In his new single, Amit Tandon has given a Punjabi twist to the song “Adayein bhi hain mohabbat bhi hai” from the 1991 film “Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin”. The actor-singer says his aim is to present old classic tracks in “new light” for the young generation. After coming out with romantic tracks like “Jeeye ta jeeye” and “Lambi judaai”, Amit launched his third single on Tuesday. “'Adaayein bhi hain' is a very popular song from a super popular film 'Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin'. My aim is to present this song to today's generation in a new way with my own creative inputs with my USP - Punjabi lyrics intertwined with Hind,” Amit said in a statement. Canadian actress Nikkesha Rangwala features in the video along with Amit. What's next for him? “I am planning a mashup of a popular English song and something in Punjabi folk as well. I will also begin releasing my original tracks soon. I am excited about it," he said. Amit made his mark in showbiz through the reality show "Indian Idol". He has featured in TV shows like “Kaisa Ye Pyar Hai”, “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi” and "Ye Hai Mohabbatein".
Amitabh Bachchan delighted to shoot with Sridevi after 18 years
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who last worked with Sridevi in “Khuda Gawah” in 1993, says it is a “delight” to work with the actress after so many years in Gauri Shinde’s “English Vinglish”. “Up by 6 am and off to the gym and off to Prateeksha and off to work and right next to Sridevi, after like many moons…such a delight to be working again in front of camera with her…still the same effervescent, spontaneous, delightful Sri…,” Amitabh, 68, posted on his blog. Shinde is “Paa” director R. Balki’s wife, and Amitabh readily agreed for a cameo in her film. Sharing his experience of the shoot, he added: “Inside a Boeing 747… film directed by R.Balki’s wife Gauri titled ‘English Vinglish’… a small one day cameo…women power at its peak.” The film is Sridevi’s comeback project. Her last full-fledged role was in “Judaai” in 1997.

The evergreen beauty queen of Indian Cinema Sridevi Boney Kapoor celebrates her birthday Today. Having made impression acting in several hundred films in various languages including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam, Sridevi has managed to find a place in the history of Indian cinema with some of her soul-stirring performances. Sridevi started her career as a child artiste in the Tamil movie Kandhan Karunai in 1967. She had also been part of few Malayalam movies then. With Rajnikanth, she acted in movies such as Dharmayuddham, Priya, Pokkiri Raja, Thanikattu Raja, Adutha Varisu, and Nan Adimai Illai. Sridevi also made in roads into Telugu movies. She acted with all big in Telugu including N T Ramarao, Nageshwarar Rao, Krishna, Chiranjeevi. Winner of Filmfare Awards for Best Actress in Meendum Kokila and Kshana Kshanam, Sridevi ventured to Hindi successfully with Solva Saawan. She followed it up with hits like Himmatwala, Sadma Tohfa, Nagina, Mr India, Chandni, and Chaalbaaz. Nagina is remembered for her iconic dance sequence in the film's climax. Shekhar Kapur's all-time hit Mr India won her rave reviews. She acted alongside Amitabh Bachachan in movies like Khuda Gawah and Gumrah and movies like Laadla won her acclaims. After the blockbuster hit in Judaai, the actress married prominent producer Boney Kapoor and bid bye to the industry. Sridevi returned to the small screen, briefly, in the popular serial Malini Iyer. Jr. Mehmood directs a movie
Jr. Mehmood, who has acted in number of films over the decades as, what else, but junior Mehmood, is making a film that has been titled 'Mr Tikdambaaz'. A comedy, it stars veterans like Jagdeep, Aruna Irani, Kader Khan, Prem Chopra and Shakti Kapoor along with Johny Lever and Razzak Khan. The film is currently in the post production stage and is looking at an early 2007 release. Aadesh Shrivastav gives the music. Jr. Mehmood has acted in around 75 films over last 40 years with his last notable release being Raj Kanwar's 'Judaai'. There have been a few inconsequential movies he has done after that but they were hardly noticed. Incidentally there has been a namesake film titled 'Tikdambaaz' that was released way back in 1950. The film starred Mahipal and Nigar Sultana.
