R Balki innovatively titled ‘Ki and Ka’ (based on ka from ladka and ki from ladki) is in top news again for its title. To make the buzz more exciting the makers have unveiled the look of Kareena Kapoor from the film. Cinematographer PC Sreeram shared Kareena’s look from the film with the fans on Internet. Kareena will be seen playing a career oriented corporate wife, whereas Arjun plays the role of a progressive stay-at-home husband who supports his wife’s ambitions. Arshad Ka Fuse Uda Kya?
Arshad Warsi is basking in the glorious success of 'Lage Raho Munnabhai. He also had a superhit in the form of 'Golmaal' that did exceptional business in Mumbai. Being successful is a great feeling but becoming outrageously arrogant is something that is painful both for friends-as-well-as-fans. When you see him today giving TV interviews, one can notice that devil-may-care swagger and why he didn't want to play Circuit since it was a small role (After all he came to Mumbai to become a hero how could he have played a side hero). To add to it, Arshad has been shouting from rooftops that he had added flesh-n-blood to Circuit's character as Raju Hirani, the director had made it out to be any other crony that you see in Hindi films. Without Circuit you would have been a Nobody today Arshad. He has also been openly flaunting his Mercedes and BMW and the desire to own a Bentley one of these days. In other words he says he is a superstar and that's why he is rumouredly asking for Rs 2 crore as remuneration. Life is made up of extremes. Sanjay Dutt on one hand is a changed man after the Munnabhai experience. He is making genuine attempts to be good-n-clean. Arshad on the other hand is riding a high horse without knowing that film world is a fickle world. Success or failure, there's no substitute for good behaviour. Look at what has happened with Vivek Oberoi. The man won all the best debutante awards and also had big films in his kitty. With a trophy girl friend by his side, he was The Man'and then he also made the mistake of calling himself a superstar. A few accidents, several flops and left-over by the same damsel-in-distress later, Vivek is a pariah star whom no one wants to touch. He had called himself media's blue eyed boy and today the same media can't stand him. So, Mr Warsi, it would be better if you introspect and return to the ground from that high horse of fancy. Khosla Ka Ghosla Editor stands for BMC Election
The forthcoming BMC elections are going to be a tough fight. All the battle lines are drawn between Congress, NCP and Shiv Sena-BJP along with Samajwadi Party and the newly formed MNS. KHOSLA KA GHOSLA bags BEST SCREENPLAY award
There may be murmurs (and noise) all over the town after the recent FILMFARE awards announcements but there have been few recognitions that have met with wholehearted approval. BEST SCREENPLAY award for KHOSLA KA GHOSLA is one of them. After seeing a delay in its release for around 3 years, the film opened to a howlarious response and enjoyed a consistent stay at the box office to make a decent profit for itself. And credit for that goes to an almost flawless writing by Jaideep Sahni that resulted in the film being identifiable by one and all. If there was one single factor that was most admired by the audience, it was the real-life feel that each and every sequence in the film exuded. Credit to that goes to the superb screenplay by Sahni that did the trick. No wonder this co-production of Savita Hiremath and UTV is gaining a cult status with every passing month.
'Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2' crosses Rs.50 crore-mark
Just like “Pyaar ka Punchnama” grabbed eyeballs for its one-liners and fun-filled storyline, its sequel “Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2” also has received a thumbs up from the viewers. The Luv Ranjan-directorial has collected Rs.52.30 crore at the box office. “Pyaar ka Punchnama 2”, which released on October 16 in approximately 1,400 screens across India, has received a promising response from its fans in India and around the globe, read a statement. The film stars Kartik Aaryan, Nushrat Bharucha, Sunny Singh, Sonalli Sehgall, Ishita Raj and Omkar Kapoor in lead roles. Despite facing stiff competition from Shahid Kapoor- and Alia Bhatt-starrer “Shaandaar” in its second week, “Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2” is still going strong at the box office while surpassing the Rs.50 crore-mark.
'Ki & Ka' fun, progressive: Big B
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who will be seen doing a cameo in filmmaker R. Balki's upcoming film “Ki & Ka”, says the trailer of the film looks “cool, fun and progressive”. “Ki & Ka”, which stars actors Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arjun Kapoor in the lead, is based on the life of a young, married couple whose relationship challenges the gender roles placed upon women and men in Indian society. “Next Balki film 'Ki & Ka' trailer... With Kareena and Arjun... Cool, fun and progressive... haha,” Amitabh posted on Twitter on Wednesday. In return, Arjun tweeted: “The three correct adjectives to describe you more than #KiAndKa ! Thank you for the love Amit Uncle”. In the film Arjun will be seen playing a house husband, while Kareena will play an ambitious marketing manager. “Ki & Ka”, which is slated to release on April 1, is Balki's first film in which the “Piku” actor will not be playing the lead. They have previously worked together in films like “Cheeni Kum”, “Paa” and “Shamitabh”.
