"I am blessed to have both Boman and Shabana in SORRY BHAI" - Onir

Onir is thrilled that he has managed to rope in Boman Irani and Shabana Azmi for SORRY BHAI. Not just has he managed to rope in Chitrangada Singh of HAZAARON KHWAHISHEN AISI fame along with Sanjay Suri and Sharman Joshi, he has also got Boman Irani and ever-so-selective Shabana Azmi to play the senior roles. "It was great fun to be shooting with Boman and Shabana. I had heard about the camaraderie they shared in HONEYMOON TRAVELS PVT. LTD. but I wasn't on the sets to see that happening right in front of my eyes. Though I could sense the chemistry being pretty apparent on watching the film, it was a new experience altogether to see the two gel so well on the sets of SORRY BHAI. I am blessed to have them both in my cast", gushes Onir. "These were the names I had in mind when I was writing the roles for the senior members of my cast. Though there was some decision making around the lead actors, I was never in doubt around whom did I want for the roles that Boman and Shabana enact. Thankfully, they both agreed and the work that the two are doing is there to be seen." SORRY BHAI is a romantic comedy which takes Onir away from the heavy duty work he has done in films like MY BROTHER NIKHIL and BAS EK PAL. A musical, SORRY BHAI has music by Delhi based Gaurav Dayal.

"Sorry, I am protecting my Rolls Royce" - Big B

Jiah celebrated her 19th birthday on Feb 20th and amongst her well wishers were the entire cast and crew members of 'Nishbad' who were present at her birthday party. The man who couldn't turn up was Mr. Amitabh Bachchan who was busy in shooting. But to compensate for his absence, Big B sent Jiah a life-size bouquet with a note that read, "Sorry I can't come because I am protecting my Rolls Royce." Looking at Mr. Bachchan's sense of humor, for once Jiah was left speechless!

I am lucky, says Ayesha Takia

'Working with a versatile and accomplished actor like Naseeruddin Shah is a privilege available to very few actors. Naseer is a perfectionist and I consider myself lucky to be one of his cast,' says actress Ayesha Takia who plays Khushboo, a college girl who is struck by tragedy in an attempt to rescue her friend in stellar-actor-turned-first-time-director Naseeruddin Shah's 'Yun Hota Hota To Kya Hota'. The production team claims that the film has quite an interesting concept and is sure to enthrall the audiences with performances by Paresh Rawal, Konkona Sen. Sharma, Irfaan Khan, Jimmy Sheirgill, Ayesha Takia, Ratna Pathak Shah, Suhasini Mulay and many more. The stars of 'Yun Hota To Kya Hota' are kicked about its unique concept which has four plots running parallel to each other. Various twists and turns in the story make them blend together towards the end. The film has been shot in Mumbai and New York. This film also marks the acting debut of Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah's son Imaad Shah and Ace choreographer Saroj Khan.

I am an Overseas Actor, says SRK

'I am an overseas actor,' says King of Repartee-n-One-Liners Shahrukh Khan. He also happens to be the most bankable star on the Bollywood Box Office. His last film 'Paheli' may have been another failed attempt at going out of his comfort zone (Raj and Rahul kinda cinema), but the second half of 2006 is undoubtedly going to belong to him. For Karan Johar's 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna' and Farhan Akhtar's 'Don' are the most eagerly awaited films of the year. Having spent most part of this year traveling all over the world, Badshah Khan is settling down in the rain-n-media-squelch of good-ole-Mumbai. By staking his claim at the overseas territory for 'Don' (worth Rs 12 crore), he becomes the highest paid actor in Bollywood. He knows it well that there are people who are spreading rumors about his alleged fallout with his childhood icon Amitabh Bachchan. He rubbishes such reports by stating that how can he even think of having differences with Big B as no one can come close to him. As for his discomfiture with the growing popularity of Abhishek, all he has to say is that he missed the Junior B when he had to go back to India during the shooting of KANK. In spite of both Abhishek and Hrithik being much younger to him, he still considers them as 'good friends'. A lot has been written about SRK's 'differences' with the mercurial Ram Gopal Verma who recently shelved 'Time Machine' where both were coming together for the first time. It was said that Shahrukh was incensed with RGV for making fun of Karan's films (RGV had stated in an interview that 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum' was his favourite horror film) and for also stating that working with SRK will be like going back to school insinuating about Khan's limited vocabulary as an actor. SRK clears the air by saying that at any given time he receives 10 ' 12 offers, out of which he rejects 10 and accepts only two. And 'Time Machine' is one of those ten that he refused as it was not measuring up to the mark. But the diplomat that he is, SRK is still saying that the SMS he sent to Ramu was: 'We shall tell another story some other time'. MusicMazaa looks forward to SRK rocking the Box Office in the later half of an year that is proving to be the best ever year from business perspective of Bollywood.

I Am Passionately In Love With Her, says Irfan Khan

'I am in love with her. Madly in love with her. Passionately in love with her,' says actor Irfan Khan about his character Saleem Rajabali in Naseeruddin Shah's directorial debut 'Yun Hota Toh Kya Hota' that released last week. Irfan is a younger man who indulges in a lustful relationship with a much older Suhasini Mulay. He also has a full-on kissing and love making scene with theatre actress Mulay who distinguished herself by playing Aamir Khan's mother in 'Lagaan'. How does he rate Naseer as a director? 'First rate. Innovative. And it would be a loss for the film world if he doesn't direct another film,' says Khan who has a miniscule role in Yun Hota'And Shah himself admits that not giving more flesh to Irfan's role was one of his failings as a director. Irfan earned lots of bouquets-of-congratulations for his deadly act in Mahesh Bhatt's 'The Killer' where he stalks the life of a taxi driver (Emran Hashmi) while going on a trip of professional killings. 'Job is Job'Kya Karein,' he says with a dead pan expression during the course of the film. His sinister singing session at the climax was a thrilling experience and his one liners were a pleasure. 'The Killer' has been criticized for being a rip-off of Hollywood's 'Collateral' but almost all the critics have written good things about the film after giving it one and a half or two stars. I enjoyed the trip and I am sure considering its low cost, the Bhatt Camp must have recovered their cost after the first weekend itself. Whatever follows will be a profit. Before winding up on Irfan Khan, here's a final byte from the man himself. Does Irfan Khan aspire for a national Award? 'Nah'I don't aspire for any awards,' he says with a shrug-n-smile.

I am too Sexy To Lust, says Shahrukh

'I'm too sexy to lust,' says Bollywood icon Shahrukh Khan dismissing insinuations that he doesn't share a sexual chemistry with his heroines. King Khan is getting into his own as his next big film 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna' is inching closer towards release on August 11th. 'I think people who don't feel sexy from within are the ones who lust. I genuinely believe that I am a very very sexy guy,' he adds. The SRK magic is gradually spreading around. He is giving freewheeling interviews to television channels and newspapers. His catchy one-liners are being discussed in Mumbai local trains. And the limp-walk from the John Travolta of Indian Cinema is engaging a lot of female sympathy for him already. The eternal romantic hero in him disagrees that Romance has gone out of cinema. According to him, the romance shall never fade away. 'Romance is eternal, romantic heroes are not. That may change but romance will work,' says SRK. And what about his alleged feud with Bachchans and Chopras? Shahrukh Khan in a typical tongue-in-cheek manner says that this animosity between him and Bachchans or Chopras is old news that has been done to death. So, what's new? 'I think maybe they should start talking about me and Abhishek having an affair. That would be more interesting,' says the Baazigar Khan. SRK Magic Chalega Kya! Chalega'.For Sure Chalega'.
