More news →'Ms Anaara' (Fight for justice) songs recording begins
The songs recording of 'Ms Anaara' directed by V Deepak Kumar, DFT, and produced by Soma Vijayaprakash on the banner of Vijaya Cine Creations with Miss Jammu & Kashmir 2004 Anaara Gupta in the title role, and Amit, Telangana Sakuntala, Jeeva and Nutanprasad in the lead roles, began recently. The film is being made with a real life story and will have good commercial values. Producer Soma Vijayaprakash says, 'It is almost 10 years after the release of 'Mayuri' which was made with a real life story, and this film is taking shape on the celluloid. It is the story of a girl, who was selected as Miss Jammu & Kashmir in 2004, who lost all her family due to some corrupt people in the police administration. The incident had also made her to lose her entire career. She waged a silent war against the police administration. That is 'Ms Anaara'. She prepared a story based on each and every incident in her life which reveals how her beauty in itself became a curse for her. In 'Mayuri' it was Sudhachandran who portrayed her real life role in the film, and in this film Ms Anaara is playing the title role. We chose Deepak who had completed DFT and worked as an associate with noted director Ramgopal Varma as director for the film, while Venkateswara Rao, who gained experience by working with the late music director Chakravarthy as music director. We are planning to show the women's associations the injustice that was meted out to that girl. As the subject is based on real life incidents, we will shoot a part of the film in Kashmir and with the artistes there itself. The remaining part would be shot in Hyderabad. The shooting would roll on from October 30'.

'Lakshmi Bomb, most powerful since Justice Rudramadevi'
Lakshmi Manchu's next, titled as 'Lakshmi Bomb', comes with the caption 'From Sivakasi'. Directed by Gopalakrishna, it is produced by Vella MounikaChandrasekhar and Uma Lakshmi Narasimha. Touted as a comedy, the movie is currently in post-production phase. Lakshmi Manchu is playing an upright judge's character here. The title is because her character is as explosive as the Deepavali's 'Lakshmi Bomb'. "This has been a challenging and exciting project. The entire shoot was completed in a single schedule, at a stretch. The climax fight was filmed under the aegis of brother Manoj. The film will be released for Diwali", the Manchu lady says. Gunapati Suresh Reddy, the presenter says, "We were able to complete the shoot as per schedule. The fights and songs will be a major highlight. The audio will be out in the month of September". "The film is coming out very well. We are planning to release it as soon as possible once we are done with the shoot in Aug," the producers say. Director Karthikeya says, "After Jayaprada garu's 'Justice Rudrama Devi', this is the most powerful role. The climax action sequences are an asset. Our film is a new concept altogether. Sunil Kashyap is composing the music." Posani, Hema Prabhakar, Rakesh, Amith, Jeeva, Raghu Babu, Sharat, Raja Ravindra are part of the cast. Story and dialogues are by Darling Swamy. Art direction is by Raghu Kulkarni. Dance choreography is by Raghu. Cinematography is by Anji.
Manjula Should Get Justice says Shruthi
Just days after Chandrachud's first wife Manjula has gone to the family court to cancel Chandrachud's marriage with Shruthi, the actress has stated that she is shocked with the development after her wedding. Shruthi who was shooting for a serial in Chennai after her marriage with Chandrachud has come out in open for the very first time and has talked about her marriage. 'Many people are accusing me as if I have done a big mistake. I have not committed any mistake. It's an unfortunate incident. I am very much upset about the whole incident' reacted Shruthi. Shruthi said Manjula should get justice first. ‘I trusted chandrachud too much. I didn’t know that Chandachud has not got divorce with his first wife Manjula. Now the matter is in the court. I can’t talk much about it. But I don’t want any girl to face this type of situation. If somebody was there in my place they would have committed suicide. I am not expecting justice to me but I want to get justice to Manjula’ said Shruthi in a telephonic chat. After seeing the statements of Shruthi it looks her second marriage will get broken.
26/11 perpetrators should be brought to justice: British minister
Britain’s Defence Secretary Liam Fox Monday reiterated that the perpetrators of the 2008 Mumbai attacks “should be brought to justice” and that a stable Pakistan is in the interests of the international community. “The UK government has repeatedly emphasized that the perpetrators of the Mumbai attack should be brought to justice. Our Prime Minister David Cameron made crystal clear our country’s position… A stable, democratic and successful Pakistan is in all our longterm interest,” Fox said here addressing a session titled UK Defence and Strategic Review. Calling transnational terrorism a “cancer that will eat us all”, he said that Britain’s counter terror strategy with Pakistan includes building a longterm relationship with Pakistan and continuing to work with the Pakistani government to tackle all extremist groups. Appreciating India’s contribution in Afghanistan, he said that the international community is grateful to India for its $1.2 billion aid to Afghanistan. “We have recognised that there is no fully military solution to end the insurgency in Afghanistan. The ultimate solution is a political settlement that will preserve Afghanistan territorially by supporting the Afghan government and also by not upsetting the regional security balance,” he said. He pointed out that with economies and people linked threats originating from one part of the globe can become a threat to all parts of the globe very quickly. He said that defence has a major role to play in the bilateral ties of the two countries. “We wish to accelerate the bilateral programme of exchanges, training and equipment cooperation wherever we can. Ours is a partnership based on democratic values, mutual respect and shared challenges for the future.” Referring to Indian Air Force’s $11.3 billion bid for 126 fighter planes in which Eurofighter Typhoon is a contender, he said that the Typhoon has “performed outstandingly in the evaluation by IAF.” He also said that following his visit, India will see a series of visits from his ministry in the next six months. Fox, on a two-day visit, is set to hold talks with his counterpart A.K. Antony Tuesday.
