Milind Soman as Jesus Christ?

Looks like super hunk Milind Soman wants to retain the Jesus Christ, Super star look, that he has been sporting for quite sometime now. An insider from the production unit of 'Bhram' tells us that Milind Soman, who plays the role of a suave businessman in the film, was supposed to shave off his flowing beard for a particular scene. But Milind is so much in love with his bearded look, he refused to do so. He insisted that the shot can be taken without compromising on his beard, which he has painstakingly grown. Looks like, the way he is guarding his bearded look, it's 'Praan Jaye Par 'Beard' na Jaye!!

Pawan’s Jesus film launched yesterday at Jerusalem!

Power star Pawan Kalyan who is almost ready to shake the screens with his upcoming flick ‘Komaram Puli’ has signed up a big budget film under Aditya Productions. It is said to be a multi- lingual film to be made in Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi and English. It will be produced by K.Krishnam Raju and will be directed by ace director Singeetham Srinivasa Rao. Pawan Kalyan will play an important role in this film which deals with the life of Jesus Christ. It will be a children’s movie. Though there have been quite a few movies on Christ before it will be not of that kind and will be different from all. J.K.Bharavi will be the writer for this film while Shekhar and V.Joseph handles the cinematography. The film was launched yesterday at Jerusalem and the film unit participated in the video conference and spoke to the national and international media people. Director Singeetham Srinivas Rao said, “So far the films like ‘King of Kings’, ‘Jesus of Nazareth’ and ‘Fashion of Christ’ were made on backdrop of Jesus Christ. Still we took it as a challenge to make yet another film on the same story. I along with script writer Bharavi and producer Konda Krishnam Raju worked really hard for one and half year to come out with an idea of presenting the same story in a different angle. It is a wonderful story with a lot of twists. The entire world is aware of Jesus life right from his birth till he is 12 years of age. After the age of 12, Jesus appeared again at the age of 30 to render his duties. He was 33 when he was crucified. The film depicts the story right from the birth of Jesus till he was put on cross by the Roman King.” Speaking about the film casting the director said, “In this film the entire cast is the children in the age group of 10 and 14. Since we are making a movie with casting the children, we have selected the most experienced and popular make-up man Christiana Tinsley from USA. He worked for the Oscar award nominee ‘Fashion of Christ’ film in the past. Likewise he also worked for ‘Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Paa’ recently. While we were working on the script of this film, we all thought that Pawan Kalyan is the apt choice for doing this great role which is the soul of the film. After Pawan Kalyan listened to the story and the importance of his role, he instantly agreed to do this film. The regular shooting will begin in October.” Hero Pawan Kalyan said, “Since my schooling was done in a missionary school, I admire Lord Jesus. My 5 year old son was hurt while playing. As a father I felt sad when I learnt about that small incident. During that time I remembered Mother Mary and thought how much pain she would have undergone when she watched her son being tortured to death. I even noted that incident in my dairy. Right after 4 months of that incident took place, the producer of this film approached me with this offer. We are currently living in the society filled with violence. Hence we require films that give messages to the public with love. What can I say about the director Singeetham Srinivas Rao garu, as I grew up watching his films? He is a dedicated director and I was impressed with the way he narrated the story. I’m not doing this film to get any image but only because I liked the subject. There are songs in the film but my character doesn’t have any song. I’ve given dates for about 30 days for this film. If I reveal my character now, one can guess the story easily. There are many religions in our country and all religions share love. I’m ready to do any role that immensely impresses me.” Producer Konda Krishnam Raju said, “This movie will be in the list of the highest budget films in India. I’m very happy that Pawan Kalyan is acting in this film. He was really surprised to see his animated character when we presented. He is also doing the Malayalam version. However, the heroines in Telugu and Malayalam will be different. Singeetham Srinivas Rao garu is really working very hard for the sake of this film. I’m confident that this will become the most prestigious film for Aditya Productions banner.”

I don’t want a girl like Jessy

Samantha might have impressed many and have become the hot favorite to all the youngsters with her hot looks and performance in the role of Jessy with her debut film, ‘Ye Maya Chesave’. However, seems that the Jessy character did not impress Naga Chaitanya. In a recent interview, Naga Chaitanya said that, he does not want a girl like Jessy in his real life, since Jessy is a very confused girl and does not know what she wants in her life. The young hero also added that he does not like the girls who take the back steps in their lives. Hmm… looks like Naga Chaitanya is clear about the girl he wants in his life.

