64th Golden Globe Awards on Jan. 16th
Kicking off the 2007 awards season is the 64th Annual Golden Globe Awards. Broadcast in more than 150 countries worldwide, the event promises to be the year's most dazzling salute to the world's most favorite movies and television programs. Catch Hollywood's biggest night of the year, live on Star World, this Tuesday, January 16th at 6 30 a.m (Indian Standard Time). Golden Globe is often called as the precursor to the big ticket Oscar Awards. And it also sets the tone for which film or who shall steal the thunder for best performances of year 2006.
'Desa Muduru' slated for Jan 12 release
Stylish Star Allu Arjun, who proved a hattrick hero with the successive hits like 'Gangotri, Arya and Bunny' is playing the title role in 'Desa Muduru' being directed by Puri Jagannath and produced by Bhagawan and Danayya on the banner of Universal Media. This entertainer with action backdrop will have Hansika Muthwal in the female lead. It is learnt that the producers are making efforts to release the film on January 12 as Sankranthi gift. Allu Arjun is playing the role of a crime reporter of a popular TV channel and his performance would be the highlight of the film. Chakri is giving melodious tunes to this film and the audio is most likely to be released in the first week of December.
Lakshmi Kalyanam on Jan 25
The shooting of 'Lakshmi Kalyanam' directed by Teja and produced by K Mahendra for Gita Art Pictures with Kalyan Ram, Suhasini and debutant Kajal in the lead was completed recently and it is now busy in post-production formalities. The film has marriages and related functions being held in villages as its backdrop. After a long gap, Teja and music director RP Patnaik have joined hands again for this film. There are eight songs in the film and the audio is likely to be released in the first week of January. The producers are making efforts to release the film on January 25 on the eve of Republic Day. It is reliably learnt that another popular music director is doing the re-recording.
'Maharathi' slated for Jan 13 release
The Balakrishna, Sneha and Meera Jasmine starrer, 'Maharathi' directed by P Vasu and produced by Vakada Apparao with the blessings of RB Choudary on the banner of Sri Lalitha Kalanjali Productions had completed all the post-production formalities and is ready for release on January 13 as a Sankranthi gift. Noted Kannada music director Gurukiran is making his debut in Telugu and gave melodious tunes to all the songs and the audio was proved to be a big hit. Senior artiste and glamorous heroine Jayaprada is playing a special role, while Navneet Kaur is playing an important role in this movie. Thotapalli Madhu provided the story support for this flick.
'Madhumasam' audio launch on Jan 20
Directed by Chandra Siddhartha who brought out an excellent film like 'Aa Naluguru' and produced by Movie Moghal Dr D Ramanaidu on the banner of Suresh Productions, 'Madhumasam' with Sumanth, Sneha and Parvati Melton in the lead had completed its shooting and is busy in post-production formalities. Chandra Siddhartha says, 'The film would remain a milestone in the career of Sumanth.' Hero Sumanth says, 'I have a long cherished desire to play hero on Suresh Productions banner and my dream has come true. I am very happy now. I am sure that 'Madhumasam' would be one of the best in my career.' Manisharma is providing tunes for this film and the audio of 'Madhumasam' would be launched on January 20 amidst several prominent film personalities. After completing all the post-production formalities, the producer is making efforts to release the film on February 9.
