The actress is pitted against Sivaji in the film said to be a wholesome family drama. The beautiful maiden in her next is sharing screen space with Srikanth and Charmee in the much anticipated project of Ramanaidu's. "My role carries interesting notes," said Gowri whose subsequent release Sri Krishna became a dud in the box office. Her boasted career went down in a flash which made her change destinations to Kannada 'Sukumara' and Tamil 'Singakutty'. Now she holds high hopes on her come back sled that might attain her, the much needed stardom in Tollywood. The voters are the audience who will have to elect her for the senate of Telugu Cinema.
Jaggu with Gowri
Even before Brahmastram could reach the theatres, Jagapathi Babu looks set for a new venture. According to industry sources, Jagapathy Babu's new venture will be titled Jayabheri. According to early reports, Mayajalam Venkat will produce the flick while Ravi Chawala will direct it. Sources say Gowri Munjal, who is looking for a major break after Bunny, will be the heroine.
'Gorintaku' complete, barring climax
'Gorintaku', starring Rajasekhar and Meera Jasmine as brother and sisters is nearing completion. The film is a remake of a popular Kannada hit titled Anna Thangi. It also has Aarti Agarwal playing the heroine opposite Rajasekhar. Apart from all of them, there is also Akash, playing another important role. RB Chowdhary is presenting the film in Telugu under the Mega Super Good Films' banner. The last schedule of the film will be shot between March 8 and 22 here. After Simharaasi, this will be Rajasekhar's second film with Chowdhary. The film is being finished for release in April, said the makers. It is being directed by VR Pratap, who had debuted with Nuvvu Vastavani under the same banner. SV Prasad and Paras Jain said their film would be much better and more touching than the original film.

The audio of this film will soon be released and 'Gorintaku' is all set to hit theatres next month.

The music for the film 'Gornitaku' is ready for release. Aditya music will be releasing the songs of this film on April 08, 2008. The main roles are essayed by Rajasekhar and Meera Jasmine, and the story revolves around the bonding between a brother and a sister. The director of this film is V.R. Pratap, N.V. Prasad and Paras Jain are the producers. The film is being made under the banner of R.B.Chowdary's Super Good films. The director and the producers of this flick are working hard to make this film too like the super-hit original with the same name that starred Dasari Narayana Rao. 'Gorintaku' to hit screen in second half of May
The film 'Gorintaku' based on brother-sister sentiment, with Rajasekhar playing the brother and Meera Jasmine as sister, is all set for release during the second half of May. Directed by VR Pratap, presented by RB Choudary and produced by NV Prasad and Paras Jain on the banner of Mega Super Good Movies, the film had Arthi Agarwal in the female lead. Producers say, 'Almost all the films that came on the Telugu screen with brother-sister sentiment were hits. We are also confident that our film 'Gorintaku' would also emerge winner.' Presenter of the film RB Choudary says, 'Rajasekhar's earlier film 'Simharasi' was a big hit on our banner. We are sure that this film would repeat the history. SA Rajkumar scored music and there was a very good response for the audio from the audiences. We expect the same positive response to the film as well.' Director VR Pratap says, 'We remade a Kannada film 'Anna Thangi' into Telugu. We made certain changes to suit the Telugu nativity. I am confident that the film would earn me good name on the lines of my earlier hit film, 'Nuvvu Vastavani' with Nagarjuna as hero.' It is learnt that Rajasekhar is playing dual roles as father and son. However, the father's role would last only for a few minutes.
