Yana Gupta has fun with Remo

Yana Gupta made all 'babujis' go a little slow when she danced to the tune of 'Babuji Zara Dheere Chalo' [Dum] and then had every male going 'Oh! What A Babe' as she danced to the sensational number from 'Rakth'. After this Yana was heard more but seen less, as far as Bollywood was concerned, but now her fans have some reasons to cheer as she jives to the superhit number 'REMO' from the film 'Aparichit' [originally 'Anniyan' in Tamil]. The lead hero of the film Vikram plays Remo, a super model character, and as expected the song has been lavishly picturised and stylishly choreographed. Harris Jayaraj gives music to this film directed by Shankar.

Sanjay Gupta goes 4 steps ahead of RGV

Whatever Sanjay Gupta does, he does that in style. Known for his stylish films that always wear a great looks regardless of the subject, Sanjay Gupta has gone ahead and made his intentions crystal clear about 'Dus Kahaniyan'. While Ram Gopal Verma initiated such an experiment in contemporary Bollywood with 'Darna Mana Hai' [average] and 'Darna Zaroori Hai' [flop], each of which had 6 main stories, Sanjay Gupta has taken 4 steps ahead by announcing his 10 story film 'Dus Kahaniyan'. What he does different from his contemporary is that each of his 10 stories are slated to belong to different genre'n'theme and would boast of a different treatment rather than the above mentioned films that mainly tackled horror genre. A multistarrer on the anvil, 'Dus Kahaniyaan' is certainly going to generate a lot of heat once its actual production begins.

Its that phase of Bollywood when marketing and promotion has started counting big...REALLY BIG! Sanjay Gupta, who has been a master of film's publicity recently launched 6 of his films and he has done that with style by giving his film's context with smart one liners. Here they go: SHOOTOUT AT LOKHANDWALA - What everyone saw was real.....what no one saw was the truth DUS KAHANIYAAN - Seven visionary directors, Ten spectacular stories, One cinematic journey ALIBAUG - In a cold world...You need friends to keep you warm WOODSTOCK VILLA - Where the truth lies CHAMKI CHAMELI - Love...Jealousy...Betrayal...Revenge

Sanjay Gupta brings Naseer-Shabana together after 19 years

19 years after they shared the screen space together in Vijaya Mehta's PESTONJEE (1988), Naseeruddin Shah and Shabana Azmi would be coming together again in Sanjay Gupta's DUS KAHANIYAAN. Though the two did come together in M.F. Hussain's GAJA GAMINI (2000), their characters belonged to different eras in the abstract film. While Shabana Azmi played Premchand's Nirmala, Naseeruddin Shah enacted the part of Leonardo da Vinci. It would be much simpler in DUS KAHANIYAAN though as Naseer and Shabana play the principal protagonist in a story titled RICE PLATE. The story has Shabana playing a devout Hindu woman whereas Naseer is a Muslim man. The center of attraction for both the characters is a rice plate.

Sanjay Gupta's dream comes true!

Prolific film maker Sanjay Gupta has realized his long-cherished dream of having a spacious office for his production company White Feather Films. He recently brought a seven-storey building at Yari Road, Versova and promptly christened it 'White Feather House' which will see all the various divisions of production, equipment, administration, sound and editing, post production etc under one roof. At the moment Sanjay has a three-storied office at Lokhandwala. This ambitious film maker is on an expansion mode and plans to produce a multitude of films, including a foray into art house films. Infact, insiders say that Sanjay Gupta is following the foot steps of Yash Raj Films; that of being an independent production house not affiliating to any corporate house. The insiders also add that Sanjay has ambitious plans on the anvil to start his own studio in Karjat. When contacted, a visibly-thrilled Sanjay confirmed that 'White Feather House' is a realization of a long-cherished dream. He says 'White Feather House is truly a fulfillment of a long-cherished dream of mine to house all divisions of 'White Feather Films' under one roof. The interiors of 'White Feather House' will take at least nine months to finish and so we plan to shift in January next year. I am extremely thrilled because it is a realization of my long-term goals for 'White Feather Films', and this will help us get to where we plan to reach.' Here is wishing all good luck on this new beginning to Sanjay Gupta and his entire team.

Sanjay Gupta signs Pooja Bhatt

Rumours of a fall out between Sanjay Gupta and Sanjay Dutt have been doing the rounds. But nothing seems to hamper Sanjay Gupta's flow of work. White Feather films has been on a spree of signing new directors and the look of Acid Factory has been flooding the daily papers. The latest buzz is that Sanjay Gupta has signed Pooja Bhatt for his next project which is set to go on floors by the end of this year. The star cast is yet to be finalized as Pooja Bhatt has been engrossed with the shooting of her Himesh Reshammiya flick. Not many know that Pooja Bhatt was Sanjay Gupta's original choice for his debut film Aatish. Apparently Sanjay has also signed a couple of other women to direct several other flicks for him. Meghna Gulzar and Jasmeet Dhodhi are a few names included. We wonder what's with Sanjay's sudden liking towards women directors.
