Jeevitha Takes a Dig at Contemporary Stars

Veteran actress Jeevitha lamented contemporary Telugu cinema losing its values. While expressing her concern over for this issue in a media interview, she unexpectedly targeted Young Tiger NTR. Jeevitha cited a double meaning dialogue from 'Temper' film. "Kukkalu crossing ki vachchayi konchem help chestara?" says Kajal to NTR. And the Young Tiger replies, "Memu crossing ki vachchi chanallaindi..mammalni pattinchukondi". This particular dialogue irked Jeevitha more than like anything. Further, Jeevitha wondered heroines doing special songs. "In those day there were separate characters called vamps. Unfortunately, todays heroines are doing vamp roles apart from being heroines," moaned Jeevitha.

New politicians in the block - Rajashekhar and Jeevitha

The inevitable connection between the film fraternity and politics took a giant leap forward with Dr. Rajashekar and wife Jeevitha taking the plunge into active politics. Veerappa Moili, who handles the State Affairs of the Congress Party, started a campaign with a vision to infuse new blood into the party in a bid to strengthen it. This campaign kicked off at the Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad today. Taking this opportunity, film actors Dr.Rajashekar and Jeevitha, known for their interest in entering politics for quite some time, enroled themselves as members of the Ruling Congress party. Speaking to the media on this occasion, the couple said that they chose politics not for Power or Position, but had an innate desire to serve society using this channel. They also made it very clear that their aim is not to oppose any of their acquaintances in the fields of film or politics. A member of the press posed this question to Dr. Rajashekar. "Are you going to contest the elections against Chiranjeevi?" Dr. Rajashekar answered, 'Having joined the Congress Party, he'd execute any role assigned to him in all sincerity. It was not in his hands to decide and will fulfill the party's needs. He might even just promote the party without contesting in elections if necessary". Did anyone say 'Rajashekar has started speaking like a politician already'?

Jeevita chills with daughters

We do love our stars. But we are not star struck. However, we cannot help spotting actors, whether we go clubbing or go grocery shopping. We spotted Jeevita playing the perfect housewife-mom the other day at City Centre. Though she no longer acts, she is usually busy managing the PR and personal work of her husband and actor Rajasekhar. So this time around, she was buying groceries and was seen bonding with her two daughters. She sat on one of the benches there and ate corn along with them. The mom and daughters were caught up in animated conversation. Now, that's what we call spending quality time.
