Jazbaa' trailer to be out on Independence Day

The trailer of filmmaker Sanjay Gupta's action film “Jazbaa”, which marks the comeback of actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, will be launched on August 15, which is also the country's Independence Day. Gupta, who is gung-ho over the film after getting a casting coup with established actors like Irrfan Khan, Atul Kulkarni, Jackie Shroff, Chandan Roy Sanyal and Shabana Azmi along with Aishwarya, shared the news on micro-blogging site Twitter. “JAZBAA First Theatrical Trailer will out on 15th August 2015,” Gupta posted. As the film nears completion, the filmmaker also shared his excitement level before filming one of its “toughest scenes”. “Chilling today with the babies. Tomorrow and day after we shoot the toughest scenes of JAZBAA with Shabanaji & ARB,” he said. The first look of "Jazbaa", a Hindi remake of South Korean movie "Seven Days", has already created a buzz through a slew of posters with Aishwarya and Irrfan. The first poster of “Jazbaa” was launched at the 68th Cannes International Film Festival earlier this year. Produced by Essel Vision, White Feather Films and Viking Entertainment, it is slated to release on October 9. Gupta is meanwhile loving how his crew is like a family. “Sometimes I wonder if moving from one film to another is like moving from one home to another. New cast & crew is like a new family,” the 45-year-old posted.

'Jazbaa' gets U/A certificate

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's much-anticipated comeback film “Jazbaa” has received a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The film's director Sanjay Gupta took to Twitter to share the news. “BREAKING NEWS!!! #JAZBAA clears Censors with U/A certificate,” an elated Gupta tweeted on Thursday. Aishwarya is not the only highlight of the action thriller, as it also stars other critically acclaimed actors like Irrfan Khan and Shabana Azmi. The trailer of the film promises action, drama and emotion in a powerful and edgy way, with Aishwarya playing the role of a lawyer threatened to fight the case of a criminal, who is guilty of rape and murder. Irrfan plays role of a police official in the film. "Jazbaa" is scheduled to release on October 9.

'Jazbaa' out-and-out roller coaster ride for Irrfan, Aishwarya

Actors Irrfan Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who are starring in Sanjay Gupta's "Jazbaa", say the film "is a roller coaster ride" and they did not find anything difficult or challenging in portraying their characters on-screen. "There was no difficulty in this movie. There was always fun and excitement...'Jazbaa' is not a film where you are deciphering a role or trying to understand somebody by going into the psyche of the character", Irrfan, who is essaying the role of a suspended police officer in "Jazbaa", told IANS at a press conference, while promoting the film here. "This movie is out-and-out roller coaster ride and there was no challenge," he added. The actor, who also portrayed the role of an investigating officer in Meghana Gulzar's "Talvar", based on the 2008 murder of 14-year-old Aarushi Talwar and her family's domestic servant Hemraj, praised Sanjay's distinct style of filmmaking. "Sanjay Gupta has a particular style, I am coming from a different way of working so when two different types of projects come together they create dynamics...given the fact that if you believe in 'do kadam tum chalo aur do kadam hum chalein' (you walk two steps and I walk two steps) then the picture comes out right. It was his (Gupta's) dynamics and my way of working...it was always fun," he said. The film, which also marks Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's return to the silver screen after a gap of five years, sees the "Devdas" actress portraying the role of a lawyer. "I am a working mother, so by vocation I am a lawyer (in the film). The director has done all the research that needs to be done before presenting to the actor and it is not that its taken from reality so that you really need to match the certain kind of fact," Aishwarya said. Irrfan, who has come to the country for two days from Lithuania just for dubbing for "Jazbaa", also added that the only thing that was "tough" in the film was the "location". "The location was so tough, it was difficult to reach it. Reaching there was an achievement in itself," the "Jurassic World" actor quipped. The film, which also features Shabana Azmi, Chandan Roy Sanyal and Jackie Shroff is a Hindi remake of South Korean movie "Seven Days". "Jazbaa" is produced by Essel Vision, White Feather Films and Viking Entertainment and is slated to hit the theatres on Friday.

Aishwarya-starrer 'Jazbaa' to be dubbed in Arabic, other languages

"Jazbaa" director Sanjay Gupta says that there is an intention to take the film across the borders and that is why it is being dubbed in numerous international languages. "I don't want to make any claims that we're making the film to cross the borders. But there is an intention in place. There are cuts of the film being readied, dubbed and released widely all across the UAE. It's been dubbed in Arabic. We're also dubbing it in other South American languages (Spanish and Portuguese) and English. So there are international cuts with a slighter shorter length that will be going out apart from the diaspora release," he said to queries how the Indian appeal of the film was blended with international appeal. He was interacting with media at the trailer launch of the action thriller along with its stars Aishwarya and Irrfan. The question was prompted by the fact that "Jazbaa' features two internationally renowned stars. While Aishwarya is known internationally for her Miss World triumph and other fashion appearances such as Cannes, Irrfan is known for several of his successful films in Hollywood. On reports that Aishwarya had adopted a profit-sharing model of remuneration for the film, Gupta said that it was all success-sharing while Aishwarya heartily laughed it off, telling the journalist to come to her office to discuss the issue. "Jazbaa" is a remake of a Korean film and is scheduled to release on October 9.

Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta on Saturday announced a "wrap" on the shooting of his much anticipated film "Jazbaa", which will mark the comeback of actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. "IT'S A WRAP! And these are my warriors, my direction team that made it happen ever so smoothly. Love you guys," Gupta tweeted as the caption of an image, which features his team members. The filmmaker is relieved and in a mood to party. "Now have to come up with a venue for the #JAZBAA Wrap Party. Any suggestions," he asked the Twitterati. "Jazbaa", which stars Irrfan Khan and Shabana Azmi in supporting roles, looks like an intense film. The day before the shoot came to an end turned out to be special for Gupta as his long-time friend Sanjay Dutt, out on parole, paid a visit to the film's set. On Aishwarya's last day of shoot on Friday, Gupta wrote: "Today on the last day of ARB's shoot we had the most special visitor on set who I requested personally to come and wish us. @duttsanjay. "What an emotional moment for ARB, Ahmad Khan, Baadshaah, me and my entire crew today when Sanju dropped by to wish us all the best. Sanju was in town and I requested him to drop by our sets on his way back. He obliged and the whole crew went berserk. TRUE SUPERSTAR TRUE BRO. "Sanju was on my set today after nearly eight years. F*** what a feeling! Time, life, destiny could not keep us apart. Cheers to that."
