Percept Picture Company had announced its next hard hitting entertaining film JAIL. This movie will be directed by the master of the realistic cinema Madhur Bhandarkar, with Neil Nitin Mukesh as the protagonist. Madhur is well known for making out of the league sensible movies, which have been extracted from real life events. A press conference was held in Mumbai where all the cast and crew of the movie were present. Mr. Shailendra Singh, Jt. MD Percept Limited says, 'We are proud to announce JAIL with Bhandarkar Entertainment. After a successful run with Page 3, Corporate and Traffic Signal our relation with Madhur Bhandarkar has moved to the next level. With 3 national awards to his credit & accomplishments that quite speak for themselves, Madhur has established himself as a phenomenal film maker.' Jail is a hard hitting yet sensitive tale of an ordinary man Parag Dixit, played by Neil Mukesh, who finds himself inside the four walls of a prison thanks to a series of unfortunate events around him. The whole film is from his point of view and tells the stories of several other inmates of the prison. Some of these are under trials, convicts and also the cops who are in charge of maintaining the order in the prison. Jail gives a ringside view of the world that exists inside the walls of the prison spread across our country. Madhur Bhandarkar told about his new venture that, 'Jail is based on the under-trials and as the name suggests, it is the baseline of my film. I don't think a prison story like Jail has been done so far in Hindi Cinema. I always want to go into genres that are new to be explored. But there were too many practical problems. It'll be in the thriller format. I've been mulling the subject right from the time I made 'Chandni Bar'. Now I've completely revamped the film'. The shooting of the film is going to begin from October this year. The film is scheduled for a 1st May 2009 release. PPC and Madhur Bhandarkar have come a long way together with their successful association with Page-3, Corporate and Traffic Signal. Recently Madhur has won the National Award for the Best Film Director for PPC's Traffic Signal. With this award to his tally, he has struck a hat-trick of National Awards. Sanjay Proven Guilty; Max three years jail
Film star Sanjay Dutt has been proven guilty under the Arms act and he has been acquitted under the TADA laws in the infamous 1993 Mumbai Bomb Blast case. Actor who arrived with a slew of friends in twenty five cars today morning at the designated Tada court had looked tense in the morning. He faces maximum punishment of three years. Justice Kode while announcing the judgement added that Sanjay Dutt is not a terrorist. The main charges against Sanjay Dutt were that he received some of the weapons from Abu Salem which were later used in the bomb blasts. Sanjay had confessed to doing the same when he was arrested for the first time in April, 1993. But later retracted from his confessional statement. The charges allow for a bail and Dutt is likely to do the same today. The TADA court extended Sanjay's bail till December 19th. Member of Parliament and sister of Sanjay, Priya Dutt has said that the family will approach the High Court for bail if the Tada court denied it. Bollywood has come in full support of Sanjay Dutt. Film personalities like Karan Johar, Govinda, Boman Irani and Arshad Warsi welcomed the fact that Dutt has been exonerated from the dreaded Tada. Moreover with the judge pronouncing that he is not a terrorist goes a long way in Sanjay Dutt being vindicated.
Jailed Asif appeals over seven-year fixing ban
Jailed Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Asif has appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) against his seven-year ban for spot-fixing, the 29-year-old's lawyers confirmed on Saturday. Asif's legal team told the Press Association they have also filed an appeal against his criminal conviction to the Court of Appeal. Asif, former Test skipper Salman Butt and fellow seamer Mohammad Amir were all suspended by the International Cricket Council (ICC) last February after no-balls were bowled in the Lord's Test against England in August 2010. London-based SJS Solicitors claim they have solid grounds for appeal. "The appeal filed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport against the ICC ban is founded upon multiple grounds that include the argument that the ICC Disciplinary Tribunal breached its own procedures, and in other ways infringed fundamental human rights to which Mohammad Asif is entitled," said a statement. "In such a situation the ICC ban is not only flawed, it could also be unlawful." The spokesman added: "A separate appeal against the conviction has been filed in the Court of Appeal." Asif was banned for seven years, two of which were suspended, relating to spot-fixing allegations in the match at Lord's. He was then found guilty last year and received a 12-month prison term for delivering one of the no-balls. Butt was banned for 10 years - with five suspended - and jailed for 30 months while Amir was banned for five years and detained for six months after he admitted bowling two intentional no-balls.

Hackers jailbreak BlackBerry PlayBook
Three hackers say they have exploited a vulnerability in Research In Motion's PlayBook tablet to gain root access to the device, a claim that could damage the BlackBerry maker's hard-won reputation for security. Root access means a user has permission to alter any file or program on a device and can control hardware functions. In a response to queries, RIM said it is investigating the claim, and if a "jailbreak" is confirmed will release a patch to plug the hole. The three hackers - who identify themselves as xpvqs, neuralic and Chris Wade - plan to release their data within a week as a tool called DingleBerry. Apple's iOS and Google's Android operating systems are frequently attacked by users who want to run programs that have not been authorized by the manufacturers, but breaches of RIM's software are more rare. The PlayBook runs on a different operating system than RIM's current BlackBerry smartphones. However, the QNX system will be incorporated into its smartphones starting next year. The PlayBook in July became the first tablet device to win a security certification approving it for U.S. government use. In a video posted on YouTube, Wade shows the DingleBerry tool allowing the PlayBook to access the Internet video service Hulu, which is not currently available on RIM's tablet. Hulu, a service from Comcast's NBC Universal, News Corp's Fox and Walt Disney Co's ABC, blocks all mobile browsers by default and has yet to offer an app for the PlayBook. A second video showed neuralic typing commands into a computer to turn the PlayBook's LED indicators on and off. A source told Reuters that RIM had previously closed a PlayBook vulnerability that allowed a pre-loaded racing game to force a user to watch an introductory video.
Aditi Agarwal in jail
Poor girl is in news for all the wrong reasons. She was seen on all major television channels beating up a Telugu TV journalist along with her father and brother. Consequently, she landed herself in jail. The incident happened late afternoon yesterday, the threesome was arrested by the Gandhinagar Police and released later. Aditi was taking part in the wedding ceremony of her elder sister and actor Aarti Agarwal. It is said that a formal case has been booked on all the three involved. It was initially reported that it was a non-bailable warrant and that they would be kept in jail for at least a fortnight. But the latest on the case is that the said television channel would be withdrawing the case as Aarti's family had said sorry to the reporter involved in the ruckus. It is being said that the poor reporter had to face the consequence of some earlier reports that were aired about Aarti Agarwal's attempted suicide some time back by the channel. Already Aditi hardly has any films in Tollywood. Wonder where such behaviour would take her career?
