John rubbishes rumours about stage show with JLo
By Subhash K. Jha, Mumbai: Actor John Abraham, who is shooting non-stop for Ravi Chopra's "Babul" and Nikhil Advani's "Salaam-E-Ishq", rubbishes rumours about teaming up with Latin singer Jennifer Lopez for a stage show. "Where do these mediapersons get such information from? I don't know her. I have never met her," John told us. The Latin singer is going to perform in Mumbai April 23. But John says he has been pretty much on the edge, shooting features and advertisements, attending events and going to shows. "I have just been running around and around. It seems I have been working round-the-clock," he added. The giddy limit was last week when John shot back-to-back for two major films. "It was 'Babul' all day, and then 'Salaam-E-Ishq' in the night," says the "Dhoom" dude. "It couldn't be helped. 'Babul' is delayed. So it has to be squeezed into my schedule." With Amitabh Bachchan back on the scene to complete his critical pending work on "Babul", the rest of the cast is quickly doing some re-shuffling in their date diary. "Everyone wants to cooperate and get the film completed on time. The director Ravi Chopra is such a lovely man. And we are all so happy and relieved to resume shooting with Bachchan," said John.
John Abraham injured in bike accident
John Abraham was injured a little before midnight on Saturday in Mumbai as his bike hit a cycle. Two boys were riding on the cycle as it collided with John's bike. All three of them suffered minor injuries though the bike and the cycle suffered some damages. While the boys were treated at Bhabha Hospital, John was admitted to Lilavati hospital. Each of the three are in stable condition and should be back to normal soon.
John refuses another Abhishek starrer
After refusing to act in Mani Ratnam's Guru due to Abhishek Bachchan in the lead John Abraham was again approached by Shaad Ali for his film Jhoom Barabar Jhoom. In this movie also Abhishek Bachchan is starring and once again John has refused to do the films citing date problems. But the latest buzz is that John has refused to do the film because Abhishek is always given more important roles as was the case in Dhoom, and John isn't interested in playing second fiddle in the movie. He was definitely a hit in Taxi No. 9211.
John Abraham: Busy With Damage Control
John Abraham has gone in an overdrive to put the record straight. After the shocking report about Salman opting out of films starring John, Abraham dude is eager to clear the air between the two stars. He is shouting from the rooftop that he never had any problem with mercurial-temper-owner Khan during the 'Rockstars' concerts. Stressing his point of view, John is also heard saying that Salman was his senior and he learnt a lot from him. There was no problem with Salman promoting Mallika either as John Abraham has a huge fan following and he knows what he is worth. When probed about the contentious issue of paying the choreographers, John states matter-of-factly that he never opposed paying money to Bosco and Ceaser. According to him all the stars sat together and pooled in the money to help out the two guys who were a last minute inclusion and still did a great job. As for his injured leg, things are better, but he still continues to experience pain. It is also time for him to have a hair cut as the next schedule of Ravi Chopra's 'Babul' requires that. Seems Bipasha is right when she says that 'John ko buri nazar lag gayi hai'. The hottie star apparently has faced rough weather off late. Hope things get better for him.
John v/s John this December
John Abraham fans have a lot to cheer about this December. After all their favorite actor would be seen in 2 back to back releases. First to come would be Ravi Chopra's 'Babul' that has been confirmed for December 8 release. Though Big B, Salman Khan, Hema Malini and Rani Mukherjee are big attractions of the film, John too has a major part to play in the story and would be seen in a sensitive performance. If things move as per the plan, 'Kabul Express' would be the next release of John as it arrives a week later i.e. December 15th. The film's theatrical promo was screened month back and since then it has traveled numerous film festivals. The film's release has been getting pushed for all these months but now it appears that 3 weeks after their biggest project till date, 'Dhoom 2', arrives, YRF would finally give a green signal to 'Kabul Express' too and actually release it before the year ends!
