Ravi Teja Interest with 'Jolly LLB'
At a time when the Megastar himself, the star producer Bandla Ganesh and an Akkineni hero are out to do remakes, it's no wonder that the remake bug has smitten the Mass Maharaja, too. The news is that Ravi Teja is learnt to be keen on doing a remake. After the disaster of Kick2 and an average performance of Bengal Tiger in 2015, things haven't worked as planned for Ravi Teja. A film with Dil Raju didn't fructify owing to issues with remuneration. When everybody wondered what Ravi Teja might be up to, here comes the news that he has fallen in love with the Bollywood film Jolly LLB. The 2013 film, directed by Subhash Kapoor, starred Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani in key roles. Based on a real-life hit-and-run case, the film was critically acclaimed. The film even went on to earn three times its budget. The courtroom thriller was remade in Tamil as Manithan with Udayanidhi Stalin and Prakash Raj in key roles. If everything goes well, the Mass Maharaja will for the first time play the role of a lawyer. Well, we have to see as to which director will show interest in adapting the movie. One also wonders whether it's a conscious effort on his part to makeover his image.
