My heart beats for Kollywood: Asin

Asin, who is awaiting the release of magnum opus 'Dasavatharam' opposite Kamal Haasan, says, 'My heart beats for Kollywood and I would love to do Tamil movies more'. Asin is currently acting in the Hindi remake of 'Ghajini' and reports suggested that she would bid bye to Tamil filmdom to concentrate on a career in Hindi. However Asin, who was in Chennai recently for the audio launch of 'Dasavatharam', said, 'I would love to do Tamil movies. It is here that I rose to fame. I would continue to act in Tamil'. Meanwhile when queried about 'Dasavatharam', she said, ''I am part of history now and I had the experience of a lifetime which no one can take away from me'. On her experiences working with Kamal, she says, 'When you work with Kamal Haasan, who is an institution of his own, your energy levels shoot up to a different plane altogether'.

Vijay's heart beats for Chotta Mumbai

Vijay is planning to remake the recent Malayalam hit Chotta Mumbai in Tamil. The actor, who has seen the film last week, was very much impressed with the film and suggested that it is best suited for the Tamil masses with minor alterations in the script. The actor, who is a regular in remaking super hits from other languages, has recently remade the Telugu blockbuster Pokiri. Directed by Prabhu Deva, the film ended up a big hit completing 100 days. In the neighboring Kerala too, Pokiri also witnessed a grand opening and Vijay was in Kerala to celebrate the success.

Narain: His heart beats for action

The success of 'Anjathay' has made Narain happy. He donned an action hero in the movie. As a result, the actor is now in search of action roles. 'Doing an action hero is the easiest way to reach the masses. I understood it literally in 'Anjathay', as the response was simply stunning. Also, my wife too wants me to see as an action hero. Hence this decision,' he says. Meanwhile, it is said Narain has been reportedly flooded by offers from both Kollywood and Malluwood.

Arjun's heart beats for comedy

After establishing himself as an action-hero, Arjun is now keen on doing a comedy film. Affectionately called 'Action King' for his pulsating stunt sequences, Arjun is aspiring to do light-hearted roles. Buzz is that he has zeroed in on a couple of scripts which is laced with humor all through. It may be recalled that in the company of Vadivelu, Arjun has rendered many comedy hits including 'Marudhamalai' and 'Giri' in the recent past.

My heart betas for Kuthu songs: Vidyasagar

'The racy and fast Kuthu songs are extension of our folk numbers. I don't find any wrong in plethora of such songs in Tamil cinema these days', says music director Vidyasagar. 'Youth like kuthu songs very much. They are peppy, catchy and crispy. At the same time, I am aware that melody numbers have more life and value than the fast ones.' The music composer, who claimed that the films for which he composes music would be an album of all type of songs, added that he would never forget to include a melody number.

Imran beats Agra heat with water!

Bollywood actor Imran Khan, who is busy shooting with Katrina Kaif in Agra for "Mere Brother Ki Dulhan", has found the best solution to beat the sweltering heat - water! At times both the actors are required to wear heavy costumes in the heat. So, Imran, who is a health freak, keeps gulping down glasses of water to keep himself away from dehydration, said a source. The shooting schedule of Meri Brother Ki Dulhan, a Yash Raj Films (YRF) production, will come to an end soon. Written and directed by debutant Ali Abbas Zafar, it is set for a Sep 9 release. "Mere Brother Ki Dulhan" is a musical romantic comedy set amongst upper middle class families of North India. The story, full of humour and romance, narrates how Imran falls in love with his brother's bride, played by Katrina. Pakistani singer Ali Zafar is the other actor in the movie.
