'Jodhaa Akbar' shunned in Rajasthan!
Ashutosh Gowarikar's historical period film starring Hrithik Roshan as Jalaluddin Akbar and Aishwarya Rai as Jodha Bai will be hitting a whooping 1500 theaters world wide today. When all the film goers and the fans of this epic romance drama will get to enjoy the film's release, those in Rajasthan will be devoid of this luxury. The reason? 'Jodhaa Akbar' has been courting protests from a section of Rajputs who claim that this film is trying to distort historical facts. Though the Rajasthan High Court has issued orders for a trouble-free release of this film on Wednesday, the theater owners and cine hall managers feel other wise. A hall manager of a theater in Jaipur has said that the theater owners are watching the developments on this crisis closely and would run the film only if there is no trouble absolutely. He also expressed that they did not want to get in to any trouble that would harm the general public. It is reported that the worst fears for the theater owners are from the Rajput Sabha and the Rajput Karni Sena. The activists have appealed all cinema hall owners not to screen the movie in the state. The Rajput community claims that Gowariker is presenting Jodhabai as Mughal emperor Jalaluddin Akbar's wife, which is not true. According to them, Jodhabai was not the daughter of Raja Bharmal of Amber near Jaipur, as depicted in the film, but was the daughter of Motaraja Udai Singh of Marwar and was married to Akbar's son Salim aka Jehangir. Lets us just hope that no violence erupts due to this and puts to danger the lives of the public.

Jodhaa Akbar sets to attract tourists
'Jodhaa Akbar' the epic of Ashutosh Gowarikar that hit theaters a couple of weeks back is doing a great show and getting very positive feedback from the audience. Though the entire team has done a wonderful fare, special thanks should go to the creator of the sets and the jewellery, without which the film would have lost that magic feel. While watching the film we are transported to another era of kings and queens, palaces and forts. It is like walking through a fairytale. The palatial palaces and the fantastic forts add to the feel of the film. News is that now these sets that were erected for the filming of 'Jodhaa Akbar' will be soon open for public viewing. If it opens for the public then you and I can sit and click pictures from those places where Jodhaabai took a walk or where Akbar and Jodhaa exchanged small talk. What a luxury! The man behind the creation of these splendid sets, Nitin Chandrakant Desai, has declared that he would open his studio (N.D. Studio) for public viewing soon as in the Universal studios in Los Angeles. The sets will soon be open to the public, who, after paying a nominal fee can enjoy the grandeur of the sets.
