Phir Hera Pheri - The BIGGEST promotional number ever?

BIG is the middle name of film maker Firoz Nadiadwala! Whatever the film maker dreams and eventually does, it is BIG. And more often than not, his item songs have always made news, be it the ones in 'Hera Pheri', 'Awara Paagal Deewana', 'Aan' or most recently 'Deewane Huye Paagal'. Now he attempts to repeat the same fate in his upcoming comic thriller 'Phir Hera Pheri' for which the shooting of a promotional number has just seen brisk progress. The song in picture is 'Ae Meri Zohrajabeen' and as we mentioned yesterday, it is a hit in the making due to a lively composition and rendition by Himesh Reshammiya. Well, that's not all as Nadiadwala is making all attempts by making it the BIGGEST promotional number ever! How? By roping in the principal starcast of the film - Akshay Kumar, Suneil Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Bipasha Basu and Rimmi Sen. Moreover there are more characters sharing the frame which includes Johney Lever, Rajpal Yadav and hold your breath, even Sharat Saxena. With so many actors coming together for a promotional music video, chances are bleak that the record would be broken in near future!

Aamir backs 'Phir Hera Pheri'

Superstar Aamir Khan requested producer Feroze Nadiadwala to arrange for a special screening of 'Phir Hera Pheri' for his family and friends. Khan is a huge fan of Paresh Rawal's comic timing and wanted to check him out in this fun-caper. One could hear the actor who has faced stressful times after the release of super hit 'Fanaa' burst into peels of laughter now-n-then during the course of the film. It is learnt that Aamir Khan's next film is a comedy to be directed by veteran South Indian master Mani Ratnam. Khan is on the lookout for an eight to ten year old boy for this film. And, knowing his penchant for being different, he has hit upon a new way of searching for the kid of his requirements. He has tied up with Shiamak Davar Institute of Performing Arts (SDIPA) who organize summer workshops for school children all over the country. They shall be the one who shall be chiseling out the best kid performer for Aamir Khan's next. Meanwhile, after the spectacular success of 'Rang De Basanti' and 'Fanaa', producers are willing to pay Aamir Khan unheard sums of money in the range of Rs 10 crore and above for making him concede to be a part of their films. But the headstrong Khan is not bending before their tempestuous offers. He now plans to go on a tour to US with his 'Fanaa' co-star Kajol. The money offered to both the stars is a treasure and with the world wide applause accorded to their pairing, this will be one star tour that will be looked forward to with a lot of anticipation.

Watch out for 'Ae Meri Zohrajabeen' in 'Phir Hera Pheri'

So what if 'Ae Meri Zohrajabeen' was a classic decades back when picturised on Balraj Sahni decades back for the film 'Waqt'? When Himesh Reshammiya is at the helm for a song with the same opening wordings in 2006, it is rest assured that the song would reach out to the masses, if not turn out to be a classic. That pretty much seems to be the case in 'Phir Hera Pheri' for which Reshammiya, in his trademark manner, has composed and sung the song 'Ae Meri Zohrajabeen' that has some fresh lyrics written by Sameer. A high pitched foot tapping number, it is a track that is expected to zoom up on the charts as soon as it arrives on air. With a great hit record behind him, there would be few who would doubt the expected success of the song.
