'Banthi Poola Janaki' is, if the makers are to be believed, getting a very good response across the Telugu States. Starring Dhan Raj, Deeksha Panth, Adhurs Raghu, Rocket Raghava, Chammak Chandra, Sudigali Sudheer in important roles, this romantic suspense thriller is directed by Nellutla Praveen Chandar. "This is my second film as a director. I am extremely happy that this comedy flick is doing very well wherever it was released two weeks ago. I thank the audience for making it this big a hit. I thank my producers Kalyani-Ram-Tej trio for the opportunity. The details of my third film will be revealed soon", the director says. Encouraged by the response, the makers have added a video song featuring a song filmed on the key actors has been added. In addition, a few more comedy portions have been added.
Janaki receives Suseela award
Veteran playback singer S Janaki, who has won several National Awards, has been chosen to receive the first P. Suseela National Award. The award was instituted by the P. Suseela Trust and would be presented to Janaki on the 13th of November. According to music composer M. S. Viswanathan, 'Janaki is the right choice. She has dedicated herself for playback singing.' Though a native of Andhra Pradesh, her Tamil diction is flawless, he said and added that she is a great human being. Lyricist Vairamuthu, one of the members of the jury, expressed his admiration for Janaki, who has been singing for over six decades. The award is straight from Suseela's heart'. On the occasion, Suseela, said, it is my attempt to pay back to the industry. On instituting the award, I am planning to start a huge music library, which will house rare collections'.

S. Janaki announces retirement
S. Janaki, one of the India’s most captivating voices enthralling audiences for 60 long years as called it quits citing her age as the reason. The 78 year old melody queen has just finished recording her last song for a Malayalam film ’10 Kalpanakal’ starring Anoop Menon and Meera Jasmine. She decided to finish with this one as it is her favorite lullaby song and will not sing playback or in live events., S.Janaki debuted as a playback singer in the year 1957 for the movie ‘Vithiyin Vilaiyattu’ and sung thousands of songs most of which have been all time hits. Her duets with SPB are still popular and she had the unique child voice making her the most preferred to sing for children.
