As we had reported earlier, the teaser of G.V.Prakash's 51st musical 'Meendum Oru Kadhal Kadhai' has been released today. The film is the Tamil remake of Malayalam super hit 'Thattathin Marayathu' and it has been directed by Mithran R.Jawahar. The film stars Walter Philips and Isha Talwar in lead roles. Now we learn that the teaser is being screened in theaters screening Ilayathalapathy Vijay's grand Tamil New Year attraction 'Theri'. Interestingly 'Theri' musical score is by G.V.Prakash and that is his 50th film. 'Meendum Oru Kadhal Kadhai' has been produced by Sangili Murugan and it will be released in theaters by Kalaipuli.S.Thanu the producer of 'Theri'.
Meendum Oru Kadhal Kadhai Pre-bookings Starts
Pre-bookings have already begun at SPI Cinemas for Meendum Oru Kadhal Kadhai, a musical romance film directed by Mithran Jawahar with Gowtham and Isha Talwar in the lead roles. A remake of Malayalam hit Thattathin Marayathu, the film narrates the love story of Vinod (Gowtham) and Aisha (Isha Talwar), belonging to Hindu and Islam families respectively. Music is composed by GV Prakash. The film is produced by Sangili Murugan under Block Ticket Films and Thanu's V Creations has acquired the release rights. The film has passed the censors with a clean U certificate and is set for an August 26 release.
Idhu Kadhal Varum Paruvam all ready for release
At last, director Kasthooriraja has completed his Idhu Kadhal Varum Paruvam and everything is set for the movie's release on 24 November. Going by the promos one may wonder whether it is a soft porno. Quick to deny it is Kasthooriraja. 'Idhu Kadhal Varum Paruvam speaks about the changes that occur in a teen's life. Parents should exercise caution and help them mould their life only at this period. Also it is no sequel to my Thulluvatho Ilamai. It was aimed at educating parents not to enforce their opinion on their wards'. Has commercial salability prompted Kasthooriraja to take up such themes? 'No' is his reply again. If glamour and sex sells, then almost all the movies featuring Shakila in Malayalam should have ended up as blockbusters. People want to see things that occur in their daily life. Idhu Kadhal Varum Paruvam is one such attempt.' The director also thanked Kiran for accepting to play such a complicated role in his movie and expressed confidence that it would mark a fresh beginning for her in Kollywood'.
Chennai Kadhal audio has a soft launch
The much-awaited audio of Chennai Kadhal directed by Vikraman was launched in Chennai on Tuesday. Unlike his earlier films, producer Kalaipuli S Thanu chose a soft launch for the audio of Chennai Kadhal. The audio was launched at his office without any fanfare. Chennai Kadhal features Bharath and Genelia in the lead roles. Vikraman, hitherto known for family sentiments, has chosen to explore romance in the movie. After working with his favorite music - composer S A Rajkumar for over half-a-dozen movies, Vikraman has joined hands with Kadhal fame Joshua Sridhar for Chennai Kadhal. The album has six songs penned by Pa Vijay, Vivek and Kalyanjee. Hari Haran, Karthik, Sunitha Sarathy, Sriram Parthasarathy, Naresh Iyer and Kalpana have sung the songs. Says Thanu, "It would be a different film from Vikraman's hut. He has made it look youthful and bubbling with romance."
Idhu Kadhal Varum Paruvam gets 'A' certificate
It was always on cards. With the kind of theme and treatment, Idhu kadhal Varum Paruvam, directed and produced by Kasthoori Raja, was always open for some Censor cut. Now it seems to have got it. Kasthoori Raja has made this film on adolescent love affairs. It features newcomer Harish Kumar and seems a notional follow up to the hugely successful Thulluvatho Ilamai. The movie also stars the voluptuous Kiran in a taunting dance teacher role. As the theme is slightly adult one, the Censor board was expected top wield the scissors. And they have. Apart from slapping an 'A' certificate, some steamy scenes involving Kiran have also been chopped from the film. The film may release in December.
