Ajay Devgn to co-host 'Gumrah 3' with Karan

Ajay Devgn will be seen co-hosting an episode of crime show "Gumrah 3" with Karan Kundra Sunday. Ajay's appearance is part of an integration of his upcoming film "Satyagraha" with the show. Karan, who is making his Bollywood debut with "Horror Story", is very excited about hosting the show with Ajay. "He's very down-to-earth and never makes you feel that he's a superstar. The experience was really nice and I had an amazing time shooting with him," he said in a statement. Prem Kamath, general manager and channel head of Channel V, said: "Television has always been a desired platform for Bollywood to connect with its audience, now Bollywood has realised that to connect with the youth of the country they would have to integrate with youth centric content which has a wide enough audience. "Channel V is the preferred choice when it comes to such content, our shows are widely watched and focus on the youth."

Abhay Deol to host TV show 'Gumrah'

Actor-producer Abhay Deol will again be seen on the small screen as the host of "Gumrah - End of Innocence" season 4. He hopes the stories will educate parents, families and also the youth. Channel V’s one-hour teen crime show will showcase 13 episodes starting Aug 31. Earlier it was hosted by Karan Kundra. “I’ve been a huge fan of the show and am excited to be a part of the greater message. ‘Gumrah’ focuses on the thought that nobody is born a criminal but instead circumstances and certain unforeseen incidents take you down a bad path. “The idea is to not only educate parents, families but also the youth,” the actor, who had earlier presented “Connected Hum Tum”, said in a statement. The "Socha Na Tha" star will be seen with a celebrity in each episode. "The show is about the youth, their tryst with crime and the circumstances which led to the incident, rather than sensationalising the crime or the criminal himself,” said Ajit Thakur - EVP and business head for Channel V.
