I FEEL PROUD OF PRIYANKA, DEEPIKA: ANUSHKA SHARMA

Anushka Sharma may not have any plan to try her luck in Hollywood, but the actress says she is proud of the work her contemporaries Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone are doing in the West. The 28-year-old actress, who has worked with Priyanka in Dil Dhadakne Do, said she is happy with her achievements. It's great that both Deepika and Priyanka are doing good work there. Priyanka has achieved so much, she is a known name there. I feel proud of them, Anushka said in an interview. The NH10 star doesn't have any such dreams and will take things as they come. There is nothing like a dream as such (doing Hollywood films). I have never planned things in life, I believe in living life or doing things to the moment. I have never planned my career here in Bollywood, so planning to do Hollywood films is a distant thing. You have to see how things come. There is no active work towards getting there (to West), she said. Anushka will next be seen in Ali Abbas Zafar-directed Sultan, which stars Salman Khan in the lead role. The YRF project will hit the theaters this Eid. The actress is currently working on her next production venture Phillauri. The movie also stars Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh, who recently made his Bollywood debut with Udta Punjab.

"I just realised my journey has been quiet a long one, from 1996 to 2011. It's only me who knows how much hard work and dedication has gone behind everything. I have been honest with my profession and brought the best of me on the screen," Bipasha told reporters here. Dressed in a formal white outfit with black beads and sequin work on it, she came for the the launch of Versace collection of watches in collaboration with Timex Group. "I feel extremely lucky when I look behind in my life. I am proud of myself and also proud of what I am today. It is a must have possession for everybody. It is also my favourite gifting option. "All the watches that (actor) John (Abraham) owns are gifted by me. Now I think his collection is set to have a Versace watch," she said. Seems like Bips and John are still seeing each other, who said they aren't?

I am a proud 36-year-old: Vidya Balan

Most actresses in tinsel town are not comfortable sharing their age, but Vidya Balan has no qualms about it! She says's she's "proud to be a 36-year-old". Vidya, who has been a part of he Hindi film fraternity for over a decade feels that the reason why not just actresses, but women in general too, are wary of revealing their age is because of the pressure to look young in a "youth obsessed society". "I don't think it's only about actresses. I think we are a youth obsessed society... the pressure on women to remain eternally young is much more. But I say I am a proud 36-year-old," the "Kahaani" actress told. The National Award winning actress said that women get worried because "desirability is often associated with age". But she added that "age is just a number really (and) we should not give anymore importance than that". Vidya, who has impressed cine-goers with films like "No One Killed Jessica", "Paa" and "Ishqiya" besides "The Dirty Picture", says while she doesn't "understand" box office numbers, she does become sad if her film doesn't do well. "I don't understand numbers... as long as I know that my films are doing well, I am happy. If the film is not doing well its makes me sad," said the actress, who last played a victim of domestic violence in "Hamari Adhuri Kahani".

I'm a proud Hindu: Rishi Kapoor hits back at trolls

Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor minces no words when it comes to expressing his views on sensitive matters -- be it blind religious beliefs as well as the meat and beef bans. That, he says, does not make him "anti-Hindu". Rishi got in a Twitter spat with a user, who wrote: "@chintskap Fools like Rishi kapoor eat beef; have a mini church at home and then call themselves a Hindu and comment on Hindu Saints. Think!" The "Bobby" actor retorted: "What I do, eat, drink or pray is none of your business." Rishi, who has been vocal about eating beef in the past, then added: "There's a perception that I am anti-Hindu. Sad. I am a 'Proud' two time a day praying Hindu. But I respect other faiths too. I just say the truth." In May, the Maharashtra government banned beef. The 63-year-old actor then landed in a soup after tweeting that he is a "beef eating Hindu". "I am angry. Why do you equate food with religion?? I am a beef eating Hindu. Does that mean I am less God fearing than a non eater? Think!!," he tweeted back then.

Anushka Sharma: Feel proud that I'm self-made

Anushka Sharma, who was brought up in an army family and transited from modelling to acting, feels she is self-made and is "very proud" of this. "As an actress, I feel I have been given this life and I want to make the most of it. I don't want to be seen everywhere. I am grateful for the fame. I am self-made and I feel very proud of that. At the same time, I treat my work with a lot of respect so it's like a gift for me," Anushka, who has shared screen space with superstars like Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan, told IANS. "I never really worked towards it (working with the Khans of the film industry). For me, it's always been about the script and the director. In my career, I feel fortunate I could work with them," added the actress, now paired with Salman Khan in the forthcoming film "Sultan". What changes has she seen in showbiz as far as women are concerned? She said: "I think it's to do with things changing in the world. Ten years ago, on the film sets you would not find so many girls working. Nowadays, so many assistants... whether it's costume or cinematography, so many assistants are women. I would say it's a welcome change."
