Kaakha Kaakha fame Jeevan is eagerly awaiting the release of Thirruttu Payalae. Directed by Susi Ganesan, it features Sonia Agarwal opposite him. Meanwhile Jeevan has accepted to be part of a short-film being churned out by director Naveen. As it happens, it is titled Jeevan. Naveen had earlier directed a short-film titled Arumbu, which was screened at various film fests. Jeevan is a short-film about romance and Jeevan would certainly do justice to his role, says Naveen.
Jeevan is chuffed
The success of Thiruttu Payalae has brought great joy to Jeevan. Now shooting for Thotta directed by Selvah, he says, 'any actor has to choose his films with caution to survive in this highly competitive industry.' 'After Khaakha Khaakha, I was flooded with offers to play the role of a baddie. However, I decided to wait. It (three-year wait) ended with Thiruttu Payalae. I believe in being patient and it has paid off. When Susi Ganesan narrated the story to me, I was confident that it would be successful. Due credit should be given to Susi Ganesan, the cast and crew, who toiled to make a quality movie. Jeevan says, 'I am in no rush to sign films. I accept films which has good script and storyline. I would love to do challenging roles'. 'My next release would be Thotta being directed by Selvah. The movie would be completed soon'.
Jeevan to star with five heroines
Jeevan will share the screen with five popular heroines in Kollywood for his next movie. The villain-cum-hero in Tamil cinema, who shot to fame with the role of a baddie in Kaakha Kaakha, is playing the lead role in the remake of yesteryear classic Naan Avanillai. The movie would be produced by noted film distributor Japak. He has reportedly acquired the remake rights of the yesteryear classic featuring Gemini Ganesan in the lead role. The new version will have Jeevan in the role of Gemini Ganesan. It is an extension of the role played by Jeevan in his Thiruttu Payalae. He plays a womanizer. The original version starred five actresses in it. In the remake, five prominent actresses have been cast including Sneha and Namitha. The third is Malavika, who acted with Jeevan in Thiruttu Payale. The fourth and fifth are Jothirmayi who was introduced in Thalainagaram, and Kirti Chawla.
Jeevan on the rise
A patient wait is paying rich dividends to Jeevan. The tall actor made his impact playing a baddie in Khaakha Khaakha. Thanks to director Susi Ganesan, he played the anti-hero in Thiruttu Payalae. The movie's success brought him more fame. However the actor hoses to wait before accepting his next movie. A long wait ended with Jeevan doing the remake of yesteryear K Balachandar's classic Naan Avanillai. He plays the role enacted by Gemini Ganesan in the movie. Also Jeevan is playing the hero in Machakaran. The movie would be directed Thamizhvanan, who wielded the megaphone for S J Suryah's Kalvanin Kadhali. Also Jeevan's Thotta directed by Selvah is nearing completion. Jeevan is hopeful of greater fortunes this new year.
Jeevan is flying high
Jeevan is happy with Naan Avanillai opening big. The movie produced by Jabak and directed by Selvah has won bumper collections in its first week-end. A thrilled Jeevan, says, 'I went around various theatres to catch the glimpse of the people's response for the movie. It is terrific and amazing. They simply love the film and appreciate our performance. It is the reward for our hard work'. After Thiruttu Payalae,' I was waiting for a good script, when Selvah approached me with the offer. It was irresistible'. On his heroines, he says,' Sneha and Namitha were thorough professionals, Malavika was a cool character while Jyothirmayi and Keerthi Chawla bowled me over with their dedication. The success is a tonic for our crew'. 'The success of Naan Avanillai has made me more cautious. I am giving my best in Machakaran to ensure that I deliver what my fans expect', adds Jeevan.
Jeevan injured
Jeevan, who is on a high after the success of Naan Avan Illai met with an accident while shooting a stunt sequence for Machakaran. Machakaran starring Jeevan and Kamna Jethmalani is directed by Tamilvannan. While shooting a stunt sequence on Tuesday, Jeevan lost his balance and fell down. He sustained serious injuries in his head and his back. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital and was given medication. The doctors advised him for rest. The actor is now taking rest at his house. According to director Tamilvannan, 'Fortunately, the injury was not critical. He is recovering fast and would join the sets soon'.
