Somehow, both Allu Arjun and Ram Charan have agreed to do a film with Gautam Menon initially but later refused to star in it due to various issues. But finally a mega hero is said to be entering a film of this talented director. Gautham Menon actually planned a multi-starrer with Bunny/Charan, Simbu, Puneet Rajkumar and Fahad Fassil, thereby making it a four-language multi lingual film. With both the top mega heroes opting out, seems like Saidharam Tej has now agreed to star in the film. Though success rate of Mr Menon has come down these days, surely he's a top notch filmmaker with a will to deliver best quality films. Meanwhile, Saidharam is busy wrapping Tikka movie, while Gautham Menon is waiting for Sahasam Swaasaga Saagipo release.
Gowtham on the move
Though his much expected Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu is still to grace the theatres as it is plagued by several problems, director Gowtham Menon has not lost his heart. He is hopeful that all issues would be sorted out and the movie would eventually hit the screens. Meanwhile, the director has almost completed the shooting for his next Silandhi starring Sarath Kumar. Bollywood actress Tabu, who was supposed to act in the film has reportedly pulled out at the last moment and Gowtham has replaced her with a new face from Mumbai. Meanwhile, Gowtham Menon has taken the route of the likes Shankar, Saran, Cheran and S J Suryah. He has decided to turn a producer with his lucky mascot Suriya playing the hero. Buzz is that the movie would soon commence and Bollywood's model-turned-actor Milind Soman may play the negative role opposite Suriya.
Gowtham and Suriya - A new film from old team
After Sillunu Oru Kaadhal, it looks more certain that Suriya would join hands with his lucky mascot Gowtham. The duo had teamed up before to render a blockbuster in Kaakha Kaakha. According to sources, the two will team up for a movie to be produced next by Oscar Film Ravichandran. It may be recalled that Gowtham's Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu had witnessed several troubles in its release until Oscar Films stepped in to take the Chennai city distribution rights and ensure its smooth release. As a token of gratitude, Gowtham has reportedly agreed to do his next starring Suriya for the production house. (Some sources also say that Gowtham himself will produce the venture while Oscar will do the marketing). Oscar Films is currently involved in the making of few films including Kamal Haasan's much hyped Dasavatharam. Suriya's Sillunu Oru Kaadhal releases this weekend a few days before his marriage with Jyothika. Perhaps after a few days of break after the marriage, Suriya is expected to commence shooting for Gowtham's movie.
Gowtham Menon, daddy again
Director Gowtham has become a proud dad again. One of the most sought-after directors in Kollywood, well known for his cop-stories, Gowtham will be directing Suriya for his next Udal, Poru, Aavi. On Friday, Gowtham's wife delivered their second child. A happy occasion for Gowtham and his family indeed. Meanwhile, Gowtham is awaiting the release of his Pachaikili Muthusaram starring Sarath Kumar and Jothika. Several film personalities and Gowtham's crew members greeted him on becoming daddy again. Both the mother and the child are hale and healthy. We at MusicMazaa express our heartiest wishes to Gowtham and his family.
Gowtham to make Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu in Hindi
Gowtham Menon seems to be a restless spirit. His Pachai Kili Muthucharam has just released and is doing well at the box-office. Still, he is not complacent and is busy with his next project. He is currently working on the script and dialogues of Varanam Ayiram which will star Suriya. The movie is taking time to roll on, as Gowtham was slowed down by his father's illness (he passed away recently). Meanwhile, Gowtham has also decided to take his Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu to Hindi. The movie will be made in Hindi with Gowtham himself directing it. The hero and heroine are yet to be finalized. Gowtham had earlier made his Minnale in Hindi as Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein with Madhavan and Diya Mirza in the lead roles. Now, Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu would be an altogether different kettle of fish, he says.
I just followed Gowtham's instructions: Sarath
Just days before the release of Pachai Kili Muthucharam, Sarath Kumar, the genial host that he is, met the reporters informally on Monday night. Sarath fielded the various questions with his usual aplomb and kept the media men fully engrossed. The talk inevitably stayed focused on Pachai Kili Muthucharam. 'You will find a sober Sarath with a restrained performance,' he pointed out, while explaining about his character. Sarath heaped praises on director Gowtham Menon for giving him a good brief on what to do and what not to. 'I just followed his instructions,' he said with typical humility. Sarath also spoke about the brilliance of camera person Aravind Krishna. 'His close-ups will surely zap you,' he said. Sarath said he had seven films lined up including a big one with Mammootty, directed by Hariharan. Then there are also movies with Gowtham again and with K S Ravikumar as well. Pachai Kili Muthucharam releases this weekend and features (apart from Sarath) Jyothika, Milind Soman and Andrea. Music is by Harris Jayaraj.
