Rahul Bose and Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson shared some cordial and warm moments at the Oxfam event in New York. Rahul was glad that Scarlett used her celebrity status for a good cause for the benefit of chilren all over the world. "It is easy to just lend your name to a cause and forget about it. The real test to actually execute your presence and see that the funds actually used for that particular cause. I admire Scarlett and several other celebrites for that," Rahul said. Both celebrities are ambassadors of Oxfam to raise funds for Oxfam's Health and Education for all campaign. A short film shot by Rahul Bose was screened at the event. "The short film is about street kids and a very factual projection of the children who do not have access to health and education in India," said Rahul. Rahul added, "India has around 836 million poor people and the worst maternal and infant mortality rates, plus the largest number of people without any access to education," Bose said. Scarlett and he will urge governments to allocate an increased proportion of their annual budget to provide essential services to the people. "Rich countries should also support poor nations with an increased and long-term aid commitment targetting health and education sectors." 'Jaganmohini' to be launched
H. Murali is producing a film for Murali Cine Arts and the name of the movie is JAGANMOHINI. The movie will be launched on the 28th of July, at Ramanaidu Studios. Dr Dasari Narayana Rao will handle the clap and the camera will be switched on by Dr D.Ramanaidu. The first shot will be directed by Tammareddy Baradwaj. L.Suresh, C.Kalyan and R.B.Choudry will be present on this occasion. The movie will cast Raja in the lead role, while Meera Chopra and Namitha play the female leads. Ilayaraja is the music director.
Jagannath, director of RTS speaks out
In an exclusive interview to musicmazaa, Jagannath, director of 'Raman Thediya Seethai' opened up on his experiences working for 'Raman Thediya Seethai' produced by Moser Baer, work ethics brought in by the corporate world and his admiration for mentor Cheran. Speaking about 'Raman Thediya Seethai' the director said, 'this is the third film I am directing after 'Puthiya Geethai' starring Vijay and 'Kodambakkam' with Nanda. I loved every bit working for the film and I am thrilled at directing my mentor Cheran'. 'Raman Thediya Seethai' stars Cheran in the lead role along with five heroines in the form of Vimala Raman, Kaarthiga, Navya Nair, Ramya Nambeesan and Gajala and follows the journey of the protagonist in search of a wife with the characteristics he admires. Pasupathy and Nithin Sathya play important roles along with Manivannan and others. 'Though the tile of the film is the same as the MGR-Jayalalitha starrer that was released decades ago, the story is fresh and original harping on the experiences people have during the time they get married. I am sure all people who watch the film can relate to the story. That will be the strength of the film', said the director. 'Since the film itself is a journey, we have shot in 83 locations for 60 scenes. There will be no repetition of shots and even locations, and that'll work in the film's favor' said a confident Jagannath. The director was all praise for his technicians saying that the editor Kola Baskaran has been simply extraordinary and the music of Vidyasagar as refreshing and appropriate. The film has been shot extensively in Nagerkoil. Talking about Moser Baer, the director said corporate ethics like punctuality and streamlined planning is wonderful for the industry and has brought about the much needed discipline to the industry. 'Raman Thediya Seethai' is undergoing post-production work and will release soon.
Jagan's 10-Days Family Vacation
YSR Congress chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy will be leaving to Britain for a 10 days long vacation with family. He will returning to Hyderabad only on June 26th. Actually, Jagan was supposed to go to Britian on June 18th. For undisclosed reasons, The foreign trip has been preponed by two days. YCP Sources say, Vijay Sai Reddy, Botsa, Dharmana, Ambati Rambabu and Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose will take care of party activities till Jagan return to the city. Jagan's foreign trip has become a point of discussion in political circles. What message does it send to the people if an Opposition Leader goes for a vacation when his party MLAs were joining TDP one after the other and tension prevailed in the state is tense due to Mudragada Padmanabham's indefinite fast? Was he least bothered with the defections? Is Jagan trying to prove that he isn't behind Mudragada with this move?

Jagan Shaji Kailas To Make Directorial Debut
Jagan Shaji Kailas, the son of the popular star couple Shaji Kailas and Annie, will soon make his directorial debut. Reportedly, Jagan is entering the industry with a musical video, not a movie. Njan Steve Lopez fame Ahaana Krishnakumar will star in the music video which has been titled as Kari. Popular music band Masala Coffee is composing the music for the video. If the reports are to be true, Kari is an action-based music video which will provide equal space for music. More details regarding the video, including the rest of the cast and release date, will be out soon. Jagan Shaji Kailas has earlier released a short film named Bandham, which was made as a part of his studies. According to the sources, Jagan is also planning to make his feature film debut soon. Shaji Kailas and Annie who tied the knot in 1996, are blessed with threes sons Jagan. Sharon, and Roshan. Annie has recently made her comeback to the media industry, with a cooking show. The director, on the other hand, is currently on a break from films. Reportedly, Shaji Kailas is planning to make a comeback with an action thriller, which will have a M'town superstar in the central role.
