film which is being presented simultaneously by Sri Siddartha Movies and Bharat Pictures. The executive produce says, 'We are making efforts to complete all the post-production formalities soon and release the film in June.' Director says, 'I tried my best to present a good love story with college in its backdrop in a novel angle. Three of the songs were shot abroad. Though it is a love story, it has all commercial elements. Especially the film would reflect the mindset of the present generation.' Music is by Nihal, while story, screenplay and direction are by VN Aditya.
Good News for Samantha fans
In an interview on the other day, cute actress Samantha stated that she will not work in the films post marriage. She said that she will focus on her children after her marriage. She also revealed that she is in love with a Tollywood Hero. But, she did not reveal his name, giving a chance for her fans to speculate about the person. However, here comes a Good News for Samantha fans. Speaking in a recent interview, she said, “I have decided to work even after my marriage. I will not stop working in films. I will not reveal anything about my Boyfriend and Marriage right now. I will tell you everything, when times comes.” So, cheer up fans, as you won’t miss Samantha anyway even after her marriage.