Man stabs several people at Jerusalem gay pride parade

JERUSALEM – Revelers dancing and singing through the streets of Jerusalem during the holy city's annual gay pride parade were left shrieking in pain and panic Thursday night, as an anti-gay extremist lunged into a group leading the march and stabbed six people, Israeli police and witnesses said. Police said the attacker, Yishai Schlissel, who was arrested at the scene for Thursday's attack, had been released from prison just three weeks ago, after serving a sentence for stabbing several people at the parade in 2005. Six people were wounded in the attack, two of them seriously, Eli Bin of Israel's emergency service said. The Gay Pride Parade was proceeding as planned with party music, Israeli flags and rainbow-clad marchers wending their way through central Jerusalem's barricaded streets, under a heavy police presence. An Associated Press photographer witnessed the attacker enter the throng of people with his hand in his coat and within seconds raise a knife and begin stabbing people in the back. Police pounced on him and arrested him. The crowd's carefree cheers suddenly gave way to screams. Panic ensued, and a bloody woman fell to the ground, an Associated Press photographer at the scene said. A man with blood seeping from his back wandered around with a dazed look before collapsing. Another man with his shirt off also had blood dripping down his back. Medics quickly surrounded them both and applied pressure to stop the bleeding. Shocked revelers, some in tears, gathered along the sidewalk and hugged and comforted each other as ambulances and police on horses quickly arrived. While the attack caused shock, it was not unprecedented: Schlissel was convicted of a similar stabbing attack that wounded several people at a gay pride parade in Jerusalem a decade ago. On Thursday, media reports said that Schlissel hid in a nearby supermarket and jumped out to attack the march when it passed nearby. Jerusalem police spokesman Asi Ahroni said there was a "massive presence" of police securing the parade but "unfortunately the man managed to pull out a knife and attack." A medic that treated the wounded at the scene, Hanoch Zelinger, said one woman was stabbed in the back, chest and neck, and was lying unconscious on the ground. Shaarei Tzedek Hospital said it was treating two victims with stab wounds, a man who was in serious condition and a woman in critical condition, both in their 20s. The parade continued after the wounded were taken for treatment, but in a far more somber atmosphere. Media reported that thousands of Jerusalem residents who had not initially participated in the parade joined in after the attack in solidarity. "I do think that homophobia is rooted in the city, but that's the point of the parade," said Benny Zupick, 21, shortly after the attack. "We are trying to change that. And hopefully we will change that. It takes one man to create a scene like this. Hopefully he's a minority." Condemnations of the attack poured in from the heads of Israel's ultra-Orthodox parties, along with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon and others across the Israeli political spectrum. President Reuven Rivlin called the attack a "terrible hate crime." "People celebrating their freedom and expressing their identity were viciously stabbed. We must not be deluded; a lack of tolerance will lead us to disaster. We cannot allow such crimes, and we must condemn those who commit and support them," Rivlin said. Just a few thousand people usually attend the parade in Jerusalem, known for its rich religious history and tradition. A majority of Jerusalem's residents are observant Jews, Muslims or Christians, conservative communities whose members mostly frown on homosexuality. Previous parades in the holy city have drawn opposition. Jerusalem's parade is much smaller and more restrained than the annual gay pride march in the secular Tel Aviv, which was attended by some 100,000 revelers last month. Tel Aviv has emerged as one of the world's most gay-friendly travel destinations recently. The Israeli city stands in sharp contrast to most of the rest of the Middle East, where gays are persecuted or even killed in some places. Gays serve openly in Israel's military and parliament, and many popular artists and entertainers are gay, but gays still face hostility from some ultra-conservative religious communities. Israel's Channel 2 TV aired an interview that Schlissel gave to an ultra-Orthodox Jewish site recently where he spoke out against the gay parade taking place in Jerusalem. His remarks were an eerie prelude to Thursday's attack. "The struggle isn't over and the un-pure want to contaminate Jerusalem," he said. "They want to contaminate the people of Israel."
