His CHAK DE INDIA is slated for an August 10 release but chances are that Shah Rukh Khan would be seen a little earlier too on the silver screen for another Yash Raj film. If grapevine is to be believed, SRK has been roped in for a guest appearance in the June release of YRF - JHOOM BARABAR JHOOM. A film which already has Amitabh Bachchan in a special appearance, it is also touted to have SRK included in the film's cast. Now if that indeed happens, it would be one great watch to have the two superstars sharing the same frame in the aftermath of their so-called professional rivalry that has picked up steam post DON and KBC!
Madhur Bhandarkar is guest of honor for BMM convention
The Brihan Maharashtra Madal of North America (BMM) is holding its 13th biennial convention in Seattle, Washington from 28 th June 2007 till 01st July, 2007. The BMM serves the Marathi community in the North America. The conventions which is attended by approximately 5 to 6 thousand people from all over America provides an opportunity to interact and discuss issues of common interest and provide a forum to display artistic talents. As a part of this convention the BMM has invited the Two Time National Award Winning director Madhur Bhandarkar as a guest of honor, for having made a significant a significant contribution using the film medium to portray social issues. The audience of North America has appreciated and enjoyed his thought provoking movies. They wish to felicitate him commending his efforts for bringing social conscience of his audience to the surface. Also the fact that he's a Maharashtrian makes the BMM and all the Maharashtrians in America very proud. The BMM has in their previous conventions honored other noted Maharashtrians, like Asha Bhonsle, Bhimsen Joshi, Madhuri Dixit and many other talented people having an artistic mind bend.
I’ve a guest appearance in ‘Tees Maar Khan’: Akshaye Khanna
Bollywood actor Akshaye Khanna revealed that he doesn’t have a full fledged role in Farah Khan’s next directorial venture “Tees Maar Khan”. “I’m just making a guest appearance in ‘Tees Maar Khan’. I just had to work for 10-11 days. I’ve known Farah for years now and I love her to death. She is mad, completely cranked, her films are also cranked, so it was great fun working with her,” Akshaye said. “Tees Maar Khan”, slated to hit screens Dec 24, is an action comedy starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif.
Huge guest list for 'Sakkarakatti' audio launch
A. R. Rahman's magnificent tunes for the film 'Sakkarakatti' that stars Santanu, son of K. Bhagyaraj will be released at a glittering function on July 11. The list of guests who will be attending the event is huge and impressive. Big time directors in the form of K.Balachander, Bharatiraja, Mahendran, Balu Mahendra, SP Muthuraman, SA Chandrasekhar, R Sundarajan, P Vasu, Bala, Dharani, Vikraman, Murugadoss, Cheran, Radha Mohan and of course K. Bhagyaraj would be present. The film also marks the debut of producer Kalaipuli Dhanu's son Kalaprabhu as the director. The songs in the film are expected to be huge and the picturization part has loads of Computer Generated Imagery. Ishita and Vedhika play the leading ladies and the film is produced by Kalaipuli Dhanu.
Chief Guest Confirmed For Nani’s KVPG Audio Launch
Natural Star Nani, who is basking in the glory of Bhale Bhale Magodivoy, is all set to enthrall the audience with his next titled Krishna Gadi Veera Prema Gadha.The first look poster which was released recently garnered a thumping response from the audience. As per the latest reports, the audio launch will be held on the 18th of January in a grand style and Superstar Mahesh Babu will grace the event to unveil the audio at Shilpakala Vedika. Lahari Music has grabbed the audio rights of this film. Meherene Pirzada is the film’s leading lady in the film.The plot of the story is set against the backdrop of Ananthapur and Nani will be seen as a hard core Balakrishna fan in the film. The film will be directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and Anil Sunkara is producing the film on 14 Reels Entertainment banner. The film is nearing completion and it is scheduled to hit the screens on February 5th.
