There is a heat storm in the Kollywood Box Office this Independence Day weekend as Simbu’s ‘Vaalu’ is pitted against the combined might of Arya-Santhanam-Rajesh’s ‘Vasuvum Saravananum Onnaa Padichavanga’. Both the films are crowd favorites with ‘Vaalu’ being the comeback film of Simbu after close to three years of self imposed hibernation. The film has Hansika as the heroine and this adds value as the two were a couple when the shooting was in progress and later broke up. ‘Vaalu’’s long battle to emerge victorious from the financial crises, the presence of Santhanam in the familiar role of a sidekick, Simbu’s punch lines and the goodwill of the Simbu fans will ensure a huge opening. ‘VSOP’ brings back the favorite combo of Arya-Santhanam-Rajesh of the mega hit ‘Boss Engira Bhaskaran’ and the presence of Tamanaah, Karunakaran and the man of the moment Vishal in a cameo will ensure packed houses worldwide. Let us know of whether your choice is ‘Vaalu’ of ‘VSOP’ by participating in the poll.
