‘Jackie’ in Namibia
Losing Rs.40 lakhs without any work sitting at the Austria hotel where Rs.6000 is expenditure for food for each as the rain lashed heavily and whole shooting was called off for three days has not bothered producer Raghavendra Rajkumar and Puneeth Rajkumar. The memorable days of shooting in Namibia for ‘Jackie’ is putting the siblings in happy mood. Puneeth Rajakumar explaining the ordeals of shooting in Namibia said after ‘Ayyan’ Tamil film it is another south Indian film to shoot. This is the fourth Indian film shoot at Namibia – the other two films are ‘Gajini’ and ‘Dhoom’. “The place like Namibia traveling is tough by the extremely good cooperation from Glen made our work easy. Going to the south of Italy was nine hours drive and we carried the jimmy jip to shoot in this place”. “In Austria this time we could not shoot because of excessive rain”, says Puneeth. “Three days we had to sit quiet without doing any work”, he remembered. In Bangalore, Mysore, Somwarpet and Kushalnagar the shooting was held. Among the highlights it is the technical and lighting pattern change of lenses. “I play the role of Janakiram in the film ‘Jackie’. Playing cards is a small portion of the film. It is difficult to narrate this film story. There is some experiment also dealt in this film”, says Puneeth.. On the double the business of his previous film ‘Prithvi’, for home banner ‘Jackie’ Puneeth says it should be like that.
Jackie's small screen lead act on hold
Around a couple of weeks back, there were talks about Jackie Shroff playing a lead role in one of Ekta Kapoor's television magnum opus. The latest reports indicate that the initiative is currently on hold and the fans of Jackie would have to wait to see him in silver screen for some more time! When asked about this development, Ekta Kapoor commented that since the role required Jackie to play a mentally challenged actor, it was mutually decided that it may not really suit his on-screen image and would be in the best interest of everyone if some other actor played that role. She added that the production house and the actor would certainly be working together when a good opportunity comes.
Jackie Shroff in Amrish Puri shoes?
So what if Jackie Shroff had some lukewarm films in recent times like 'We R Friends', 'Bhoot Unkle' and 'Mera Dil Leke Dekho'. He has a reason to smile since he may soon be seen filling up the BIG shoes of none other than Late Amrish Puri saab. If trade buzz is to believed, Jaggu dada would enact the memorable role of Rakka that was played by Amrish Puri in Feroz Khan's action thriller 'Qurbani'. Feroz Khan's 'Kurbani', the remake of his yesteryear hit, is soon to go on floors and would apparently pit Jaguu dada against Fardeen Khan [who steps into Feroz Khan's shoes in the film]. Meanwhile Feroz Khan himself plays the most interesting character of the film, Inspector Amjad Khan, which was incidentally played by Late Amjad Khan saab! Jaggu dada.....waiting to see you in this film soon!

The confusion over the much awaited 'Dasavadharam' audio release ceases to end. The date of release might get postponed further due to the change in the date of the international star Jackie Chan's arrival. It is said that the release date will be fixed according to his availability. Besides the postponement drama, the high profile guest's presence in the function proves to be a costly affair for the producers. It is said that his honorarium for attending the function, transportation expenses, security arrangement, and other expenses would come up to Rs five and half crores. But producer Oscar Ravichandran is unperturbed. He is gearing up to conduct the function in a grand manner without bothering about the expenses. The IPL matches are scheduled to be played between April 18 and June 1. So we can assume that Dasavadharam audio release to be held before April 18. Can we expect the audio to be released on Tamil New Year's Day?
